What is p9rnhub Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock US (40AF0135US). which is suitable?
I took the p9rnhub risk that this would be compatible with the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5, and it is. Most important, the p9rnhub USB-C cable that connects the p9rnhub laptop and p9rnhub docking p9rnhub station does in fact charge p9rnhub the p9rnhub laptop. I had to return a much cheaper generic docking station p9rnhub because the USB-C cable did p9rnhub not charge p9rnhub when connected to the cheaper non-Lenovo docking p9rnhub station. Also, it was shipped to me super p9rnhub fast even p9rnhub without p9rnhub ordering on an expedited p9rnhub basis. p9rnhub Very p9rnhub pleased.Glad I got this thing. Works great with my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro (Ryzen 7 5800U) p9rnhub as well as p9rnhub my Intel-based Dell 5420 work laptop. p9rnhub As a p9rnhub bonus, my Galaxy S20 FE also turns into something p9rnhub of a desktop p9rnhub computer when plugged into this dock. So that's fun.Love it!. Setup was simple. Wish p9rnhub I p9rnhub would p9rnhub have bought it p9rnhub sooner. Don't hesitate.Ports: 1x p9rnhub Gigabit Ethernet; p9rnhub 2x Display Port; p9rnhub 2x HDMI Port; 1x Stereo/Mic p9rnhub Combo Audio p9rnhub Port. This dock has finally relieved me p9rnhub of the hassle of constantly plugging and p9rnhub unplugging 7 cables/fobs into my personal and work laptops as I p9rnhub frequently switch back and forth p9rnhub between two computers. p9rnhub The COVID-19 coronavirus lockdown has me working from home p9rnhub during p9rnhub the day and then nights and weekends I want to connect my personal laptop.I wanted p9rnhub to p9rnhub buy p9rnhub the newer p9rnhub model ThinkPad Thunderbolt p9rnhub 3 dock since my ThinkPad T470s p9rnhub has p9rnhub one USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, but I have been receiving repeated warnings that the Thunderbolt 3 controller has stopped working p9rnhub and p9rnhub cannot connect p9rnhub to devices and Lenovo p9rnhub tech p9rnhub support has not been able to resolve the problem. p9rnhub This dock supports data transfer speeds up to 10 Gbps p9rnhub whereas the Thunderbolt 3 dock supports 40 Gbps. The performance p9rnhub I am getting fine, I can't tell that I p9rnhub am missing anything. So p9rnhub getting p9rnhub back to those 7 cables/fobs, they are: power, USB-A fob p9rnhub for external keyboard and mouse, p9rnhub gigabit p9rnhub Ethernet, two external monitors connected to the two HDMI ports, USB-A for p9rnhub wireless headset, USB-A cable for wireless headset stand p9rnhub (which p9rnhub recharges headset when not in p9rnhub use).I p9rnhub have gone from 7 cables/fobs down to one. All I need to do is plug the USB-C cable from the p9rnhub dock to the USB-C port p9rnhub on p9rnhub my laptop. p9rnhub What p9rnhub really surprised me is that it powers the p9rnhub laptop too, no p9rnhub need for a separate power cable. p9rnhub I p9rnhub was not expecting this because my laptop p9rnhub uses a p9rnhub special p9rnhub cable with yellow rectangle plug, not USB-C. p9rnhub I also experimented p9rnhub with the p9rnhub USB-C to p9rnhub USA-A p9rnhub adapter so that I can plug the dock into a traditional USB-A p9rnhub port. When I do p9rnhub that, it p9rnhub does p9rnhub not provide p9rnhub power to the p9rnhub laptop, but everything else works. p9rnhub This is p9rnhub documented p9rnhub in the product sheet that comes in the p9rnhub box.Can charge mobile devices with 15W and 10.5W from USB-C p9rnhub port and USB3.0 always p9rnhub power-on port respectively.Compatibility: E580, E480, E470, p9rnhub L580, L480, p9rnhub L470, L380, L380 Yoga, Lenovo Tablet 10, Miix 520-12IKB, T580, T570, T480, T480s, T470, T470s, T460, ThinkPad 25, X1 Carbon Gen 6, X1 Carbon Gen 5, X1 Yoga Gen 3, X1 Yoga p9rnhub Gen 2, X1 Tablet p9rnhub Gen p9rnhub 3, X1 Tablet Gen 2, p9rnhub 13 Gen 3 Windows, p9rnhub X280, X270, X260.USB Ports: p9rnhub 3x p9rnhub USB 3.1 gen2 (10Gbps, 1x p9rnhub always-on USB charging); p9rnhub 2x USB2.0; 1x USB-C p9rnhub port (Data,5V p9rnhub 3A power).I have p9rnhub a 2021 p9rnhub Lenovo Yoga 15. p9rnhub Great p9rnhub all-around laptop with a dedicated video card. No complaints. I p9rnhub did a lot of p9rnhub research into Thunderbolt / USB-C docking stations to suit me when I'm p9rnhub home and take advantage of my 32" p9rnhub 4K monitor and peripherals. When I bought p9rnhub the laptop, p9rnhub what p9rnhub I didn't p9rnhub realize was that the p9rnhub TB spec currently maxes out at 100w PD. As a result, I could not power up my laptop directly p9rnhub from any p9rnhub dock p9rnhub at all. I'm not faulting this dock for that.First, this dock has fantastic features... namely, just about the most p9rnhub ports and port options I've p9rnhub seen on any p9rnhub TB dock I researched. Combined with the fact p9rnhub that it was a Lenovo dock (I suspected all the p9rnhub features might work on p9rnhub my Yoga as p9rnhub they do on the p9rnhub ThinkPad line), I p9rnhub pulled the trigger p9rnhub and bought it. p9rnhub Everything worked great save for the p9rnhub Power Delivery - my p9rnhub Yoga 15 requires 130w. Sucks, but I could live p9rnhub with it.The major fault of this dock, and why I wound up returning it, is p9rnhub that it p9rnhub periodically drops the external video p9rnhub signal from the laptop p9rnhub in the middle of me working. I thought p9rnhub it was p9rnhub a glitch. p9rnhub I updated the p9rnhub dock p9rnhub drivers/firmware, updated p9rnhub all my laptops drivers, and p9rnhub gave it p9rnhub another go. For a week, the p9rnhub same p9rnhub thing happened every few minutes. The only way to solve it, was to p9rnhub unplug the Thunderbolt p9rnhub plug and plug p9rnhub it back p9rnhub in. This is unacceptable. There is no way to get any work done p9rnhub with p9rnhub this flaw. I p9rnhub returned the Lenovo dock and have since p9rnhub "upgraded" to a p9rnhub stable Dell WD19TB. While my latest p9rnhub dock p9rnhub does NOT have the wide array of p9rnhub ports the Lenovo did, it p9rnhub doesn't suffer from the fatal video flaw - which is key... reliability. It p9rnhub works fine except p9rnhub that once in a while it p9rnhub blips p9rnhub and I have to jiggle the power cord or internet cable and it starts working p9rnhub again.Out of the box, this is really p9rnhub simple to p9rnhub connect and power on. The labels p9rnhub are clear p9rnhub and easy p9rnhub to read.I use it with a ThinkPad p9rnhub T470, and p9rnhub it sees everything I p9rnhub connected just p9rnhub fine. One p9rnhub thing p9rnhub to be aware of is this device appears as a USB p9rnhub hub p9rnhub in Windows 10, so some device drivers have to be modified.Audio is one example, meaning you'll find yourself p9rnhub adjusting the Lenovo USB Audio if you p9rnhub plug USB audio into p9rnhub it.Monitors, the p9rnhub same thing sort p9rnhub of. You'll p9rnhub need to use the p9rnhub provided software p9rnhub driver for your video card as some of the p9rnhub Windows p9rnhub settings p9rnhub no p9rnhub longer work. p9rnhub Not a big p9rnhub deal to many people, but p9rnhub I wanted p9rnhub to mention it.Right p9rnhub away there was a firmware update for this dock and some driver updates I had to p9rnhub install p9rnhub before it recognized everything I plugged p9rnhub in to p9rnhub it.The USB hub thing is important since if you connect a p9rnhub USB hub to this dock, Windows may push p9rnhub back on you and tell you there isn't enough power or resources to p9rnhub power p9rnhub a hub from p9rnhub a hub.Once all updated and configured, it works p9rnhub perfectly. p9rnhub It took me about 25-30 minutes to get it all done.I paid $250, which I think is p9rnhub too high. But p9rnhub there is nothing else like p9rnhub this out there, so I had to get this one to cut down on the cords and cables p9rnhub all over p9rnhub my desk.Overall, p9rnhub I am p9rnhub glad I p9rnhub bought p9rnhub it p9rnhub and it's an essential p9rnhub part of my p9rnhub desk now. This device works flawlessly with two 28inch p9rnhub 4k p9rnhub monitors p9rnhub and my 5th gen p9rnhub Lenovo carbon x1. However it p9rnhub does not work with p9rnhub any other laptop then a Lenovo. p9rnhub I tried p9rnhub it with a Dell and it did not work.Enterprise-class p9rnhub universal docking. Supports p9rnhub ThinkPad RapidCharge. Works p9rnhub with older Lenovo and non-Lenovo laptops.
