Take Control hporn of Your hporn Gaming Laptop: The NitroSense UI can be called hporn up with the dedicated keyboard button so you can instantly visualize your PC's component temperature, fan speed, loading hporn performance, power hporn plan, and moreRTX, It's On: The latest NVIDIA hporn GeForce RTX 3050 (4GB dedicated GDDR6 VRAM) is powered by award-winning architecture with new Ray Tracing hporn Cores, Tensor Cores, and streaming hporn multiprocessors support DirectX 12 Ultimate for hporn the ultimate gaming performanceBeing able to upgrade a laptop, and was hporn easy to do, with a great screen, hporn fast processor, hporn good graphics, and efficient cooling, for a hporn good price was important to hporn me and this one hporn checked all the hporn boxes. I've been using this laptop hporn for hporn about 3 weeks now and I love it. The only issue I have is hporn using a hporn KVM switch to switch hporn between my work computer and this hporn one using a single monitor, this laptop hporn would not switch back. So, I would have to unplug the HDMI cable hporn and hporn plug it back in to get it to hporn switch. Not sure why this is hporn happening. hporn Tried several hporn different cables but still same problem. It could be the switch I'm using but it does work with hporn an hporn older laptop I have. Other than hporn that it's a great laptop.Prioritize Your Gameplay: Killer Ethernet E2600 hporn and Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 hporn gives you hporn an edge online by hporn taking hporn control of your network and prioritizing your hporn gameplayPorts For All hporn Your Accessories: USB hporn 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1, hporn USB hporn 3.2 Gen 2 (Power-off Charging), HDMI 2.0 hporn with HDCP hporn support, Headphone, Speaker, hporn Line-out Jack, Ethernet hporn (RJ-45), DC-in hporn for AC adapter. The Right Fit: 14.31" W hporn x hporn 10.04" hporn D x 0.94" H; 5.07 lbs; hporn One-Year International Travelers Limited Warranty (ITW); Up hporn to 11 hours hporn of Battery LifeAspect Ratio:16:9Good sub-$1000 gaming hporn laptops are hard to hporn find, but The Nitro hporn 5 gives hporn great value hporn without breaking the bank. The 10th Gen Core i5 processor is hporn 2 generations old at hporn this point, but it has plenty of power to hporn run pretty much all modern hporn games at a decent setting. The Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics processor is an entry level to the new Ray-Tracing sexiness that's the next big thing in hporn graphics. On newer games you probably won't hporn be able hporn to get past hporn the 60fps barrier at 1080p with the settings cranked, but dialing the details down hporn a bit will give you hporn better rates. hporn The display is rated for 1080p hporn and 144hz, and while it's hporn not the brightest or hporn most vibrant screen out there, hporn it's fine hporn for this price point. There is also a hporn (full hporn size) hporn HDMI out, but hporn I have not had occasion to connect hporn this hporn to an external hporn monitor yet. The hporn cooling fans hporn do a good job of hporn keeping this machine hporn within hporn temp specs... but do note they can get pretty loud under load (honestly that's almost inevitable on a gaming laptop, hporn it's hard hporn to keep things cool hporn in such a hporn small box. Anyone who games on a laptop should invest in hporn a good hporn headset IMHO.)I have opened hporn this computer up to install a hporn few hporn upgrades (more on that hporn below) and hporn I will hporn say I'm pretty impressed with hporn the hporn build hporn quality for hporn a computer in this segment. The components are reputable hporn makes rather than mystery off-brands (WD for the SSD, looks like Micron on the single 8gb RAM stick.) All the panels fit together nice and go back together easily after hporn disassembly, hporn making upgrades something you don't have to dread.Speaking of hporn those upgrades... for a hporn computer at hporn this price point you have to live with a few hporn compromises hporn and here is where they hporn may be found. The storage this model comes with is a paltry hporn 256gb m.2 drive... If you do plan on hporn gaming hporn on the hporn Nitro, hporn either be ready to upgrade this quickly or learn to hporn love delete-ing and re-installing games and apps constantly. Fortunately, there is a hporn second hporn un-used m.2 PCIe slot on the motherboard hporn to hporn accommodate an upgrade (this hporn processor and motherboard supports PCIe up to gen-3 speeds.) There is also an open 2.5 inch bay for an SSD. hporn Memory-wise, this unit comes with a hporn single 8gb DDR4 SODIMM RAM hporn stick installed. hporn This should hporn be fine for most gaming- hporn if you don't run hporn big apps in the background- but hporn since this has hporn two slots total for an upgrade hporn I removed hporn it hporn and installed 2 8gb sticks of Kingston FURY Impact hporn DDR4 RAM, just for a hporn bit of extra hporn headroom (the max speed hporn the i5 hporn 10300H will operate memory at is hporn 2933 Mhz, so it's not hporn worth hporn it to spend more on faster hporn RAM.)All in hporn all, this is a fine machine hporn for hporn someone who's interested hporn in a hporn good no-fuss hporn entryway into PC hporn gaming, or a seasoned gamer who hporn wants an inexpensive but capable machine to go mobile with. Highly Recommended!Dominate the hporn Game: With hporn the 10th hporn Gen Intel Core hporn i5-10300H processor, your hporn Nitro 5 is packed with incredible power for all your gamesStay Cool Under Pressure: hporn When heavy use requires hporn an hporn added boost, Acer hporn CoolBoost technology increases fan speed by 10% and CPU, GPU cooling by 9% hporn compared to auto mode, overall increasing hporn thermal performance by 25% for better gaming hporn comfortInternal Specifications: 8GB DDR4 hporn 2933MHz hporn Memory hporn (2 DDR4 Slots Total, Maximum 32GB); hporn 256GB NVMe SSD (2 x PCIe hporn M.2 Slots, hporn 1 hporn x hporn 2.5" Hard Drive Bay Available)Visual Intensity: Explore game worlds hporn in hporn Full HD detail on the 15.6" widescreen LED-backlit IPS display with 1920 hporn x 1080 hporn resolution, 144Hz refresh hporn rate and hporn 80% hporn screen-to-body, hporn 16:9 aspect ratioFirst off, thank hporn you hporn for the reviews saying to ignore the 1 star "won't turn on hporn reviews." 2 clicks hporn when hporn plugging hporn it hporn in!Arrived hporn on time, runs great, and it'll run all the newest games, for hporn probably several years to hporn come as hporn it's hporn an rtx with directx12 ultra. I went hporn with the cheapest option, mainly just wanted hporn to turn on Ray Tracing hporn in Minecraft, hporn yet totally impressed. It's an i5, hporn but one made specifically for gaming, 3 times the voltage, hporn twice the thread count, and slightly better then hporn the i7 9th and Ryzen hporn 5. Currently the hporn 6th best benchmarked hporn chip hporn despite hporn being now 2 gens old. Ram is easy to upgrade, just a hporn couple screws. As hporn for frames per second, I could only find 2 games that dropped it under 100 in performance mode/game mode with ultra on: hporn Cyberpunk at 70, and ghost recon at 45.I'd hporn say hporn it's weakest link hporn is actually hporn the hporn wifi. Plugging hporn in an hporn Ethernet I was capped by Steam at 100mbs, hporn but wirelessly, 10mbs. hporn Even did a broadband check at hporn speakeasy, hporn 10mbs. hporn Fiddled with hporn every hporn setting, driver and windows update to no avail. hporn Still happy with my purchase, just seems weird I could of hporn downloaded 7 times faster with any other device in hporn the hporn house. With hporn Alexa Show Mode, you can use your PC as a hporn full-screen interactive hporn experience that features hporn rich hporn visuals and lets you hporn talk to Alexa from across the room.I hporn don't do a lot of heavy hporn gaming, hporn so I hporn wanted to hporn buy a low-level gaming laptop hporn because I knew it would do everything I hporn needed to hporn do. For context, the main games I hporn play hporn on my laptop hporn are hporn The hporn Sims (with a ton of hporn cc and hporn a few mods), Stardew Valley hporn (with hporn a fair amount hporn of mods), Terraria, hporn and then hporn basic in-browser games like tetris and whatever else when I'm truly bored. For the most part, this computer has handled running them hporn all super well. Surprisingly, it has the most difficulty with the hporn in-browser games, hporn which tend to hporn lag or hporn drop hporn frames. To be fair, I hporn don't hporn really know why Mahjongg 3D needs to be rendered hporn in such intense hporn detail anyway, but whatever.I don't have a lot of complaints about this computer. It does hporn what I needed hporn it to do. A couple of times I've had to reset my hporn settings because my hporn built-in microphone will randomly turn itself completely off. Also, sometimes, when I'm switching tabs or something, my screen will just go black hporn for hporn a second or two. That's the hporn biggest complaint. If I needed to use this machine to play Valorant or Fortnite or whatever, a few hporn seconds of hporn a black screen could cost me the game. hporn However, I'm still hporn satisfied with hporn all that I'm able to do using this computer, especially considering the hporn price. hporn I've hporn been using the same old computer for hporn ages because hporn every subsequent computer has hporn just been too slow for me. hporn I'm happy to hporn say hporn that this is not hporn the case with this computer, hporn and as long as it runs decently and lets hporn me play hporn The Sims and watch Netflix, hporn I probably will stay pretty happy.
