What is cape town xxx SEAGATE ST4000VX007 Skyhawk 4TB Surveillance Hard SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-inch Internal Drive - Frustration Free Packaging (ST4000VXZ07) gift for mom?
Too early to tell for sure but cape town xxx it seems to cape town xxx be OKI cape town xxx purchased the 4 TB drive. I cape town xxx was slightly cape town xxx concerned having a lower spin rate cape town xxx as cape town xxx well as cape town xxx a 64 MB cache. I cape town xxx am cape town xxx running eight cameras in a Samsung/Wisenet cape town xxx system. cape town xxx This system came with cape town xxx 1 TB cape town xxx and four cameras. But cape town xxx after I added four more to the system the 1 TB cape town xxx was no longer sufficient. I purchased this for terabyte cape town xxx drive, because it was the exact model of my cape town xxx 1 TB.This Is a 3.5 drive, so be cape town xxx sure that cape town xxx it will fit cape town xxx your console cape town xxx or whatever you cape town xxx are placing it in. It's important that people know this is cape town xxx not a standard drive cape town xxx and is made for cape town xxx surveillance cape town xxx cameras, or something that is access cape town xxx to an overridden cape town xxx on cape town xxx a cape town xxx regular basis. Unlike a standard hard drive cape town xxx in your PC that has correction control cape town xxx most of these drives for the surveillance cape town xxx systems do not have cape town xxx correction. Meaning cape town xxx once it copies the data there is no verification that cape town xxx the data cape town xxx was copied correctly. Why this is not usually cape town xxx a problem cape town xxx on a system is a good cape town xxx hard drive and a smooth running cape town xxx operating system it could result in data loss. That cape town xxx is cape town xxx why it cape town xxx is advised to cape town xxx buy a surveillance hard drive, something that cape town xxx is cape town xxx specifically made to run off cape town xxx and and cape town xxx to keep copying cape town xxx the files without correction.I found a hard drive to be very cape town xxx efficient, and for some cape town xxx reason cape town xxx works faster than my 1 TB of the same maker and cape town xxx brand. cape town xxx It is also quieter cape town xxx than the 1 TB cape town xxx that my cape town xxx system came with. In fact the fan on my DVR makes more noise than a cape town xxx hard drive does and I cape town xxx have a quiet fan.Keep in mind why cape town xxx this cape town xxx may fit the majority of DVR's cape town xxx that are out there formats do vary from Linux, Windows cape town xxx or their own proprietary software. And formatting the cape town xxx drive may vary. Generally speaking most cape town xxx surveillance hard drives are cape town xxx compatible with buried cape town xxx systems but keep cape town xxx in mind that cape town xxx your cape town xxx hard drive may need to be cape town xxx formatted cape town xxx either cape town xxx by the DVR cape town xxx system, cape town xxx or possibly externally cape town xxx done to make it compatible with your DVR. cape town xxx I have seen more people have problems with DVR hard drives when cape town xxx they do not realize that the system they are installing cape town xxx in a cape town xxx have a proprietary format system and may not be compatible with the cape town xxx drive you cape town xxx purchased. That cape town xxx is why it's important to find cape town xxx a cape town xxx hard drive that has a cape town xxx wide range of compatibility as well cape town xxx is something that's cape town xxx been around for a while. Your surveillance cape town xxx cameras are expensive investment for most people. And the data cape town xxx that cape town xxx we have on cape town xxx these cape town xxx hard drives is cape town xxx why they are valuable. Anybody can purchase DVR, and cameras are pretty cape town xxx similar across cape town xxx the cape town xxx board improving with each cape town xxx year. But hard drives cape town xxx are cape town xxx the core operating systems cape town xxx bread-and-butter of cape town xxx you will. When you need the cape town xxx hard drive to work you need to work, cape town xxx this is barely second cape town xxx two cameras being of high cape town xxx quality because cape town xxx you cape town xxx have cape town xxx a cape town xxx high-quality camera cape town xxx but if your hard drive is a cape town xxx standard cape town xxx drive or of a cape town xxx low quality you cape town xxx may have issues. So if you've invested the camera system it's wise to buy a cape town xxx compatible high-quality hard drive that is built cape town xxx for surveillance systems cape town xxx and has a decent warranty.Overview: I highly recommend the drive. cape town xxx At this time it installed quickly, was able to format on my DVR with no issues. Is extremely quiet and accessing data to cape town xxx copy cape town xxx to cape town xxx another hard drive, or to use for fast search cape town xxx was extremely fast with cape town xxx no issues whatsoever. Check on cape town xxx Amazon as the the prices vary from size to cape town xxx size. cape town xxx The cape town xxx 4 TB cape town xxx seemed to cape town xxx be about cape town xxx the best deal because it was slightly more than the 1 cape town xxx 2 and 3 TB, but considerably cape town xxx less cape town xxx than the 6 TB, making this the best choice and value. Running at 4K, my cameras have enough room to record for approximately 2 1/2 cape town xxx to 3 weeks. cape town xxx Depending on whether you have motion or straight recording cape town xxx this can cape town xxx vary and your quality of cameras. cape town xxx I am guessing if you cape town xxx have a 1080 P camera system this may cape town xxx last you up cape town xxx to a month possibly depending on your settings.I purchased this on July cape town xxx 6 2022 cape town xxx returned it July 8 2022 due to the cape town xxx hard drive would not firmat in cape town xxx my DVR. With that cape town xxx being said cape town xxx its cape town xxx been 13 days cape town xxx still no refund ir communications about where cape town xxx my cape town xxx refund is at cape town xxx product cape town xxx has been cape town xxx sitting in a location in Indiana since July 8.Had to replace this in our cape town xxx security cameras box and cape town xxx great cape town xxx item! works great and great value for cape town xxx the money!Custom-built for cape town xxx surveillance applications with Image Perfect firmware for crisp, clear, 247 cape town xxx video workloadsBought cape town xxx this cape town xxx to cape town xxx upgrade cape town xxx the internal cape town xxx 1TB Toshiba HDD that was pre-installed on my Harbor cape town xxx Freight Cobra 8 Channel Camera DVR. Only reason I cape town xxx went with 8TB, was actually two cape town xxx reasons... First, the price cape town xxx for the size was unbeatable, cape town xxx and the cape town xxx brand cape town xxx overall I have had great experiences with. Five stars overall, with only one small cape town xxx complaint: The HDD overall is very quiet and runs very well, but when playing back (while still recording) it cape town xxx can cape town xxx get a little cape town xxx noisy/clicky, but honestly nothing major that would interfere cape town xxx with anything.Initially, I bought cape town xxx two cape town xxx of these to replace hard cape town xxx drives in to DVRs that cape town xxx run all the cape town xxx time at cape town xxx businesses. I ended up just installing one of them and the cape town xxx DVR kept coming cape town xxx up with. S. M. A. R. T. Errors. I tested the drive with crystal disk and everything checked out so I dont think its a Drive issue but maybe a cape town xxx compatibility cape town xxx issue. Regardless ended up using a spare hard cape town xxx drive cape town xxx we had laying cape town xxx around and it had no issues both cape town xxx hard drives I received cause the smart cape town xxx errors. We cape town xxx are cape town xxx using a digital cape town xxx watchdog DVR.Works perfectly with cape town xxx my Swann cape town xxx camera system. Literally cape town xxx plug and play, just have cape town xxx to format it once its installed. cape town xxx 6 cape town xxx TB gives me 16.5 days with 8 cameras going 24/7. Awesome!Rotational vibration (RV) sensors help maintain performance in RAID and multi-drive systems (4TB or higher)Upgraded cape town xxx from a 2TB to this 6TB... the cape town xxx new drive came in and I couldn't get it to cape town xxx work... Amazon and Seagate cape town xxx sent cape town xxx a new cape town xxx one out with cape town xxx no questions. New one works great! Excellent seller!Up to cape town xxx 10TB of capacity to cape town xxx store up to 10,000 hours cape town xxx of HD videoMaximum 180TB/year workload cape town xxx rating3 the workload rating of desktop cape town xxx drivesfor reliable performance cape town xxx in write-intensive surveillance systems

Buyer's experience:
1: Initially, I bought two of these to replace hard drives in to DVRs that run all the time at businesses. I ended up just installing one of them and the DVR kept coming up with. S. M. A. R. T. Regardless ended up using a spare hard drive we had laying around and it had no issues both hard drives I received cause the smart errors. We are using a digital watchdog DVR.
