What is new xvideo hd 4 DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX400 CPU Air Coolers; 120mm PWM fan and blue LED for Intel/AMD CPUs (AM4 compatible) girlfriend likes?
120x120x25mm PWM fan with blue LEDCan be new xvideo hd easily installed without moving the motherboardI bought this CPU fan to replace another CPU FAN that new xvideo hd was not keeping new xvideo hd up new xvideo hd with the heat of core new xvideo hd i7-11700K. First off this fan new xvideo hd does not block my memory new xvideo hd banks. And they new xvideo hd are new xvideo hd pretty close to the new xvideo hd CPU. new xvideo hd Now new xvideo hd to the new xvideo hd heat and effectiveness of new xvideo hd this CPU FAN. new xvideo hd My processor is 125W TDP this new xvideo hd fan new xvideo hd is new xvideo hd rated new xvideo hd at new xvideo hd 130W TDP. new xvideo hd It keeps my processor new xvideo hd at new xvideo hd around 30c - 35c at "idle" the same temps as my GPU new xvideo hd runs at "idle". Meaning when the computer is on I'm new xvideo hd not new xvideo hd doing anything. It stays the same while I'm new xvideo hd doing minor things such new xvideo hd as new xvideo hd browsing the Internet, writing this review, or watching new xvideo hd Hulu on the PC. When I'm gaming it runs around new xvideo hd 50c - 70c on highest graphics settings. That's on par with my GPU running around 70c-78c while gaming. To put this new xvideo hd in perspective the last fan new xvideo hd I new xvideo hd was using new xvideo hd was new xvideo hd running at idle new xvideo hd 50c new xvideo hd - 60c. While gaming new xvideo hd it was getting up into 80c new xvideo hd - 90c (212f !!!) new xvideo hd Way to new xvideo hd hot. I quit gaming until I got new xvideo hd this fan installed. new xvideo hd So far this fan seems to be working and keeping the processor cool new xvideo hd basically identical to new xvideo hd the temps of my GPU.The cooler IS new xvideo hd am4 compatible, just make sure you new xvideo hd have the default black plastic new xvideo hd mounts that new xvideo hd your motherboard comes with, new xvideo hd the retention brackets. new xvideo hd Also the longer clamp with the release is supposed to face toward your graphic card, new xvideo hd and it new xvideo hd takes a new xvideo hd good new xvideo hd amount of pressure to mount it so don't be afraid to use new xvideo hd some. new xvideo hd Just wish they new xvideo hd put that on new xvideo hd the package somewhere, or on new xvideo hd this page.4 sintered powder heatpipes directly new xvideo hd touch the new xvideo hd CPU new xvideo hd surfaceI ordered this based on a few 5 star reviews that specifically new xvideo hd mentioned AMD FX cpus because that what I was new xvideo hd ordering it for. The old (stock) CPU fan was new xvideo hd quiet enough at low loads, new xvideo hd but sounded like a jet spooling up when under new xvideo hd heavier new xvideo hd loads. I new xvideo hd don't have temperature measurements, but the noise is no different at idle new xvideo hd versus heavily new xvideo hd loaded and that's what I new xvideo hd was new xvideo hd concerned with. new xvideo hd It comes with brackets for both new xvideo hd Intel new xvideo hd and new xvideo hd AMD cpus, new xvideo hd and you'll have to new xvideo hd attach the bracket new xvideo hd for new xvideo hd your CPU type with 4 new xvideo hd screws. I new xvideo hd would definitely buy another one.TL;DR . . . new xvideo hd for twenty bucks, you cannot go wrong.Back story: . . new xvideo hd . ok, my new xvideo hd 3700X with a wraith prizm new xvideo hd cooler died. I bought it second hand new xvideo hd and new xvideo hd it new xvideo hd had problems right from the beginning. new xvideo hd Like, new xvideo hd If I tried to overclock it, the system new xvideo hd would crash, and new xvideo hd if I new xvideo hd enabled PBO (AMD's Precision Boost new xvideo hd Overdrive) the system would new xvideo hd be new xvideo hd very new xvideo hd unstable, locking up new xvideo hd and crashing. I'm pretty new xvideo hd sure the guy I new xvideo hd bought new xvideo hd it new xvideo hd from had overclocked the living crap out of it. And it new xvideo hd died new xvideo hd about 11 months new xvideo hd after I new xvideo hd got it.So, new xvideo hd I new xvideo hd bought new xvideo hd a new xvideo hd 2600X from a new xvideo hd reputable reseller and put it into my new xvideo hd system using new xvideo hd the wraith prizm cooler. Holy new xvideo hd Cow! What a difference. new xvideo hd That 3700X definitely new xvideo hd had something wrong with new xvideo hd it new xvideo hd cause this 2600X new xvideo hd is just about perfect for my needs. new xvideo hd No crashing, just steady solid performance. BUT! . . . new xvideo hd that wraith cooler new xvideo hd is letting it run hotter than I'd like. Turns out the 3700X has a 65watt tdp but the 2600X has a new xvideo hd 95watt tdp. I didn't new xvideo hd see any reason to go new xvideo hd overboard and new xvideo hd get a liquid cooler. Just something better than the wraith. The DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX400 does just that. And it does it well. Before, the wraith would keep the 2600X cool at new xvideo hd around 72C during new xvideo hd the most new xvideo hd demanding situations. The DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX400 hasn't gone past new xvideo hd 59C during the same workloads. Yes, that's new xvideo hd right, 12-13 degrees cooler. The wraith fan was new xvideo hd definitely audible, new xvideo hd the GAMMAXX400 is new xvideo hd whisper new xvideo hd quiet under load and silent new xvideo hd during casual new xvideo hd use. I'm stunned at new xvideo hd how much better it is.I new xvideo hd highly recommend it. How is this new xvideo hd thing only new xvideo hd twenty new xvideo hd bucksThis cooler is designed for the older hardware. I use it for the motherboard new xvideo hd of over 10 years old. And it is big. For those new xvideo hd who have miniature cases like SFF (small new xvideo hd form new xvideo hd factor), it won't fit in the case. new xvideo hd I have a new xvideo hd mid-size new xvideo hd tower of the new xvideo hd normal width, new xvideo hd and it fits there well. The cooler, using its own new xvideo hd thermal paste that was included in the package, keeps the Q6600 Core 2 CPU at 40-45C new xvideo hd when room temperature is close new xvideo hd to 27-28C. new xvideo hd I do new xvideo hd not hear it at new xvideo hd all (it definitely makes some noise but it is not higher than normal new xvideo hd background new xvideo hd noise). Installation was easy with click pins that fixed it new xvideo hd in place and new xvideo hd released by turning 90degrees CW new xvideo hd or CCW. new xvideo hd I was new xvideo hd concerned that the blue LED will be annoying but it new xvideo hd is OK. My case does not have new xvideo hd any clear panels, new xvideo hd so new xvideo hd it is happily lighting up the internals without getting much light new xvideo hd out.One new xvideo hd thing that I new xvideo hd did not like is instructions. I understand new xvideo hd that the low price forced the manufacturer to cut corners and new xvideo hd print the instructions (pictures) in a shrunk form where it new xvideo hd is difficult new xvideo hd to see anything. new xvideo hd My previous experience with PC building helped me but it may ne difficult for a novice. Other than that, I cannot complain about new xvideo hd the build quality new xvideo hd or dependability new xvideo hd of the new xvideo hd cooler so far. Hopefully, new xvideo hd if the fan will survive 1-2 years before it needs replacement, I think I will get my money worth.Supports Intel Socket 130W LGA20XX/LGA1366/LGA115X/LGA775 and AMD Socket 125W new xvideo hd AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1Initial system didnt new xvideo hd have the mounting products needed, but I new xvideo hd returned it new xvideo hd and got another one. It took a little new xvideo hd effort to install, new xvideo hd but it works and my computer runs new xvideo hd cool and I cant hear it!Extra fan clips new xvideo hd provided allow adding a second fanI replaced a stock cooler with this and it is so much better. Almost no noise and it keeps my computer way cooler than new xvideo hd the stock cooler new xvideo hd did. new xvideo hd And it was new xvideo hd only $20 which is awesome.Only new xvideo hd problem new xvideo hd I had was the top spikes didn't new xvideo hd quite fit in new xvideo hd my new xvideo hd case. I took inspiration from another review picture I saw new xvideo hd and new xvideo hd cut holes it in. Worked out fine new xvideo hd for me.
