What is st moriz mousse Magnasonic All-in-One 22MP film scanner; With large 5" screen and HDMI, converts 35mm/126/110/Super 8 film and 135/126/110 slides to digital photos, built-in memory (FS71) Choice of different brands?
I st moriz mousse finished scanning over 8,000 st moriz mousse negatives (up st moriz mousse to 35 years st moriz mousse old), including st moriz mousse one Black&White set st moriz mousse of negatives. On the st moriz mousse whole, this is st moriz mousse a really awesome little gadget. It does all the basics, st moriz mousse very efficiently, and with a st moriz mousse very st moriz mousse minimal learning curve. I managed to complete st moriz mousse my st moriz mousse scanning in less than st moriz mousse 6 weeks, st moriz mousse working st moriz mousse basically on weekends (maybe st moriz mousse 40-60 hours tops). It really beats having to st moriz mousse scan your prints, using st moriz mousse your home printer, at the rate of 3 minutes per print, st moriz mousse assuming you have a decent copy of your prints. With st moriz mousse this machine, it takes longer to get the st moriz mousse negative st moriz mousse out of its current st moriz mousse location, identify st moriz mousse the proper side, than to load it and make the digital copies.I have not tried any of the st moriz mousse other similar st moriz mousse products, so I'm st moriz mousse not sure st moriz mousse how they st moriz mousse compare. What I've used:- st moriz mousse Different st moriz mousse negative st moriz mousse types (mainly st moriz mousse 35 st moriz mousse mm, color & black&white, some 110, some 126) st moriz mousse - it has st moriz mousse all of the adapters- A perfect little dust brush to clean the st moriz mousse interior st moriz mousse glass surface on a st moriz mousse regular basis (particularly if st moriz mousse you st moriz mousse own cats/dogs in st moriz mousse the house).- The brightness setting st moriz mousse for particularly under or over-exposed pictures. Keep in mind that st moriz mousse it st moriz mousse won't make the picture better, just lighter or darker. What you'll need:- an SD card to load your scanned st moriz mousse images, which st moriz mousse you'll then need transfer st moriz mousse elsewhereA couple of things that could be improved:- With the included adapters, you can only scan st moriz mousse the equivalent of st moriz mousse a 4x6 st moriz mousse ratio, which st moriz mousse you can easily adjust st moriz mousse horizontally (left or right) as you see fit, st moriz mousse but which you cannot adjust st moriz mousse vertically (top st moriz mousse or bottom), meaning that it crops the st moriz mousse top and bottom for you st moriz mousse systematically. The only way around the vertical st moriz mousse cropping is not st moriz mousse to use the adapter and st moriz mousse feed the negative without the adapter, at the risk of not positioning it quite st moriz mousse right. I only did that for a few pictures.- It would have been st moriz mousse nice st moriz mousse to have st moriz mousse a USB cable into your computer directly and st moriz mousse skip having to scan the negative onto an intermediary st moriz mousse SD card. st moriz mousse I guess st moriz mousse it was fine though, the SD card served st moriz mousse as my backup st moriz mousse until I copied the photos to alternate devices. However, the SD card adds on to the overall price of the project, but you can st moriz mousse repurpose the st moriz mousse card st moriz mousse later.- The default color may not be st moriz mousse perfect, although st moriz mousse who st moriz mousse knows whether it's the machine's st moriz mousse fault, or the deterioration of the colors on the st moriz mousse negative strip itself. st moriz mousse I had a hard time using the feature without the original print for comparison.A few things to st moriz mousse keep in mind:- If st moriz mousse your negatives st moriz mousse are in good shape, and were high quality st moriz mousse to begin with, this machine will work beautifully. If your negatives are bad, no machine in the world will make them better.- If you need a st moriz mousse poster size high-quality image, then you might consider taking those st moriz mousse negatives to a professional. But for 4x6 prints, this machine is st moriz mousse fine. For perfection, st moriz mousse you'd st moriz mousse have to invest in st moriz mousse a much st moriz mousse fancier, pricier and more time-consuming device. If you st moriz mousse have the time st moriz mousse and money, that would be ideal. st moriz mousse In the meantime, this little machine st moriz mousse is pretty st moriz mousse nice.FAST st moriz mousse & EASY SCANNING - Simple setup st moriz mousse for frustration-free operation st moriz mousse to effortlessly scan your photos in less st moriz mousse than 5 seconds each with the st moriz mousse included fast-loading film traysQuality product, easy st moriz mousse to use covers several different film types. Instruction manual really didn't go into much detail, but it's easy st moriz mousse to st moriz mousse figure out.BUILT-IN MEMORY & SD CARD SLOT - With a convenient 128MB internal memory and an SD card slot for up to st moriz mousse 128GB of expandable memory you'll st moriz mousse be able to st moriz mousse scan and save a lifetime of photosMULTIPLE WAYS TO VIEW st moriz mousse - Using the stunning 5'' LCD screen, view your film, slides & scanned images directly on the scanner st moriz mousse or use an HDMI st moriz mousse cable (not included) st moriz mousse to view st moriz mousse on your TV or monitorNO COMPUTER NEEDED - No complicated or st moriz mousse expensive photo-editing st moriz mousse software or driver st moriz mousse installation st moriz mousse required, you can adjust brightness, RGB st moriz mousse color correction, flip and mirror directly on st moriz mousse the st moriz mousse scannerThis film scanner does an incredible job with its st moriz mousse finished product. Granted, the instructions are st moriz mousse vague but st moriz mousse easy enough to figure out. You will need st moriz mousse the memory card. Most of film st moriz mousse was either slides or 135mm negatives. st moriz mousse Feeding st moriz mousse either of them had its share st moriz mousse of snags, st moriz mousse getting off track or stuck but with use youll st moriz mousse find st moriz mousse the rhythm and make great st moriz mousse progress. All st moriz mousse of the film Im working through dates back into the 40s (that film st moriz mousse was st moriz mousse too st moriz mousse large for st moriz mousse the st moriz mousse trays but st moriz mousse worked fine when st moriz mousse inserted above the carrier trays). If youre dealing st moriz mousse with old negatives keep in mind that st moriz mousse the photographic equipment used st moriz mousse by st moriz mousse the majority was less than st moriz mousse adequate as were the st moriz mousse photographers. So many of my pictures are fuzzy st moriz mousse or cloudy, too st moriz mousse dark st moriz mousse or too st moriz mousse bright or st moriz mousse a st moriz mousse contrast st moriz mousse of both. Just remember its a memory you st moriz mousse are capturing and not a forensic piece of evidence. Enjoy the vintage st moriz mousse look of a st moriz mousse time st moriz mousse gone by.Happy scanning!!This is actually a very good st moriz mousse scanner. I have scanned st moriz mousse about 7000 negatives so st moriz mousse far and have st moriz mousse gotten good quality, especially on the 35 mm negatives. I also st moriz mousse scan some 110 and 126 negatives st moriz mousse with marginal quality. My biggest complaint about this scanner st moriz mousse is st moriz mousse that I have to keep st moriz mousse turning it back on. While st moriz mousse using it it will st moriz mousse let me st moriz mousse scan in about 10 negatives and then st moriz mousse it st moriz mousse decides to st moriz mousse power down and I st moriz mousse have st moriz mousse to restart. This doesnt sound right. By having to restart so often it st moriz mousse is st moriz mousse taking me a lot st moriz mousse longer st moriz mousse time to scan my negatives.Initially I st moriz mousse was st moriz mousse alarmed at the st moriz mousse very green tint of the unaltered scans. So I st moriz mousse read st moriz mousse through the st moriz mousse instruction st moriz mousse manual to find st moriz mousse where the on-device color correction was and fixed it, st moriz mousse no problem. st moriz mousse All scans are cropped a little, no st moriz mousse matter the film you choose. But that's not st moriz mousse an st moriz mousse issue for scanning and sharing with friends and family. They did st moriz mousse not notice the cropping. I st moriz mousse haven't tried scanning B/W film st moriz mousse yet, but I will. st moriz mousse When I used it the first st moriz mousse time st moriz mousse I scanned disposable st moriz mousse camera film negatives st moriz mousse from st moriz mousse the year 2000 (my kittens), a st moriz mousse vintage slide with a plastic frame from 1981 (helicopter cameraman), st moriz mousse and an st moriz mousse Ektachrome st moriz mousse slide from st moriz mousse 1978 st moriz mousse (the dancers). It would have been nice if the scan didn't automatically tint green st moriz mousse by default. st moriz mousse But its a fixable issue st moriz mousse and I'm happy with my purchase. The main thing to like is st moriz mousse the quality of the st moriz mousse conversions from st moriz mousse 35mm st moriz mousse slides and st moriz mousse negatives. I was pleasantly surprised at st moriz mousse the st moriz mousse sharpness and detail of st moriz mousse my old photography st moriz mousse from years st moriz mousse ago. It is st moriz mousse easy st moriz mousse to st moriz mousse use once st moriz mousse you understand the interface. I st moriz mousse scan a number of st moriz mousse images to an st moriz mousse SD st moriz mousse card, then pull it st moriz mousse out and input it into my desktop.A couple things st moriz mousse would have made this 5-stars. The buttons are too noisy when pressed. st moriz mousse Also I st moriz mousse wish st moriz mousse that st moriz mousse I could have ordered it with one slide st moriz mousse holder st moriz mousse and one negative strip hold instead of st moriz mousse getting three of one st moriz mousse kind only. Finally more control of color, contrast, and brightness st moriz mousse would be nice; the range is too st moriz mousse limited.Recently inherited a huge st moriz mousse box of old negatives when st moriz mousse my mom moved st moriz mousse out of the old house. So st moriz mousse glad I st moriz mousse kept them and made this purchase st moriz mousse because I found photos that I st moriz mousse never knew existed. Easy st moriz mousse to use by sliding the negative st moriz mousse in one side st moriz mousse and out the other. It does come with trays st moriz mousse for different negative sizes, but st moriz mousse I st moriz mousse never was quite st moriz mousse sure how to st moriz mousse use them. My grandpa left me another box of st moriz mousse huge negatives st moriz mousse which I guess I will only get scanned by taking them to a professional photograph place. Wish st moriz mousse this device st moriz mousse had a bigger opening for bigger negatives. Nonetheless this will allow you to scan normal st moriz mousse size negatives that they used back in the 1950s on. Glad I bought this!PRESERVE OLD MEMORIES - Quickly and easily converts 35mm/110/126/Super 8 film negatives & st moriz mousse 135/126/110 slides st moriz mousse into high st moriz mousse resolution st moriz mousse 22MP digital JPEG st moriz mousse files
