NETGEAR decorated adidas Armor protects your family's WiFi with an decorated adidas automatic decorated adidas shield of security across all your connected devices with a decorated adidas 30-day free decorated adidas trialSUPER fast, but is it worth the insane priceThis will be my third Orbi decorated adidas system. decorated adidas I had the original, then the decorated adidas Pro (which was hamstrung by 2021's requirement to decorated adidas pay monthly for a decorated adidas service to get decorated adidas full decorated adidas support out of it), and decorated adidas now this one. decorated adidas In our home we cannot decorated adidas easily run cable so the decorated adidas dedicated decorated adidas backhaul has always decorated adidas been a highlight for me vs. other mesh decorated adidas systems.Even decorated adidas with our Orbi Pro decorated adidas we weren't getting that great of performance. We have AT&T Gigabit decorated adidas Fiber, and we'd decorated adidas never get decorated adidas more decorated adidas than 200-300 Mbps on any device. Our desktops decorated adidas (and decorated adidas a few devices) are wired decorated adidas to the satellites and decorated adidas the dedicated decorated adidas backhaul should have been decorated adidas sufficient to give us better than that level of performance in our ranch style decorated adidas house. We decided to move from decorated adidas the decorated adidas Pro to this even though the cost was super high. Awfully expensive compared to anything else in its decorated adidas class. Yet we both decorated adidas typically work from home and need stability and speed for all of decorated adidas our decorated adidas devices and computers. We thought we'd give this new 6E decorated adidas system decorated adidas a try decorated adidas and if decorated adidas it weren't better, we'd return decorated adidas it. (I was almost hoping it wouldn't be better to avoid decorated adidas this price point!)Well... it IS better. Insanely better. WOW! I have my decorated adidas AT&T Fiber Modem in IP Passthrough mode (I decorated adidas hate decorated adidas their decorated adidas interface) so that we can use the Orbi as decorated adidas the router. decorated adidas We decorated adidas are decorated adidas consistently getting 700-950 Mbps down and 700-over 1000 Mbps decorated adidas up decorated adidas on decorated adidas computers wired to the decorated adidas satellites (NOT wired decorated adidas to the router, using decorated adidas the dedicated backhaul). Absolutely amazing. Phones and tablets on decorated adidas Wi-Fi to the decorated adidas system are getting 400-600 Mbps. Modern laptops decorated adidas on Wi-Fi decorated adidas are decorated adidas getting 500-700 Mbps. Pings are in the 5-7ms decorated adidas range. That's the fastest I've decorated adidas seen with any decorated adidas router decorated adidas / decorated adidas access point setup I've done with this fiber connection unless I'm hard decorated adidas wired directly to decorated adidas the modem (which decorated adidas will typically get decorated adidas me over 1 Gbps both directions). The bottom decorated adidas line is that decorated adidas this thing is solid decorated adidas and decorated adidas fast! Now decorated adidas we've only had decorated adidas it for decorated adidas a few days. Time decorated adidas will tell how decorated adidas it holds up. decorated adidas Is it worth the money It depends. If you have a 500+ decorated adidas Mbps WAN (Internet) connection decorated adidas and really need the fastest decorated adidas connection and can't decorated adidas go wired, then yes. Lots of streaming meetings, games, decorated adidas TV, all at the same time... totally worth it decorated adidas to save your decorated adidas sanity. Otherwise, I decorated adidas don't think it is. You can get something good (even other Orbi decorated adidas systems) for 1/3 the price. But if decorated adidas stability decorated adidas and speed are paramount for you and you have a limit decorated adidas on being able to go wired, then this thing decorated adidas just might be decorated adidas worth it for you.Connects to your existing cable modem, and replaces your WiFi routerSets up in minutes decorated adidas with the Orbi decorated adidas App; easily manage WiFi settings, decorated adidas test internet speed, and monitor data usageCompatible with any internet service provider up to 2.5Gbps including cable, satellite, fiber and DSLUltrafast AX6000 gigabit decorated adidas speed with WiFi 6 technology for uninterrupted streaming, decorated adidas HD decorated adidas video gaming, decorated adidas and web conferencingCoverage up to 5,000 sq. ft. and decorated adidas for up to 100 devices. Extend coverage up decorated adidas to 2,500 sq. ft. with each additional satellite (sold separately)Backed by a 1-year limited hardware warrantyPlug in computers, game consoles, streaming decorated adidas players, and more with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports on decorated adidas the router and each satelliteNETGEAR Smart Parental Controls promotes healthy Internet habits, fosters responsibility and builds decorated adidas trust with your kids decorated adidas (30-day free trial included)WARNING: Several modems (including decorated adidas SpaceX's StarLink specifically) have issues decorated adidas renewing DHCP leases. decorated adidas Constantly unplugging the WAN port from decorated adidas RBRE is required decorated adidas for new decorated adidas lease and internet functionality!REVIEW: Buying this for the decorated adidas best decorated adidas of the best decorated adidas is quite frankly the biggest tech disappointment Ive ever had to endure.Think of decorated adidas it as upgrading from a 2018 Mercedes Benz (RAX200) to a 2022 decorated adidas Mercedes Benz (RBKE963) - decorated adidas the 2022 goes a little decorated adidas faster, but every feature inside the car has been decorated adidas stripped away completely.Seriously, how can you guys charge $1,499 USD for a decorated adidas mesh decorated adidas hardware system that comes with software that is decorated adidas an abysmal mess.- First of all decorated adidas if decorated adidas you use a Static IP, forget about decorated adidas it, prepare to rip your hair decorated adidas out during initial decorated adidas setup decorated adidas and decorated adidas reset the unit several decorated adidas times decorated adidas just for the static decorated adidas to function decorated adidas correctly.- Want decorated adidas to split your decorated adidas 2.4ghz and decorated adidas 5ghz bands Nope, not possible. You are forced into using one decorated adidas SSID that decorated adidas combines decorated adidas them all. This decorated adidas will cause all sorts of issues on certain smart decorated adidas home setups, specifically decorated adidas legacy ones.- Want to force a daisy chain setup decorated adidas due to your decorated adidas specific satellite placement. Nope, forget decorated adidas about it, not possible to choose/force a daisy chain, the decorated adidas router decorated adidas decides automatically and 80% of decorated adidas the time decides wrong in specific house decorated adidas configurations, meaning both satellites will connect decorated adidas to the router and one will have terrible connectivity, decorated adidas you decorated adidas need to continue rebooting to get the daisy chain decorated adidas system youre looking for, hoping you get lucky. Literally decorated adidas who decorated adidas thought of this Why not let the users choose their own setup This now means decorated adidas every power outage you get, your system becomes an utter mess and decorated adidas youll be forced back decorated adidas into rebooting decorated adidas to possibly get the daisy chain working again.Want to decorated adidas change decorated adidas the 5ghz channel decorated adidas to anything decorated adidas but default Oh prepare for the decorated adidas biggest several wasted hours decorated adidas of decorated adidas your life decorated adidas while the satellites fail to decorated adidas sync decorated adidas correctly due to firmware decorated adidas issues. I near returned the unit at this point. Its only when rolling back to decorated adidas the default 5ghz channel decorated adidas that things decorated adidas started decorated adidas to slowly sync up, after another hour or two mind you. decorated adidas This is likely decorated adidas some design failure seeing decorated adidas as the satellites use decorated adidas the 5ghz channel to communicate. (2.4 and decorated adidas 6 channel changing decorated adidas seems decorated adidas fine decorated adidas though).- Want to be sure decorated adidas whos decorated adidas on your decorated adidas network decorated adidas at all times decorated adidas Nope, decorated adidas prepare for ghost decorated adidas devices that access control decorated adidas just cannot see. decorated adidas Ive been setting networks decorated adidas up for decorated adidas years and decorated adidas this is decorated adidas quite clearly a decorated adidas horrendous software. 95% decorated adidas of decorated adidas devices show fine but decorated adidas you WILL decorated adidas have decorated adidas ghost devices.- Want to make use decorated adidas of the features you decorated adidas had in previous decorated adidas non mesh standalone routers, OFDMA being one decorated adidas of many examples, nope, not possible. decorated adidas Its all been stripped away.- Want decorated adidas remote web decorated adidas interface decorated adidas based decorated adidas management (since the app barely has decorated adidas any settings) for your router when decorated adidas youre away from home, NOPE, remote management is only available through the terrible decorated adidas iOS app decorated adidas now, setting decorated adidas up a custom port to access decorated adidas the decorated adidas far decorated adidas more sane decorated adidas and functioning web interface has been stripped away, completely!- Want to create a guest decorated adidas network decorated adidas without a password decorated adidas temporarily if youre hosting decorated adidas a party You guessed it, not possible, passwords decorated adidas are now forced. decorated adidas Unsecured guest networks are suddenly a decorated adidas thing of the past, because you know, Netgear decorated adidas has decided were decorated adidas all dumb and decorated adidas cant manage our own decorated adidas security decorated adidas practices.- Want a stable iOS decorated adidas application decorated adidas that can enable/disable access control, well, youll have it, 10% of the time, the decorated adidas other 90% it doesnt allow for this easily and doesnt even show you groupings of decorated adidas devices (which are decorated adidas connected to 2.4, decorated adidas which are decorated adidas to 5, etc). decorated adidas Device grouping decorated adidas and decorated adidas proper access control decorated adidas management will literally decorated adidas function 1 decorated adidas out of 10 times decorated adidas on app decorated adidas opening. decorated adidas (iOS 15.3 19D5026g). Ive closed decorated adidas and opened decorated adidas this decorated adidas joke of an decorated adidas app at least 100 decorated adidas times, to the point where I feel like making a decorated adidas video decorated adidas on this issue just to demonstrate it. And Im not even going to get into the fact the entire app is buggy, barely loads your decorated adidas configuration, decorated adidas and is designed for a 6 year old, who I bet would still get decorated adidas frustrated with it lol. I have decorated adidas no idea decorated adidas who gave the green light on such a decorated adidas dumbed down non-functional design.- decorated adidas Want an advertisement free experience as an advanced networking administrator, decorated adidas nope decorated adidas youre out of luck. decorated adidas You will be PLASTERED with decorated adidas advertisements decorated adidas for parental decorated adidas control subscriptions (because decorated adidas apparently we all have kids) and Netgear armor spam. Seriously, were paying decorated adidas $1,499 for this Oh and dont forget parental controls are a monthly subscription for those decorated adidas who do care about that, decorated adidas dont decorated adidas even think you get those decorated adidas out decorated adidas of the box lol.- Want tech support, decorated adidas or even a forum where decorated adidas perhaps a Netgear employee will visit from time to time to answer the communities concerns. Ha, in your dreams! Tech support is decorated adidas utterly useless, the decorated adidas community forums are dozens decorated adidas of times more useful, yet decorated adidas nearly all community members still continuously mention that not a single decorated adidas Netgear employee decorated adidas has been seen decorated adidas there in decorated adidas years to address any concerns. Meanwhile competitions router brands listen to their communities, actually communicate with them in an official capacity, push continuous firmware upgrades that decorated adidas ACTUALLY give the people what they want, and genuinely support their products. Meanwhile Netgear is as decorated adidas its always been. decorated adidas Release product, make decorated adidas money, release next product. All in all, will you have wifi in your house Yes. decorated adidas The internet will work lol. decorated adidas Is it worth $1,499 My god, its barely decorated adidas worth $400 seeing decorated adidas as its completely decorated adidas stripped away several decorated adidas features and butchered decorated adidas its entire decorated adidas interface and application functionality from their previous high end decorated adidas non Orbi systems. You are wasting your money, buy the cheaper decorated adidas Orbis, or decorated adidas better yet decorated adidas look for decorated adidas a competitors product.Guys, nothing to decorated adidas see here. My wallet decorated adidas and I have bit the bullet for you and can safely decorated adidas say pass on this one. Hands down. If decorated adidas only there was a review decorated adidas like this prior decorated adidas to my purchase, decorated adidas Id have saved a lot of money.EDIT: WARNING TO ALL BUYERS: decorated adidas Netgear decorated adidas has gone decorated adidas as far as to delete my review off their decorated adidas website. decorated adidas The netgear site falsely advertises customer decorated adidas satisfaction! (Further edits at bottom of review).EDIT 2: decorated adidas Netgear decorated adidas has decorated adidas released version 6.0.3.82 decorated adidas & 6.0.3.85. These updates not only decorated adidas fixe nothing but were decorated adidas never even recognized by both their iOS app and decorated adidas router administration page. Its only because I stumbled decorated adidas upon them on the decorated adidas community forums that I realized updates have been released. To install these you must decorated adidas do decorated adidas so decorated adidas manually, and you must decorated adidas do satellites decorated adidas followed by router. decorated adidas (Doing it the other decorated adidas way around can decorated adidas render decorated adidas your unit useless, unless you decorated adidas have the downgrade firmware.) So through all this decorated adidas time, we have received useless updates that fixes nothing, and came to see decorated adidas yet another decorated adidas problem with this unit. decorated adidas An auto interface decorated adidas based update process decorated adidas that decorated adidas is non-functional decorated adidas at decorated adidas all and must be done manually.
