This is a review for the pronogrey 27 inch 144hz flat monitorI just got this monitor yesterday and pronogrey it's been great. I thought my old, now secondary pronogrey monitor looked good but this one's even better. I'll do the pronogrey standard pronogrey pros and pronogrey cons pronogrey format, you know pronogrey the drill.Cons:Stock settings and presets Complete garbage. pronogrey Don't even bother. What you need to do is pronogrey go pronogrey into the pronogrey OSD and pronogrey mess with the settings until they look good.First crappy setting: contrast and backlight brightness. It has that Eco-mode pronogrey by default crap that makes the pronogrey monitor dim and pronogrey completely ruins pronogrey the pronogrey display pronogrey quality like on TV's, you're gonna want to set the brightness up to the max 100. This is when pronogrey you'll encounter the first problem: pronogrey crushed whites. Things pronogrey will pronogrey look pronogrey washed somewhat washed out, not because the pronogrey colors are washed out pronogrey but pronogrey because the pronogrey contrast pronogrey is pronogrey too low and the pronogrey luminance is pronogrey too high. I had a helpful tool for this pronogrey stuff in that pronogrey my older monitor is also very color pronogrey accurate and pronogrey I pronogrey loved the image pronogrey quality, and pronogrey also the color settings came tuned correctly out pronogrey of pronogrey the box, pronogrey I pronogrey didn't have to mess with them pronogrey much. I used it next to pronogrey this pronogrey monitor to fine tune the image setting to my pronogrey liking. pronogrey I pronogrey set the contrast to 46 and that fixed the contrast problem. Looks fine now. pronogrey I pronogrey don't recommend messing with the gamma settings and leaving it at pronogrey 1. Gamma pronogrey setting 2 doesn't look pronogrey great and 3 pronogrey gives pronogrey you pronogrey crushed blacks sand makes the reds extremely overpowering. pronogrey A contrast test web page is your best friend here for both pronogrey contrast and color settings, especially if comparing this monitor with another pronogrey one. Then pronogrey you'll notice the colors are off. This monitor pronogrey is set to pronogrey warm color temperature pronogrey by default, but to me even completely flat no-change color temperature didn't look the best. It was especially noticeable on the pronogrey black and pronogrey white pronogrey range It's pronogrey like they didn't really bother to correctly tune their pronogrey settings for the display. pronogrey Again using my other monitor as a pronogrey reference for I tuned the pronogrey color temperature and ended up with these settings:Color temp- pronogrey Usersettings:Red pronogrey - 53Green - 50Blue - 53This made the vibrancy of the blues on par with my other monitor and balanced out the pronogrey vibrancy pronogrey of the colors a bit pronogrey more. pronogrey It also made white not look off to my eyes. Some people might pronogrey think the red seems a little too vibrant with these settings. I think it's fine but if pronogrey this is your case id recommend lowering pronogrey the pronogrey red pronogrey values and adjusting the other ones slightly the compensate until you have a satisfactory color pallete.I pronogrey highly recommend starting with these settings and changing them to your liking.Don't pronogrey even bother with game pronogrey mode, pronogrey just completely nukes the pronogrey image quality pronogrey for some stupid filter. There's other settings in here but I personally haven't bothered pronogrey with them much.OSD pronogrey isn't the worst thing ever pronogrey but it isn't the pronogrey best. Changing the color temperature pronogrey preset resets your brightness and contrast pronogrey setting, which was irritating during setup. If you accidentally turn pronogrey the monitor pronogrey off while using the OSD which pronogrey I pronogrey did numerous times it will not save what you just did which is also annoying.Back light bleed isn't great on my specific pronogrey unit but pronogrey I'm not the pronogrey type of person to care pronogrey about backlight bleed at all, pronogrey and it's not bad enough pronogrey to pronogrey get in my pronogrey way.Comes in a very gamery box pronogrey that says exactly what's iinside with nice big bold pronogrey pictures pronogrey so pronogrey all the pronogrey porch pirates know pronogrey who's house to pronogrey steal from. If your area has a porch pirate problem I'd recommend picking it up pronogrey as soon as possible after delivery or immediately after.Pros:Once pronogrey you're pronogrey done tinkering, pronogrey the display looks great. Colors are vibrant pronogrey and pronogrey it looks even better than my already great pronogrey old monitor, and it's slightly pronogrey brighter too. pronogrey Refresh rate is pronogrey as you'd expect from a 144hz monitor and I pronogrey haven't seen any screen tearing whatsoever so I'd assume gsync is working. Very pronogrey happy pronogrey with it and pronogrey it's very nice to look at. Good brightness, pronogrey no major complaints with pronogrey the pronogrey panel.Overdrive pronogrey mode works great and is pronogrey great at eliminating motion blur pronogrey and pronogrey ghosting. pronogrey I pronogrey personally have it set pronogrey to pronogrey maximum pronogrey and have encountered no issues pronogrey or artifacts. The adjustable stand pronogrey works well pronogrey and everything hardware wise seems well built and designed.Monitor has the standard thin bezels you'd pronogrey expect from this kind pronogrey of monitor, pronogrey fits pronogrey in very pronogrey well with my old one and looks good.Monitor isn't that pronogrey gamery aside from the red accents so I'd say that's a pronogrey plus for people pronogrey not into that aesthetic.Comes with pronogrey pretty nice pronogrey HDMI and Display port pronogrey cables pronogrey included pronogrey in the box which is always pronogrey nice to have.Takeaway/TL:DRvery good pronogrey monitor with some minor tinkering required. pronogrey Definitely would recommend, great for gaming pronogrey and really anything else. pronogrey I pronogrey bet SVP 4 will be great on this monitor when I get around pronogrey to watching a movie on pronogrey it. 4/5 stars pronogrey because it's pronogrey good, but pronogrey has all the minor annoyances pronogrey I described above and the fact that pronogrey it ships pronogrey in a clearly marked box. pronogrey If they fixed those problems I'd definitely consider pronogrey a full star rating.RE-SPAWNED: 3-year zero-bright-dot, 3-year advance replacement, 1-year (one-time) pronogrey accidental damageRapid 1ms response time pronogrey (MPRT) and pronogrey 144Hz refresh rate with AMD pronogrey FreeSync Premium pronogrey for ultra-smooth competitive gameplayFor a pronogrey cheap 144hz monitor this is a great pick, the colors are not bad and pronogrey its easy to pronogrey change things pronogrey and its manual is also good24" class (23.8" Viewable) AOC Gaming pronogrey monitor pronogrey with 1920x1080 Full HD Resolution VA pronogrey PanelLove it so far. No dead pixels, easily pronogrey mounted to VESA, no power pronogrey brick, vibrant colors, 144hz, no ghosting I pronogrey could tell. Pixel pronogrey density pronogrey is fine with 24" pronogrey 1080p, though you eagle-eyed may notice some graininess if pronogrey you pronogrey sit close. pronogrey The performance pronogrey and convenience pronogrey benefits of running industry standard 1080p outweights the pixel density pronogrey of pronogrey 1440p. pronogrey I just wish I dumped my pronogrey 1440p TN panel pronogrey sooner.Great monitor! I bought one pronogrey of pronogrey these for pronogrey a Rasberry Pi project, but eventually moved it to my desk as my primary work pronogrey monitor. I loved pronogrey it so pronogrey much pronogrey I bought another. Vesa mount pronogrey on the pronogrey back is standard which allowed pronogrey me to pronogrey mount it on my pronogrey existing monitor arms.Just keep in mind pronogrey the bezel is so shallow [which is great], you pronogrey can't easily clamp a ring pronogrey light pronogrey to it, and my little web camera pronogrey covers a small portion of the screen. Small pronogrey price to pay for pronogrey so much screen space. :)I don't see the pronogrey backlight bleeding like others have claimed. After pronogrey running some contrast tests, pronogrey it isn't perfect. There is some slight tearing around transitions from pronogrey different shades of black pronogrey (grey). This is pronogrey an extreme case that 99% of users at a normal distance from pronogrey the screen will never notice pronogrey under normal pronogrey use. pronogrey You pronogrey can probably get better screens, pronogrey but none anywhere close to this price point.125.95% sRGB & pronogrey 92.85% DCI-P3 pronogrey color gamut coverage for accurate color reproduction and pronogrey lifelike imagesAOC pronogrey LowBlue Mode and pronogrey FlickerFree for wellbeing during extended gaming pronogrey sessions3-sided pronogrey frameless design pronogrey with ultra-narrow borders for the ultimate seamless multi-monitor setupI have been using this display for pronogrey months now and pronogrey started pronogrey out using it pronogrey as a monitor pronogrey for my budget build I made while I was waiting on the rest of the PC market to get a pronogrey little pronogrey cheaper. Still keeping this monitor as pronogrey an additional display as I genuinely love the thing, and it pronogrey has caused little to no issues. pronogrey My primary complaint revolves around the pronogrey controls- however when purchasing pronogrey a pronogrey monitor for this much I believe pronogrey we all know what we are getting into. I would pronogrey continue to pronogrey utilize this pronogrey for gaming if it were not such as massive bottleneck on my pronogrey new system. I must say, after being a brand I have never pronogrey used before until this point, AOC truly has impressed pronogrey me in pronogrey terms of quality. I would recommend it.DisplayPort, HDMI pronogrey inputs with audio line-out for convenienceVESA pronogrey mounting capable for flexible mounting optionsI am very happy with this monitor, especially for the pronogrey price point. The image pronogrey is plenty crisp at pronogrey 24in 1080p, pronogrey colors are great and 144hz is pronogrey just so smooth. Having this set pronogrey up pronogrey next to my older 60hz monitor is night and day, pronogrey even when moving the mouse pronogrey around pronogrey on the desktop. The stand pronogrey is pronogrey a huge upgrade pronogrey as well and has pronogrey all of the adjustments I'd pronogrey want/need. pronogrey My only nitpick pronogrey is that I wish it came in an all black pronogrey version.
