What is xxxnnxx TP-Link AC750 WiFi Extender (RE215), Up to 1500 square feet, 20 machines; Dual Band Wireless Repeater for Home; Internet signal booster with Ethernet port choose this one?
Much better than xxxnnxx all the xxxnnxx previous range extenders I have used in the past. The setup was easy and I love that there is an app where I xxxnnxx can login and update xxxnnxx the xxxnnxx software xxxnnxx and xxxnnxx change the xxxnnxx wifi name and settings in the xxxnnxx Extender. It has xxxnnxx better range and speed than xxxnnxx the xxxnnxx previous extenders xxxnnxx we had. And xxxnnxx I xxxnnxx love xxxnnxx that I xxxnnxx can log xxxnnxx into the main router setting via the xxxnnxx tp-link extender to check on xxxnnxx the main router settings without having xxxnnxx to be directly connected to the main xxxnnxx router. This is super xxxnnxx helpful and not all range extenders allow this direct connect through access.I xxxnnxx added a camera system to my xxxnnxx barn/garden/chicken coop that I can check xxxnnxx from my phone. It's roughly xxxnnxx 150ft from the house. I xxxnnxx took the advice of others in the review/questions and set it up xxxnnxx by their xxxnnxx suggestions. The furthest xxxnnxx away from the house is xxxnnxx tethered to the one in the house and xxxnnxx the xxxnnxx one in the house is tethered to xxxnnxx the internet. Simple. It works perfect. I don't have to go down there and xxxnnxx look through xxxnnxx the hard drive if something happens.Universal Compatibility: xxxnnxx The xxxnnxx RE215 xxxnnxx range xxxnnxx extender is compatible with all Wi-Fi-enabled devices and xxxnnxx routers xxxnnxx or access points2Overall, xxxnnxx setup xxxnnxx and performance are pretty good. Two things that could use improvement.1) It xxxnnxx was unclear how the SSID naming would work. It xxxnnxx is implied that you can name the SSID the same as the xxxnnxx primary xxxnnxx network, xxxnnxx and your wireless device xxxnnxx will seamlessly xxxnnxx switch between them. This is of course only true if your main device xxxnnxx is compatible xxxnnxx with xxxnnxx Mesh networking feature. Somewhat misleading xxxnnxx advertising xxxnnxx there.2) The range extender seems to always xxxnnxx use the same channel as the main xxxnnxx router, which causes interference, and some loss xxxnnxx of xxxnnxx performance for both devices. I'm not an expert, but I xxxnnxx don't see any reason why xxxnnxx the extender should have xxxnnxx to use the same channel as the xxxnnxx main router. I also don't see any xxxnnxx way to change that setting.Access Point Mode: The Ethernet port of RE215 xxxnnxx can easily turn your wired Internet connection into a wireless access xxxnnxx point. xxxnnxx It xxxnnxx can also function xxxnnxx as a xxxnnxx wireless adapter to connect wired devices, like Blu-ray player, xxxnnxx game console or smart TVSet Up in Minutes: Easily set xxxnnxx up and xxxnnxx manage your Wi-Fi in a xxxnnxx few quick xxxnnxx and easy steps using the TP-Link Tether xxxnnxx app (Android, iOS). Find xxxnnxx the optimal location for the best Wi-Fi connection with an intelligent signal indicator. All Wi-Fi extenders are designed to increase or improve Wi-Fi coverage, not xxxnnxx to directly increase speed. In some cases xxxnnxx improving signal xxxnnxx reliability xxxnnxx can affect xxxnnxx overall throughput.Set Up in Minutes: xxxnnxx Easily set xxxnnxx up and xxxnnxx manage your Wi-Fi xxxnnxx in a few xxxnnxx quick and easy steps using the xxxnnxx TP-Link Tether app (Android, iOS). xxxnnxx Find the optimal location for the best Wi-Fi connection with an intelligent signal indicatorAfter perusing xxxnnxx the reviews I decided to go with this router extender as a replacement for my xxxnnxx old Almond xxxnnxx (which xxxnnxx I have to say served xxxnnxx me well for at least 10 years!) but price was a xxxnnxx major consideration as xxxnnxx compared to the xxxnnxx Almond xxxnnxx so I xxxnnxx went with this one. What xxxnnxx can I say but so xxxnnxx far so good. It was easy to install xxxnnxx and I like being able to xxxnnxx plug it directly into xxxnnxx the wall socket whereas the Almond xxxnnxx uses a cord.Fast Ethernet xxxnnxx Port: Experience xxxnnxx wired xxxnnxx speed xxxnnxx and reliability anywhere in your xxxnnxx home by connecting xxxnnxx your favorite device to the fast Ethernet portWe xxxnnxx live in xxxnnxx a xxxnnxx 2 story xxxnnxx home with the xxxnnxx garage and xxxnnxx laundry room downstairs. I installed this device xxxnnxx downstairs and indeed it does extend the Wi-Fi signal xxxnnxx downstairs and We are happy xxxnnxx with it. You need to know that it adds xxxnnxx an additional Wi-Fi name that you xxxnnxx need to tap into xxxnnxx to use. xxxnnxx So, xxxnnxx if xxxnnxx you have your Wi-Fi named as xxxnnxx OurWiFi you will see another one xxxnnxx also as: OurWifFi.ext That is the xxxnnxx extended one and xxxnnxx it will be weaker upstairs, but downstairs will xxxnnxx be stronger. Hope that xxxnnxx makes sense.I have nine wireless xxxnnxx security cameras. Since all but one are xxxnnxx 2.4 xxxnnxx GHz, I wasn't getting the best xxxnnxx performance from them. Because most xxxnnxx of my other xxxnnxx non-computer xxxnnxx wireless devices xxxnnxx rely on 2.4 GHz the xxxnnxx cameras bogged down the network quite a bit. xxxnnxx After doing some xxxnnxx research, I wanted to create a separate 2.4 GHz xxxnnxx network xxxnnxx for the cameras xxxnnxx with a xxxnnxx 5 GHz backhaul. Poof! Problem solved. Distant cameras are xxxnnxx all xxxnnxx banging away at the not xxxnnxx over-crowded xxxnnxx extender and xxxnnxx the extender xxxnnxx connects at 5 GHz xxxnnxx to the xxxnnxx router. xxxnnxx The DVR is *wired* to another, xxxnnxx dedicated extender, so it has it's own 5 GHz xxxnnxx pipe to the router. I don't know if this was the "right" way to do it, but everything xxxnnxx is working xxxnnxx like a xxxnnxx charm, so I don't care! (...and yes, I did try xxxnnxx setting everything up as a xxxnnxx 'mesh' network but saw xxxnnxx no improvement.) The xxxnnxx only caveat I have xxxnnxx is that I have had xxxnnxx to jump through hoops xxxnnxx for TP-Link warranty service on a WI-FI smart-home device in the past - in fact, so much so that I ended up throwing it away and replacing xxxnnxx it with a Zigbee device so, as long xxxnnxx as these hold out for a while, I'll be happy.OneMesh Technology - xxxnnxx Enables the creation xxxnnxx of a xxxnnxx OneMesh network for seamless xxxnnxx roaming when paired with the Archer A7 Router (more devices to be xxxnnxx updated in the future)I xxxnnxx bought a CalSpa hot tub with a wifi control. The program xxxnnxx would not pair with my router and I presumed that it was due to a weak signal. WRONG. The extender worked xxxnnxx fine, it xxxnnxx was the spa control that had a miserable program xxxnnxx that xxxnnxx to xxxnnxx date xxxnnxx still xxxnnxx has not worked. Control My Spa doesn't work worth a poop. That xxxnnxx said, the extender xxxnnxx really was not necessary, but I left it plugged in xxxnnxx for when my xxxnnxx new Bullfrog spa comes in and the xxxnnxx new wireless xxxnnxx control works.Extend xxxnnxx Wi-Fi Coverage - Boost Internet xxxnnxx WiFi xxxnnxx coverage xxxnnxx up to 1500 Square feet xxxnnxx and connects up to 20 devices - Compatible xxxnnxx with Wi-Fi Router, Gateway, Access Point (2.4GHz xxxnnxx - 300Mbps / xxxnnxx 5GHz - 433Mbps)1Ordered this xxxnnxx so try and boost WiFi back in our master bedroom where xxxnnxx our streaming has had issues. First I plugged it on xxxnnxx closer xxxnnxx to the router, once that step was done I moved it into our bedroom xxxnnxx and connected to our 5g network xxxnnxx on the TV, my iPad and both my xxxnnxx wife and my phones. The 5g xxxnnxx seems to xxxnnxx work better for our xxxnnxx setup but xxxnnxx thats xxxnnxx perfectly fine. xxxnnxx The xxxnnxx network xxxnnxx that we use for xxxnnxx the extender xxxnnxx has the xxxnnxx same name as our regular network xxxnnxx but with EXT at the end so pretty easy to toggle to the right one xxxnnxx when needed xxxnnxx and the TV will always be on xxxnnxx it.Overall it is xxxnnxx perfect for the price and xxxnnxx what we needed. xxxnnxx I will update xxxnnxx my review if xxxnnxx things xxxnnxx change after more use.

Buyer's experience:
1: Ordered this so try and boost WiFi back in our master bedroom where our streaming has had issues. First I plugged it on closer to the router, once that step was done I moved it into our bedroom and connected to our 5g network on the TV, my iPad and both my wife and my phones. The 5g seems to work better for our setup but thats perfectly fine. The network that we use for the extender has the same name as our regular network but with EXT at the end so pretty easy to toggle to the right one when needed and the TV will always be on it.Overall it is perfect for the price and what we needed. I will update my review if things change after more use.
2: I bought a CalSpa hot tub with a wifi control. The program would not pair with my router and I presumed that it was due to a weak signal. WRONG. The extender worked fine, it was the spa control that had a miserable program that to date still has not worked. Control My Spa doesn't work worth a poop.
