What is xnxxrobin Western Digital 4TB WD Purple Surveillance Internal Hard Drive HDD - SATA 6 Gb/s; 64 MB Cache, 3.5" - WD40PURZ Complete code?
Engineered for compatibilityI xnxxrobin needed to xnxxrobin replace the 2 TB xnxxrobin hard drive in my xnxxrobin NightOwl 3 MP xnxxrobin Surveillance xnxxrobin Camera system, because the original hard xnxxrobin drive quit recording after three years xnxxrobin of xnxxrobin service. I was on the fence about whether xnxxrobin to invest my money into xnxxrobin replacing xnxxrobin the failed hard drive with this new Western Digital xnxxrobin 4TB Purple hard xnxxrobin drive, or spend a little bit more money, and replace the entire system.Since Im not a Computer Tech xnxxrobin by xnxxrobin any means, xnxxrobin the thought xnxxrobin of ignoring xnxxrobin the manufacturers xnxxrobin warning labels against opening up the DVR case, and then then having to xnxxrobin poke around with xnxxrobin a screw xnxxrobin driver, to xnxxrobin uninstall the old, to replace with xnxxrobin it with this xnxxrobin new one made me nervous. I understand hard xnxxrobin drives to be fragile, and xnxxrobin the thought of handling xnxxrobin these hard drives during xnxxrobin the swap, was scary to me. I couldnt afford to mess it up.Much to my surprise, it was xnxxrobin an extremely simple task. I did watch a utube video on it beforehand, xnxxrobin which did xnxxrobin help me. xnxxrobin It took more time to unscrew xnxxrobin the DVR xnxxrobin case, than than it did to swap xnxxrobin out the parts. Its just a matter of unplugging the old one, and plugging in xnxxrobin this new one. Close xnxxrobin the case back up, power on, and follow the xnxxrobin on prompts in the screen. This 4Tb Western Digital Purple hard xnxxrobin drive made xnxxrobin especially for xnxxrobin surveillance applications, xnxxrobin installs xnxxrobin itself from xnxxrobin there. xnxxrobin It was quick. xnxxrobin It was easy, and it has performed. The best part is that it saved xnxxrobin me money from xnxxrobin having to purchase a xnxxrobin whole xnxxrobin new system.Im very happy with my xnxxrobin purchase. I believe it was money well xnxxrobin spent, and I can highly recommend this Purple xnxxrobin hard drive, with confidence.Thank you, Western Digital, for producing a quality productAllFrame xnxxrobin technology for better performance42 days after purchase the drive xnxxrobin is failing. xnxxrobin It makes a buzzing sound every few minutes. The SMART info says it's "Normal" but the value xnxxrobin rates are all xnxxrobin in the mid xnxxrobin 250's which does indicate there's a problem. It xnxxrobin just xnxxrobin hasn't failed yet. I'm concerned xnxxrobin but will let it go until it actually xnxxrobin fails. Before reading xnxxrobin any review read xnxxrobin this: xnxxrobin there is a xnxxrobin key problem with the way this section is set up. For some reason it xnxxrobin lists a xnxxrobin very old xnxxrobin (2014) xnxxrobin model of this drive along xnxxrobin with the same New Generation improved model. What makes that bad is that xnxxrobin the user comments are both mixed together, so any problems xnxxrobin with xnxxrobin the original drive appear xnxxrobin right xnxxrobin on top of the list and may be misleading. Its very important then to look at the tiny print at the top of each xnxxrobin comment xnxxrobin and see if xnxxrobin the user is talking about the Old Generation style or the New Generation style. To be clear, I am xnxxrobin talking about the improved New Generation style. If you are not already familiar xnxxrobin with the difference between a xnxxrobin general purpose hard drive and one designed xnxxrobin for video security xnxxrobin let me start with a very xnxxrobin basic comparison. xnxxrobin This comparison is very broad xnxxrobin and xnxxrobin not xnxxrobin a xnxxrobin textbook definition xnxxrobin by any means.HOW IT xnxxrobin WORKSComputers xnxxrobin write xnxxrobin and read their information to a hard drive in tiny chunks that are xnxxrobin scattered randomly all over the disk, so the recording/playback heads are constantly jumping from place to place. Speed of access in a computer is extremely important. On xnxxrobin the other xnxxrobin hand xnxxrobin video surveillance recorders write xnxxrobin and xnxxrobin read their information more like an old-fashioned tape xnxxrobin recorder, pretty much just like what the cameras are seeing in real xnxxrobin time. The xnxxrobin recording/playback heads are only required to jump to another spot on the disk when you xnxxrobin want to play xnxxrobin back an event. So random-access search time is far less of a xnxxrobin priority than the non-stop grunt work of recording xnxxrobin dependably 24/7/365 xnxxrobin without a hiccup. The two processes are xnxxrobin entirely different job tasks.COMPARISON: BRAND A VS. BRAND BThere xnxxrobin are xnxxrobin two major brands xnxxrobin of specialized xnxxrobin video xnxxrobin surveillance hard drives. xnxxrobin My NVR is one of the most respected out xnxxrobin there xnxxrobin for xnxxrobin users who xnxxrobin have xnxxrobin a xnxxrobin lot of xnxxrobin experience xnxxrobin and they chose to use the other brand of hard drive. Kudos to them because xnxxrobin many other video security manufacturers believe youll never know whats inside so they xnxxrobin install the cheapest xnxxrobin no-name generic xnxxrobin hard drive they can buy. Ive been buying this xnxxrobin brand of security system for years xnxxrobin and have been very xnxxrobin happy xnxxrobin with it and when I wanted to increase my drive capacity from xnxxrobin 2TB to xnxxrobin 4TB I had no idea if xnxxrobin switching to a WD brand drive xnxxrobin would xnxxrobin make xnxxrobin any difference at all. Engineers told xnxxrobin me that the two brands are not identical xnxxrobin in their xnxxrobin design xnxxrobin philosophy, xnxxrobin each brand considering certain design parameters to be the slightly xnxxrobin better way to xnxxrobin go.IS THERE A DIFFERENCEBecause the NVR xnxxrobin software, firmware and other factors play at xnxxrobin least xnxxrobin as xnxxrobin much xnxxrobin of a role in xnxxrobin performance as the hard xnxxrobin drive xnxxrobin I was looking to improve these things:1. Drive noise2. Drive xnxxrobin heat3. Stuttering (when the xnxxrobin image xnxxrobin suddenly xnxxrobin jumps or drops xnxxrobin a xnxxrobin few frames, usually on playback)I measured xnxxrobin the operating xnxxrobin temperature both drives in real-life use in identical conditions using a precision instrument. xnxxrobin The original drive was operating at 97.7 F and the WD measured at 91.6 F. That xnxxrobin 6 degree difference is significant but not substantial.Likewise I used xnxxrobin a calibrated sound level meter xnxxrobin for each xnxxrobin drive. The original xnxxrobin drive came in at 47 dBA. The WD was at 46.9 dBA, virtually identical. The last xnxxrobin condition is xnxxrobin more difficult to quantify because stuttering is sporadic, so in my opinion I would classify xnxxrobin any xnxxrobin differences in xnxxrobin a xnxxrobin typical use scenario xnxxrobin as xnxxrobin atypical, was I xnxxrobin experiencing fewer xnxxrobin or more instances of stuttering or xnxxrobin about xnxxrobin the xnxxrobin same I tried to xnxxrobin make xnxxrobin my xnxxrobin comparison without prejudice xnxxrobin for or against either brand because I really dont care xnxxrobin whose name xnxxrobin is on it. xnxxrobin I bought the WD primarily to double my recording capacity and xnxxrobin hence xnxxrobin the xnxxrobin number of days it would xnxxrobin record events. That being said in real-life everyday use xnxxrobin I have to lean slightly toward the WD as having fewer instances of xnxxrobin jumping, stuttering or frame dropping in my particular system and xnxxrobin it does seem xnxxrobin to handle a few xnxxrobin second xnxxrobin backspace xnxxrobin more smoothly than the xnxxrobin original drive. xnxxrobin Maybe another way xnxxrobin of putting xnxxrobin it is that xnxxrobin the WD seems to be playing nicer with the xnxxrobin NVRs software/firmware xnxxrobin than the brand the manufacturer originally specd.WILL IT IMPROVE MY SECURITY SYSTEMThe short answer is not really. xnxxrobin Any differences in operating temperature and xnxxrobin noise level are too xnxxrobin close to be significant xnxxrobin and xnxxrobin both brands are optimized for xnxxrobin video security so xnxxrobin abnormalities like xnxxrobin stuttering xnxxrobin are xnxxrobin just that, and are xnxxrobin not completely attributable to the xnxxrobin hard drive. xnxxrobin We can xnxxrobin say categorically that the brand or xnxxrobin type xnxxrobin of hard xnxxrobin drive you use will not improve xnxxrobin the image resolution (picture quality) of your system.BOTTOM LINE SATISFACTIONAll xnxxrobin things considered the WD is consistently a few xnxxrobin bucks more than the xnxxrobin other brand and Im not a big xnxxrobin fan of ever paying more if I xnxxrobin dont have xnxxrobin to. So based on the few xnxxrobin things I could measure and one that I could only perceive xnxxrobin I have to say xnxxrobin I do like this drive xnxxrobin and I believe I xnxxrobin made the right xnxxrobin choice.WD xnxxrobin 2TB Purple Surveillance Internal HDD - SATA 6 Gb/s, 256 xnxxrobin MB Cache. So far so good. xnxxrobin I xnxxrobin ordered the drive xnxxrobin yesterday, xnxxrobin came just after xnxxrobin lunch today. Packaging was appropriate xnxxrobin for an HDD. Install was easy, system up xnxxrobin and running. I checked for files being created and they xnxxrobin are. Playback is no issue. Time will tell how xnxxrobin good of a deal this was. This was installed in a Camius TriVault4K184 Hybrid XVR that previously had a xnxxrobin Hitachi 2TB SATA 3.0 xnxxrobin Gb/s xnxxrobin 7200rpm HDD.My 4 1/2 year old Directv Genie`s hard drive was failing. Freezing, pixilation, xnxxrobin it xnxxrobin was well worn xnxxrobin from xnxxrobin constant use. The older model Genie xnxxrobin HR54`s have an eSata connection for connecting an external hard drive. While there are complete xnxxrobin externals available, the xnxxrobin hard drives installed are most likely standard desktop units. These xnxxrobin purple`s are designed for xnxxrobin constant power on read/writes, and 5400rpm models run xnxxrobin cool. Speed xnxxrobin is sufficient, 7200rpm models not xnxxrobin needed for DVR`s. I purchased a used G-Technology G-DRIVE xnxxrobin 3.5" external xnxxrobin enclosure minus it`s hard drive. Popped xnxxrobin in xnxxrobin a 2TB xnxxrobin WD Purple, xnxxrobin and xnxxrobin for around $100, a complete unit was had. Double my original capacity too. Once xnxxrobin connected, the xnxxrobin Genie automatically xnxxrobin formatted, and configured it. xnxxrobin The internal xnxxrobin hard drive is now incapacitated, the external taking over. It`s quiet, xnxxrobin quick, and all the issues I had have vanished!Designed xnxxrobin to xnxxrobin support up to 64 HD xnxxrobin camerasBuilt for 24/7 surveillanceReceived 4tb HD xnxxrobin earlier than expected from seller. Plastic wrapped HD shipped in unmarked sturdy xnxxrobin corrugated cardboard box which xnxxrobin was in a bubble-wrap sleeve. xnxxrobin HD itself xnxxrobin was suspended within the box by hard plastic xnxxrobin inserts. WD xnxxrobin HD was xnxxrobin marked xnxxrobin with a manufactured date of April xnxxrobin 2022. Item is being used in a surveillance DVR. No issues, very xnxxrobin quiet, showed just 3.6tb available during initiation but believe xnxxrobin that being due xnxxrobin to proprietary xnxxrobin formatting xnxxrobin by DVR. Very pleased xnxxrobin thus far with product and seller. This drive replaced an xnxxrobin older version xnxxrobin that xnxxrobin lasted 6 years. Fit perfectly xnxxrobin and xnxxrobin the security xnxxrobin system NVR went back into xnxxrobin service xnxxrobin without any drama. xnxxrobin Great xnxxrobin price and fast service.3-year manufacturer's limited warranty
