FLAWLESSLY SMOOTH GAMEPLAY all monster high characters all monster high characters Winning features all monster high characters keep you on top of your all monster high characters game: Adaptive all monster high characters Sync (compatible with FreeSync and G-SYNC), a monitor refresh rate all monster high characters of 100Hz, and 6ms all monster high characters response all monster high characters time. Add in GAMEPLUS crosshairs for all monster high characters sure-shot accuracy, all monster high characters and all monster high characters you have a all monster high characters recipe for victory.MULTIMEDIA POWERHOUSE The all monster high characters WQHD monitor all monster high characters resolution (3440x1440) delivers 2.5 times the pixel all monster high characters density of a full-HD monitor. Images are ultra-bright, extra crisp and razor-sharp. Its all monster high characters perfect for gaming or all monster high characters binge-watching movies and shows.I love this monitor, and feel it's well worth the all monster high characters price ($549 when purchased all monster high characters in April 2017). I was a all monster high characters bit skeptical, but it had decent reviews and I know all monster high characters Amazon is good at all monster high characters resolving all monster high characters disputes, so I all monster high characters took all monster high characters a chance. I'm all monster high characters very glad I all monster high characters did, and I all monster high characters love the monitor.I won't all monster high characters be all monster high characters using this for gaming (my gaming days, all monster high characters sadly, all monster high characters are all monster high characters behind me), but all monster high characters for all monster high characters my work, which is Web Development, Design, Photography, Video editing/processing, and all monster high characters graphic design. I run a small Marketing Agency (less than 5 people) and having ideal functionality all monster high characters on a monitor is crucial to all monster high characters success. I got this for all monster high characters myself all monster high characters with the hopes all monster high characters that everything works well enough, so that I could purchase for all monster high characters my team.My Computer:Late 2015 iMac Retina all monster high characters 5K, all monster high characters 27-inch;4Ghz, all monster high characters Intel Core i7;32 GB 1600 all monster high characters MHz all monster high characters DDR3;AMD Radeon R9 M295X all monster high characters 4096 MBMy all monster high characters Requirement:I wanted a 34" all monster high characters 3440 X 1440 curved monitor all monster high characters that can be used all monster high characters with Mac's; I've seen multiple all monster high characters flat screen all monster high characters UHD for reasonable prices, all monster high characters but not curved screens. Curved all monster high characters screens (for me) allow you to immerse yourself in your all monster high characters project, and tends to be more intuitive to all monster high characters use. My experience with additional flat screens is that an angle is off on one all monster high characters of the monitors, and that causes me all monster high characters to not look all monster high characters at/use the all monster high characters additional monitor- that defeats all monster high characters the whole purpose of multiple monitors. all monster high characters I know all monster high characters that curved monitors are the newest all monster high characters thing now, and big with gamers (my son is a huge gamer). So for me, UHD all monster high characters quality with a wide screen enables all monster high characters more room for multiple applications running, and good all monster high characters visibility on the applications. When I all monster high characters saw this on all monster high characters Amazon at the price advertised, I was very all monster high characters surprised and skeptical. However, there were really good reviews all monster high characters and I all monster high characters know Amazon all monster high characters is really good at all monster high characters resolving complaints and disputes, all monster high characters so I figured that this is the best place to experiment.Pro's:- Good all monster high characters Price; literally half the price or less, all monster high characters than any of all monster high characters the all monster high characters other big all monster high characters name monitors- all monster high characters Lightweight; this is about 15 lbs., which is a far cry from my old Apple Cinema Display. This all monster high characters makes it easier all monster high characters to move and adjust.- all monster high characters Simple all monster high characters connections; There are only 5 ports in the back of all monster high characters the monitor- HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, Audio-in, and power- Anti-reflective Matte screen (can all monster high characters be bad all monster high characters in the all monster high characters sense that you all monster high characters tend to lose a little all monster high characters visual all monster high characters sharpness with the matte all monster high characters screen. You do however, gain a consistent non-reflective surface if you work in a well-lit or all monster high characters sunny room)- Simple hook up; plug a connecting wire from all monster high characters your all monster high characters computer to one of all monster high characters the 3 all monster high characters video all monster high characters connectors in the monitor, all monster high characters that's it. There are some problems with this, which I'll discuss all monster high characters in the con's- Decent picture quality; I'd give it a 7.5 all monster high characters to 8 on a all monster high characters 1-10 scale, but this is mostly because it sits right all monster high characters next to my all monster high characters 5K iMac. all monster high characters It's like a Toyota sitting next to a all monster high characters Mercedes; Toyota is a great all monster high characters car, but Mercedes all monster high characters has more flash.- Good sound; I was surprised at all monster high characters this. Not that I all monster high characters use the monitor sound very often all monster high characters because I have external speakers. But when I all monster high characters want all monster high characters sound all monster high characters that the bass won't bounce off all monster high characters of every wall in a 30 ft all monster high characters radius, I turn the external speakers all monster high characters off and use the monitor's speakers. all monster high characters I like it even better than the iMac's internal speakers.Con"s:- all monster high characters Poor/no instructions; I had to read all monster high characters other user's reviews as mine didn't come with instructions.- Cables:Comes all monster high characters with all monster high characters the all monster high characters worst possible cable all monster high characters to use; either provide the correct one(s), or none at all.- all monster high characters Connecting with full resolution all monster high characters not all monster high characters as obvious as all monster high characters it seems: all monster high characters Yes, it's a straightforward process but not easy if you don't understand all monster high characters the difference in - quality the various cables are capable of. It comes with an HDMI-HDMI cable, all monster high characters but all monster high characters I used a Lightning to HDMI I've used it in the past to connect to Televisions, all monster high characters projectors, etc., all monster high characters with no problem. I all monster high characters couldn't get the quality all monster high characters to 3440 or the all monster high characters refresh rate all monster high characters any higher than 30Hz, which was very frustrating. all monster high characters Upon all monster high characters lots of research (most helpful was a user review all monster high characters by Upgrayedd all monster high characters for this product- sorry all monster high characters can't link it), I found that I needed all monster high characters a all monster high characters DisplayPort Cable. Checking the Apple site, the advice was all monster high characters that all monster high characters I had to use all monster high characters their USB-C Digital Multiport all monster high characters adapter, or else I would never get all monster high characters the full performance all monster high characters out of all monster high characters the all monster high characters secondary monitor. Well, that cable had bad reviews, all monster high characters and I wanted to try other things before spending $70 all monster high characters on all monster high characters something that may or may not work. all monster high characters I bought a all monster high characters DisplayPort to Lightning cable all monster high characters from Cable Matters, all monster high characters I've been using this monitor for a little over a month all monster high characters now and all monster high characters I gotta say, I've been extremely all monster high characters impressed with the quality of this monitor for the price. That said, all monster high characters it's this price for a reason, and some corners have all monster high characters been all monster high characters cut, but they all monster high characters likely will be compromises all monster high characters most all monster high characters people all monster high characters are willing to accept for the savings. The all monster high characters Good/ExpectedAs far as I all monster high characters know, this monitor all monster high characters is using all monster high characters a Samsung VA panel and the picture is quite nice out all monster high characters of the box. Since it's all monster high characters a VA all monster high characters panel, the contrast ratio should be around all monster high characters 3000:1 out of the box, all monster high characters and in my experience the contrast ratio is quite a nice all monster high characters improvement compared to all monster high characters an all monster high characters IPS or TN panel. Honestly one of the best looking monitors out all monster high characters of the box I've all monster high characters ever used, all monster high characters but I normally cheap out on monitors (strange all monster high characters habit considering I bought an OLED TV). I don't all monster high characters have a calibration tool, but all monster high characters to my eyes all monster high characters the reds are all monster high characters slightly all monster high characters oversaturated, the all monster high characters blues and greens all monster high characters look a all monster high characters smidge all monster high characters undersaturated, the white all monster high characters point all monster high characters is perfect to my all monster high characters eyes, and the gamma all monster high characters is also all monster high characters exactly all monster high characters what I all monster high characters want (around 2.2 all monster high characters based on all monster high characters the lagom website's calibration test). Don't read all monster high characters too much into the color performance I've listed, if you don't buy precalibrated monitors or have never calibrated your monitor before, the out of the all monster high characters box performance all monster high characters will likely blow you away. all monster high characters That said, the all monster high characters matte coating isn't the greatest, leaving individual pixels pretty prominent, which was unexpected considering the resolution. all monster high characters It's easy to get all monster high characters used to and is only all monster high characters noticeable on solid, bright all monster high characters colors. Viewing all monster high characters angles are also what all monster high characters you'd expect from a VA all monster high characters panel. Significantly better than TN, all monster high characters not all monster high characters as all monster high characters good as IPS. all monster high characters The way the image distorts is greatly all monster high characters preferable to TN, as all monster high characters it's all monster high characters pretty all monster high characters much exclusively color shift and isn't too severe. The all monster high characters slight curve of the monitor helps color all monster high characters shift issues at the edges, all monster high characters though all monster high characters they'll still exist all monster high characters to all monster high characters varying degrees based on your distance all monster high characters from the panel. So how does this thing do all monster high characters with gaming Input lag feels all monster high characters great, but this is hardly all monster high characters ever an all monster high characters issue all monster high characters for monitors. I went from a 144hz 1440p TN all monster high characters panel, and while the all monster high characters lower all monster high characters 100hz refresh rate is all monster high characters noticeable, it didn't bother me nearly as much all monster high characters as I all monster high characters thought all monster high characters it all monster high characters might. If all you've used before is all monster high characters 60hz, you're all monster high characters in for a treat. all monster high characters Now all monster high characters a all monster high characters weak point for VA panels is motion blur/ghosting, all monster high characters and all monster high characters this monitor is no all monster high characters exception. Out of all monster high characters the box, the monitor doesn't all monster high characters have the overdrive option selected. I HIGHLY recommend setting this to all monster high characters the highest setting, as it exhibits all monster high characters no noticeable overshoot (for those not familiar all monster high characters with all monster high characters the term, it's all monster high characters like all monster high characters inverse ghosting, which can look arguably more weird) and all monster high characters helps a all monster high characters lot all monster high characters with all monster high characters motion performance. That said, even with this option enabled, all monster high characters there is all monster high characters noticeable smearing on near-black to near-white transitions. If ghosting all monster high characters is a major pet peeve for you, you should probably avoid VA panels all together and stick with TN or high end all monster high characters IPS.So far, this is sounding like it's exactly what you'd expect and all monster high characters hope for from a name brand all monster high characters display. all monster high characters Great out of the box performance with all the settings you all monster high characters want (including all monster high characters freesync/gsync). So all monster high characters where were the corners cutThe Not So GoodWell, let's all monster high characters talk all monster high characters about freesync/gsync on this panel. It mostly works, which is good! But where it's bad, it's pretty bad. all monster high characters The problem is all monster high characters the monitor exhibits brightness inconsistency or "flickering" within a certain all monster high characters range of all monster high characters its all monster high characters freesync window. When your all monster high characters game is running all monster high characters between all monster high characters 48-54 fps (or in other words, when your frametimes spike to this range, which isn't uncommon all monster high characters especially all monster high characters at this all monster high characters resolution!), you'll all monster high characters get that all monster high characters brightness inconsistency. Figuring out exactly what was making this all monster high characters thing tick was a chore, but once all monster high characters I all monster high characters figured it out I personally all monster high characters didn't have all monster high characters much of all monster high characters an all monster high characters issue all monster high characters working around it. You see, all monster high characters one of the major benefits of freesync/gsync is that you all monster high characters can lock your games to any framerate you can keep steady at and all monster high characters it will look buttery smooth. So all monster high characters if I have a game all monster high characters that's regularly spiking to frametimes all monster high characters that low, I lock the all monster high characters game all monster high characters to all monster high characters 45 or 46 FPS using RTSS. This triggers LFC (or all monster high characters low framerate compensation) for both Nvidia all monster high characters and AMD, meaning freesync/gsync still works outside of its listed all monster high characters range. So, this works, but all monster high characters it is an irritating all monster high characters compromise and potentially a deal breaker to those not patient/knowledgeable enough to figure it out and work around it. all monster high characters So is there anything else wrong with this monitorNot a major thing, but the all monster high characters calibration options on the display itself are lacking. all monster high characters If you all monster high characters want all monster high characters a fully calibrated screen, you'll have to do it all monster high characters in software. Again, all monster high characters out of the box performance all monster high characters is good all monster high characters enough for the vast majority of all monster high characters users, all monster high characters so it's only all monster high characters a problem to those that need perfect color performance.Additional InfoI have my all monster high characters switch dock hooked up to this and all monster high characters it upscales all monster high characters to the correct height and all monster high characters maintains aspect ratio (and does have all monster high characters different scaling options if all monster high characters you all monster high characters don't want that for some reason). Despite all monster high characters being all monster high characters an extremely all monster high characters suboptimal monitor for the switch (most all monster high characters switch games are under 1080p, upscaled to 1080p by the switch, then the monitor has to upscale all monster high characters that to 1440p), image quality is about as good as you all monster high characters can expect. The all monster high characters contrast all monster high characters ratio goes all monster high characters a long way to keeping all monster high characters the all monster high characters image appearing sharp.Since all monster high characters the weight of this thing is apparently an enigma, all monster high characters I all monster high characters weighed the monitor without the stand all monster high characters and it's just all monster high characters under 15 pounds. It works beautifully on my all monster high characters dual all monster high characters monitor vesa mount all monster high characters that all monster high characters supports all monster high characters up to 17 all monster high characters pounds, which I'll link here for those interested in all monster high characters seeing all monster high characters something that will work. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077X9Z7MTThe power all monster high characters supply is integrated into all monster high characters the monitor, so all monster high characters no all monster high characters power brick under your desk. The all monster high characters monitor doesn't get too hot to the all monster high characters touch either. Always a all monster high characters plus.If you are hoping to overclock this, you'll have all monster high characters no luck. The monitor uses DisplayPort all monster high characters 1.2, and 3440x1440 @100hz is right at the all monster high characters limit of the bandwidth all monster high characters that standard all monster high characters supports. all monster high characters Seriously, a all monster high characters couple hertz higher and you'll all monster high characters get artifacts. You may have luck overclocking at a lower, all monster high characters non-native resolution, but I didn't try.I tried all monster high characters to be as all monster high characters thorough as possible all monster high characters with this review since truly detailed reviews are a bit all monster high characters lacking. all monster high characters I hope this helps somebody out there make a all monster high characters decision for themselves. Despite the issues, I still highly recommend this all monster high characters monitor for the price ($400).For the price, all monster high characters this is a great monitor. all monster high characters Out all monster high characters of the box it was good, but I do recommend calibrating it for better gaming. all monster high characters I found a good color profile all monster high characters file from a search at Tom's all monster high characters Hardware then manually all monster high characters adjusted all monster high characters some all monster high characters settings. No dead pixels so far. all monster high characters I was never interested all monster high characters in a all monster high characters curved monitor, but the price, specs all monster high characters and reviews made me get it. I am replacing 2 23" acer monitors with older DVI connectors and it is all monster high characters like going SD to HD.The all monster high characters stand is nothing fancy, but all monster high characters sturdy if you don't touch the monitor. I have all monster high characters mine mounted on an arm, clamped all monster high characters to my desk, works great. It comes all monster high characters with a Display Port cable and I recommend all monster high characters that over all monster high characters HDMI.LOSE YOURSELF IN all monster high characters THE GAME Designed for immersive all monster high characters gaming, the all monster high characters GNV34DB2 features all monster high characters 3000:1 sharp contrast ratio (3,000,000:1 Dynamic), all monster high characters 99% all monster high characters SRGB, all monster high characters and all monster high characters HDR Ready 300cd/m2 brightness. Buyer's experience:
1: I've been using this monitor for a little over a month now and I gotta say, I've been extremely impressed with the quality of this monitor for the price. I got this for myself with the hopes that everything works well enough, so that I could purchase for my team.My Computer:Late 2015 iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch;4Ghz, Intel Core i7;32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3;AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MBMy Requirement:I wanted a 34" 3440 X 1440 curved monitor that can be used with Mac's; I've seen multiple flat screen UHD for reasonable prices, but not curved screens. Curved screens (for me) allow you to immerse yourself in your project, and tends to be more intuitive to use. My experience with additional flat screens is that an angle is off on one of the monitors, and that causes me to not look at/use the additional monitor- that defeats the whole purpose of multiple monitors. I know that curved monitors are the newest thing now, and big with gamers (my son is a huge gamer). So for me, UHD quality with a wide screen enables more room for multiple applications running, and good visibility on the applications. When I saw this on Amazon at the price advertised, I was very surprised and skeptical. However, there were really good reviews and I know Amazon is really good at resolving complaints and disputes, so I figured that this is the best place to experiment.Pro's:- Good Price; literally half the price or less, than any of the other big name monitors- Lightweight; this is about 15 lbs., which is a far cry from my old Apple Cinema Display. This makes it easier to move and adjust.- Simple connections; There are only 5 ports in the back of the monitor- HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, Audio-in, and power- Anti-reflective Matte screen (can be bad in the sense that you tend to lose a little visual sharpness with the matte screen. You do however, gain a consistent non-reflective surface if you work in a well-lit or sunny room)- Simple hook up; plug a connecting wire from your computer to one of the 3 video connectors in the monitor, that's it. There are some problems with this, which I'll discuss in the con's- Decent picture quality; I'd give it a 7.5 to 8 on a 1-10 scale, but this is mostly because it sits right next to my 5K iMac. It's like a Toyota sitting next to a Mercedes; Toyota is a great car, but Mercedes has more flash.- Good sound; I was surprised at this. Not that I use the monitor sound very often because I have external speakers. But when I want sound that the bass won't bounce off of every wall in a 30 ft radius, I turn the external speakers off and use the monitor's speakers. I like it even better than the iMac's internal speakers.Con"s:- Poor/no instructions; I had to read other user's reviews as mine didn't come with instructions.- Cables:Comes with the worst possible cable to use; either provide the correct one(s), or none at all.- Connecting with full resolution not as obvious as it seems: Yes, it's a straightforward process but not easy if you don't understand the difference in - quality the various cables are capable of. It comes with an HDMI-HDMI cable, but I used a Lightning to HDMI I've used it in the past to connect to Televisions, projectors, etc., with no problem. I couldn't get the quality to 3440 or the refresh rate any higher than 30Hz, which was very frustrating. Upon lots of research (most helpful was a user review by Upgrayedd for this product- sorry can't link it), I found that I needed a DisplayPort Cable. Checking the Apple site, the advice was that I had to use their USB-C Digital Multiport adapter, or else I would never get the full performance out of the secondary monitor. Well, that cable had bad reviews, and I wanted to try other things before spending $70 on something that may or may not work. I bought a DisplayPort to Lightning cable from Cable Matters,
3: For the price, this is a great monitor. Out of the box it was good, but I do recommend calibrating it for better gaming. I found a good color profile file from a search at Tom's Hardware then manually adjusted some settings. No dead pixels so far. I was never interested in a curved monitor, but the price, specs and reviews made me get it. I am replacing 2 23" acer monitors with older DVI connectors and it is like going SD to HD.The stand is nothing fancy, but sturdy if you don't touch the monitor. I have mine mounted on an arm, clamped to my desk, works great. It comes with a Display Port cable and I recommend that over HDMI.
