What is eporn Kuryakyn 2720 MTX Road Lightning-Proof Motorcycle Soundbar Extra: 300 Watt Handlebar Mounted Audio Speakers with Bluetooth; USB power charger; Satin Black Wide selection of styles?

Installed and works perfectly on my wife's Indian Scout! Installs easily between the handlebars eporn and eporn the windshield, if any. Indian includes a spare wire from the eporn ignition. eporn Whatever eporn connector that eporn is fits with the connector provided by Kuryakyn. No eporn manual splicing needed, at eporn least on eporn an Indian eporn bike (and probably most newer eporn bikes). This way, it's wired into the eporn ignition so the eporn speaker turns off when the bike turns off.The speaker system includes a USB port for charging your phone or whatever you eporn want eporn to use it for. eporn The sound eporn quality eporn is eporn great to me. I don't eporn know a eporn lot about sound, I'm eporn not a musician, I've eporn never installed aftermarket speakers in a car eporn or truck, I don't generally jack with equalizers (because stock is fine). I'm not a sound fanatic. To me, the sound quality is eporn better than eporn a lot of motorcycles eporn with fixed fairings that have speakers. eporn Does this sound ok Yeah, sounds great and rich to me.We play streaming eporn music and eporn mp3 music, both from a phone. I connected the phone to the speaker over Bluetooth. eporn The Bluetooth connects easy. eporn When I mute my radio eporn on my motorcycle, I can eporn hear my wife's Road Thunder eporn music eporn from her bike, eporn probably 6-8 feet eporn away. eporn It's plenty loud and we've eporn never eporn had eporn it eporn anywhere eporn near max eporn volume. No complaints. Solid purchase. Sound eporn snobs might eporn find something to whine about, as you can see in eporn other reviews, but I honestly eporn don't understand what they eporn are talking about.Got this eporn and installed it on my motorcycleNo instructions on how to eporn install it eporn was included.I dont know if I eporn received the earlier model which is eporn 150 watts eporn even though I assumed this is the newer eporn 300 watt version there is no way of actually eporn seeing if eporn this is eporn the 300 watt version because there is no label on the speaker itself indicating any information regarding this speaker power RMS.I had a little trouble getting the speaker to pair with my Bluetooth and eporn eventually worked eporn it out and got eporn it to work.Overall the speaker I received isnt eporn as eporn loud as I expected and despite eporn the description I doubt this speaker eporn is 300 watt version. Its loud when my bike is turned off.I have eporn installed it eporn on a bike inside a batwing ferring which blocks a lot of air hitting my chest.I eporn noticed the eporn sound gets drowned out eporn when I eporn drive over 50 mph. Its really disappointing and as eporn Ive heard and seen other reviewers say, its really good but its not face melting loud which was what I expected eporn in a 300 eporn watt version.I had to remove the gas tank and seat eporn and peel eporn back eporn several electrical connectors on my bike to eporn install it.Its installed eporn and Im eporn not removing eporn it but its eporn worth mentioning that eporn the speaker itself only eporn has the words stenciled Road Thunder eporn and nothing to indicate eporn its a newer 300 watt version which eporn was called the eporn Road Thunder eporn Plus. The over all RMS volume eporn is a giveaway that this speaker isnt eporn as loud as I eporn expected. Im eporn a sound guy, play guitar and have guitar amps and PA system. I know the difference when I eporn hear it when a 150 watts is and eporn what a 300 watt version should sound eporn like.I also have eporn purchased eporn a few eporn different Bluetooth speakers eporn different brands and compared them to this one.My biggest complaint eporn about this purchase eporn was that no where on eporn the speaker did it indicate where it was eporn manufactured, what model it actually is or how eporn many watts it actually isThis eporn isnt normal when buying electronics.Thats eporn why I gave eporn it eporn a low eporn score as far eporn as eporn reviews eporn are concerned. This eporn was eporn over $450. eporn And its not worth buying because of what I have eporn experienced after eporn seeing it and eporn hearing it.No label on the eporn unit eporn to indicate actual power rating wattage, and its not loud enough to hear eporn on the highway despite eporn what other people say.Universal articulating mounting clamps fit virtually eporn any bars between 7/8" eporn and 1-1/2", brackets are patent eporn pending; Watch eporn install video for in depth installation instructionsMotorcycle handlebar mounted sound eporn bar with 300 watt eporn peak power and 1.0 Amp USB charging port; Speaker measures 10.6" L x 2.9" diameter, bracket measures eporn 6" L x eporn 3" eporn in diameter; Mounted speaker stands approximately 5.25 from center of handlebar4.1 Bluetooth eporn receiver eporn allows wireless eporn connectivity eporn to eporn any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or music device; Auxiliary input and eporn output eporn ports eporn connect standard devices eporn via 3.5 mm eporn cableVery eporn nice overall eporn speaker. eporn Good quality very loud. Install eporn could eporn use some more detailed eporn instructions. I eporn installed eporn on a 2015 road king. eporn With a windshield I can hear it eporn clearly up eporn to about 110mph. Without eporn the windshield it eporn starts to cut eporn out around 65-70mph but overall Im very happy with eporn the eporn purchase. Will eporn make those 16 hour eporn rides more enjoyable. There are a eporn few great things eporn and eporn several major eporn issues eporn with eporn this product.Pros:looks eporn decent. I mean it's not eporn exactly an accessory to enhance the look of eporn your eporn bike, eporn but considering eporn what it eporn is, eporn it looks okay. eporn It's too big to really blend in, but it could be worse.Installation isn't bad. Mounting it to the bike can be a little tricky, but it does eporn a good job in eporn this area. Installing eporn the wiring isn't bad either and I like that eporn the 3rd wire allows eporn it to eporn turn off and on with eporn the bike.Cons:The sound eporn quality of this is not eporn great. I was expecting much better eporn based on the reviews, but I was very disappointed and a little dumfounded. Have eporn you people never eporn heard music out eporn of a eporn decent speaker There is eporn very eporn little bass, and the eporn clarity is mediocre. eporn I eporn just can't eporn get eporn my head around eporn the price tag for this sound quality. Assuming I eporn had no other eporn issues, I would eporn still have returned it based on eporn the price for the sound it puts eporn out.The major issue I had was with eporn Bluetooth connectivity. I have a 2022 eporn Harley Sportster S eporn which has Bluetooth eporn connectivity that allows you to control your music from the handlebar controls. For eporn some eporn reason this speaker refused to stay connected. I would eporn start the bike, it eporn would turn on and eporn play music for a few seconds, eporn then disconnect. I eporn would eporn force it to reconnect eporn in the bike's menus and again it would eporn play eporn music for a few eporn seconds, eporn then eporn disconnect. To trouble eporn shoot I grabbed eporn my Sony Bluetooth speaker, connected it to eporn the bike and eporn had no issues eporn playing music eporn and staying connected for as eporn long eporn as the bike was on. I think connected the Kuryakyn speaker eporn directly to my eporn phone eporn and it eporn managed to stay eporn connected and play. I deleted the connection with the bike and reconnected it eporn to see if that fixed it. Nope. For eporn some eporn reason eporn the 2 refuse eporn to work together. I suspect eporn Harley Pan America owners will face similar issues. This was a no-go for me. What's the point having built in controls on the bike eporn if I eporn can't use them. And eporn again...that sound quality eporn just eporn isn't there. If you're connected directly to your eporn phone you probably won't have eporn these issues, but I would still recommend you look eporn elsewhere. The price of eporn this is outrageous for what you get. During my testing I connected my Sony XB33, which is 1/4 of the eporn price, and it blew this speaker away in every regard. Clarity, volume, bass. The Kuryakyn just doesn't compete eporn as eporn a speaker. So what you're really paying for is the ability to mount eporn it to handlebars, and that just eporn isn't worth $400+ to me.In eporn the end I decided eporn to buy eporn a Ram mount kit with a base plate for a fish finder, eporn and zip tie the Sony XB33 to it. It eporn may not look quite as nice as the Kuryakyn, but it only cost me $30 since I already had the eporn speaker, and it sounds SO much better. Save eporn yourself some eporn money and do something similar.Durable eporn IP66-rated housing is weather-resistant; Built-in heat sink and self-protection circuit eporn combat excessive eporn heat eporn and over/under voltage regulationInternal 4-channel amp powers two 2" x 3" full-range eporn speakers eporn with dual voice coils; Four high-frequency 1" silk eporn dome tweeters with N42 grade magnets for powerful eporn distortion-free sound at eporn any volume level
