I didn't want to shell out the money for a Raspberry pi 4 so I took a chance on this.All I had to do was run a git clone and run a script that converted my OpenWebRx installation to be compatible with this board. I plugged it in and didn't lose any data. I'm running 3 clients on OpenWebRx and the buffer is keeping at around 0.4s. So at least 3 times faster than the Pi in this situation. I bought 2 more.I noticed that it doesn't have WiFi or Bluetooth, which is fine for me and is probably helping in this case to release more processing power to what I need. We'll see how long it lasts.

There's no way around this without patching the kernel.If you're using a hat that uses gpio 11, this board won't work for you right now.Also, if you're going to use gpio libraries, you might have to do some major rewriting. Its not impossible by any means, but you'll have to invest more time into it than you were expecting. Libraries like rpi-rgb-led-matrix aren't portable. Arguably, they should be, but they're not. They bit bang the gpio directly, and the assignments are different.But, it still gets four stars. I couldn't use it for what I wanted, but my use case is a bit complex. Also seems to be the most up to date OS for the Le Potato. Make sure you get a decent grade 10 micro SD as well to avoid Micro SD card issues. I'm using a PNY 64GB elite-x in the tater. No issues so far with that SD.


      5: Mine came with the 9J3 jumper across the TX/RX pins.
