Size, weight, display and speed are all very good. This was the best xxx casada laptop I found anywhere for the price. It replaced an old xxx casada Acer laptop xxx casada we xxx casada gave to our grandson to xxx casada use in school. xxx casada He's happy, xxx casada we're happy. Didn't rate for Gaming because xxx casada we don't use our computers for games. xxx casada Didn't rate xxx casada For xxx casada touch screen because xxx casada this model doesn't have one. Summary is: good xxx casada laptop at a fair price.1 xxx casada - USB xxx casada 3.2 (Type-C) Gen xxx casada 1 port (up xxx casada to 5 xxx casada Gbps) xxx casada | 2 - USB xxx casada 3.2 Gen 1 Ports (one with Power-off Charging) | 1 - xxx casada USB 2.0 Port | xxx casada 1 - HDMI 2.0 Port with HDCP xxx casada supportI ordered this on the xxx casada first day of prime day xxx casada and there was a system error that wouldn't allow xxx casada it to set it up. So I had to xxx casada order xxx casada it again! I couldn't get an exchange. I was nervous but I xxx casada got it set up. I xxx casada haven't had it long enough to comment on xxx casada battery life. I xxx casada was xxx casada disappointed I xxx casada couldn't exchange it. xxx casada It xxx casada was probably xxx casada due to xxx casada prime day, however it's a computer and xxx casada exchanges should be allowed if it's not xxx casada working. I could have provided proof. So now I have to wait for a refund. I think about xxx casada other people who xxx casada can't afford to xxx casada buy xxx casada 2 xxx casada computers xxx casada and missed xxx casada out on xxx casada the prime deals xxx casada over defective products. I was lucky to xxx casada be in position to buy it again. It's not the xxx casada norm for me. xxx casada Amazon with all their money should think about their customers xxx casada more. People are xxx casada trying xxx casada to get computers for their kids for xxx casada school and there's inflation and people are counting on working products on prime xxx casada daysAmazing xxx casada laptop for being midrange. Honestly the only thing is the build quality xxx casada needs improvement. xxx casada Internal specs are great and doesn't heat up or xxx casada slow xxx casada down after constant use. Love xxx casada windows 11 since it allows you to use Android xxx casada apps and not just the xxx casada Microsoft store. xxx casada Battery life is great. Don't really have any complaints except xxx casada build quality but for xxx casada the price they had xxx casada to cut xxx casada a corner somewhere and I would take performance over build quality anyday.Biggest case of buyers remorse xxx casada in my life. Always bought HP with Intel hardware but figured with the reviews for this Acer Aspire 5 xxx casada with xxx casada AMD Ryzen 5 and Radeon graphics xxx casada why not xxx casada explore unfamiliar territory xxx casada and see what the hype was about in the xxx casada reviews. This Acer xxx casada Aspire 5 for $489 Brand New shipped xxx casada to the door I was astonished the xxx casada laptop xxx casada didn't come with an actual user xxx casada manual. xxx casada Was even xxx casada more pissed that you can not xxx casada setup and use this without first xxx casada connecting to a WiFi network. For xxx casada those who don't xxx casada care about xxx casada WiFi connections and just want a localized laptop with out brand manufacturers spying on xxx casada you and gathering data your SOL. Wanted to xxx casada read xxx casada the user manual to see there if there was a way around this but for $489 you have to xxx casada have the internet xxx casada and download it. After xxx casada I xxx casada connected to the internet xxx casada against my will xxx casada the computer xxx casada restarted and xxx casada entered an error message xxx casada that an error was encountered and xxx casada it needed to restart. It did this twice with no luck just blue xxx casada screens. It then went to diagnose xxx casada repair xxx casada screen attempting to diagnose xxx casada the failure to start xxx casada up with no luck only xxx casada option was to xxx casada shut down. xxx casada After shutdown it actually xxx casada loaded back xxx casada up xxx casada the and the xxx casada very next xxx casada screen was xxx casada demanding xxx casada to log in with a Microsoft account xxx casada or sign xxx casada up xxx casada for one. Now there are xxx casada ways around xxx casada this with HP xxx casada laptops. All xxx casada you xxx casada have xxx casada to do is say no internet connection at 1st use xxx casada and xxx casada then you xxx casada can sign xxx casada in xxx casada with a local account instead xxx casada of xxx casada logging xxx casada in with a Microsoft account. For xxx casada those who may not understand why xxx casada this is an xxx casada issue xxx casada for some xxx casada is when you xxx casada login with a Microsoft account xxx casada no matter xxx casada what xxx casada settings xxx casada on privacy xxx casada you xxx casada think xxx casada you can control you have zero xxx casada privacy. Microsoft can see xxx casada anything any everything xxx casada you do on your laptop down to the keyboard xxx casada typing and all activity. Oh well I know how xxx casada to xxx casada fix that later and I xxx casada sign on xxx casada with a Microsoft account. Finally get xxx casada to windows and do what I xxx casada always do download Firefox and xxx casada Uninstall Microsoft edge. I restart the xxx casada laptop xxx casada to the same cycle of error loading operating system and attempt to diagnose that fails. Shut down the laptop xxx casada and it xxx casada loads again. Finally found out that xxx casada anytime you restart the laptop whatsoever xxx casada it cycles back to xxx casada the same blue xxx casada screens xxx casada of error loading windows and diagnosing. Performed a factory xxx casada restore back to complete factory settings so it was like the first xxx casada time xxx casada I opened the laptop up no xxx casada difference. Still xxx casada doing this cycle of device ran into problem gathering info, then diagnosing xxx casada PC, PC cant be repaired, shut down, loads till xxx casada the next time xxx casada it xxx casada restarts. Being xxx casada upset is putting it xxx casada mildly. I'm 38 xxx casada and xxx casada have been xxx casada using computers and fixing them since I was 12, this xxx casada is not xxx casada a foreign language xxx casada to me. xxx casada This Acer Aspire 5 xxx casada with xxx casada AMD processor and graphics is xxx casada total garbage. Brand new and it don't even work xxx casada properly right out of the freakin xxx casada box. I factory xxx casada restored this thing xxx casada 3 times and xxx casada supposedly this wipes the xxx casada hard drive completely and saves nothing but yet every time it re-installs xxx casada it still has my xxx casada name has the device owner. xxx casada I started growing xxx casada aggravated with HP but Acer is a xxx casada complete joke. The display sucks xxx casada also. Everything looks xxx casada fine till you open a windows system or program xxx casada property window then it's so blurry you xxx casada think u have something in your xxx casada eye, played with resolution xxx casada and display settings and everything xxx casada is xxx casada clear and xxx casada fine until you open a windows properties window and you xxx casada can barely make out the letters. Same windows on my 3, 5 and 7 year old HP laptops zero issues but xxx casada this brand new $500 Acer laptops display stops xxx casada wanting to work properly over a properties window Who ever xxx casada designed this model and it components and said yeah xxx casada let's ship that xxx casada out to the xxx casada unexpected consumer needs banished from xxx casada working in the information technology field. I xxx casada wanted to get product support from Acer to address xxx casada this xxx casada issue but I couldn't even register this product through the xxx casada preinstalled Acer Care Center xxx casada software or their website, everytime I tried it gave me an error xxx casada message xxx casada and to try again later. So if xxx casada you know a little about computers and want to fix a Brand xxx casada New laptop yourself xxx casada to get xxx casada it to work properly I xxx casada think you will be very pleased with xxx casada the performance of this machine with the AMD components.UPDATE: Found the fix for above issues. Don't use the xxx casada operating system or ghost recovery drive programmed into the laptop. Download windows media creation tool and perform a xxx casada full wipe and installation using the USB xxx casada flash drive on startup. The install xxx casada will only load windows 10 xxx casada but after 2-3 days windows update will automatically install windows xxx casada 11. I used xxx casada Driver xxx casada Booster 9 to xxx casada update all the drivers for the hardware xxx casada which xxx casada always works flawlessly, best part its free xxx casada and xxx casada fast and has 1 click upgrades for xxx casada all drivers. xxx casada After a bunch of headache xxx casada and wasted time I'm pretty impressed and happy xxx casada with the hardware xxx casada components. I bench-marked and stress xxx casada tested this PC xxx casada to some remarkable xxx casada results. Too bad it couldn't work properly xxx casada right out of xxx casada the box, someone at Acer really dropped the xxx casada ball. What xxx casada I like about this Acer Aspire A515 45 is that it has 2 memory slots xxx casada and comes with 8GB preinstalled and xxx casada is up-gradable to 32 xxx casada GB. The xxx casada Graphics card takes half of the preinstalled 8GB and dedicates it to graphics processing which is nice in xxx casada a way but its a give and xxx casada take. xxx casada I had a 4GB card of xxx casada DDR4 with a 2666MHz clock frequency and threw xxx casada that in the unused memory slot. I was unsure how the PC would benchmark xxx casada after xxx casada this xxx casada because xxx casada the xxx casada memory preinstalled was 3200MHz and that basically bottle necks the original memory card from xxx casada 3200MHz xxx casada down to 2666MHz but it still performed better than without it. Ideally you xxx casada want to match the memory frequency xxx casada with what is preinstalled to avoid this but like I said I had this 2666Mhz card already. In the xxx casada near future I xxx casada will match the preinstalled memory xxx casada card xxx casada with an after xxx casada market 8GB DDR4 card with xxx casada a xxx casada 3200MHz frequency as well as xxx casada matching the xxx casada rank of the card (single xxx casada rank/double rank) xxx casada and all xxx casada other specs. Ideally you want both xxx casada slots to match down to the last detail including the memory capacity to prevent bottle necks between the processor and the motherboards ability to communicate with xxx casada the memory. When xxx casada I had the xxx casada back off this the 2nd memory card slot was xxx casada right there and xxx casada accessibility xxx casada but the original wasnt visible xxx casada so If you want to xxx casada replace the original xxx casada memory card it xxx casada appears you have to xxx casada remove the mother board and xxx casada flip it over to get to xxx casada the original used xxx casada memory slot. While I was xxx casada installing xxx casada the xxx casada added xxx casada memory I scene that it has a space for an extra xxx casada additional hard xxx casada drive which is really xxx casada great! I have a 500 GB xxx casada Samsung 870 xxx casada EVO SSD xxx casada hard xxx casada drive in one of my older HP xxx casada laptops that will be going xxx casada in this next. I thought I was gonna have to buy different brackets and sata cable xxx casada to xxx casada install the Samsung Evo SSD but xxx casada they were included in the box with all the screws as well! If you buy a model with Intel products xxx casada that stuff will be inside the laptop xxx casada taped where the second hard drive goes. After setting up the additional Samsung hard drive so it was recognized by the xxx casada laptop I used xxx casada Samsung's "Magician" software to benchmark both drives and was astonished xxx casada that the western xxx casada digital xxx casada SSD was 3 xxx casada times faster than my Samsung EVO 870. xxx casada My Samsung was xxx casada doing almost 600MB xxx casada a xxx casada second read/speed and xxx casada the WD was almost 2GB per second! My fastest laptop before this Acer was a xxx casada HP xxx casada Notebook 15 xxx casada with xxx casada an dual core Intel i3 xxx casada processor. That HP xxx casada ran me the same price as xxx casada this Acer 2 years ago. It xxx casada worked great but its a night and day difference between this Acer for multi tasking xxx casada and for video xxx casada and graphics xxx casada capabilities. That xxx casada HP xxx casada didnt have the xxx casada extra bay for an additional hard drive either. Im very pleased xxx casada with xxx casada this Acer after I removed the pre-installed operating system and software.AMD Ryzen 5 xxx casada 5500U Hexa-Core Mobile xxx casada Processor with AMD Radeon Graphics15.6" Full HD xxx casada (1920 x 1080) xxx casada Widescreen LED-backlit IPS DisplayEven xxx casada though my first experience with a gaming platform was xxx casada the Magnavox Odyssey, xxx casada and my first xxx casada ownership of a gaming platform xxx casada was the xxx casada Atari 2600, and my first computer was the xxx casada Commodore 64, I have kept up with xxx casada technology the entire way since then. I have found it disconcerting and annoying xxx casada that we xxx casada the xxx casada people have allowed things to xxx casada become the xxx casada way they have. There is no way apparently to even get this laptop started without xxx casada an email address xxx casada providing xxx casada your xxx casada name xxx casada personal information xxx casada and an xxx casada internet connection. All of these things lead to xxx casada an invasion of xxx casada my privacy. Although it seems free to allow every large company on planet Earth to know everything about everybody, it isn't free. There will be penalties xxx casada there xxx casada will be consequences. Science xxx casada fiction xxx casada has provided xxx casada many scenarios, but that's why it's called fiction. xxx casada The reality xxx casada of the xxx casada thing is that's pretty soon we will xxx casada not be able to xxx casada make a decision by ourselves. I've noticed that some people already cannot do anything without xxx casada checking xxx casada out a video xxx casada first. Everything and everybody xxx casada is tracked. xxx casada I use my xxx casada phone to xxx casada check my credit card account, my bank account, the TV listings and some xxx casada internet browsing. I recently xxx casada installed a tracker xxx casada blocker made by Duck Duck Go. The aforementioned use of xxx casada my xxx casada phone produces 3,000 xxx casada blocked trackers every 7 days. It is disgusting xxx casada and creepy. I cannot leave my house xxx casada or xxx casada dozens xxx casada of xxx casada or maybe hundreds or xxx casada thousands of companies xxx casada know where I am xxx casada and know that xxx casada I'm not home and know xxx casada that xxx casada there's xxx casada no one at home because I'm gone. At any time you xxx casada can xxx casada stop by and do xxx casada what you xxx casada want because they know xxx casada I'm not home. This laptop has language written xxx casada by Microsoft that tells xxx casada me how much they are helping xxx casada me by allowing them to xxx casada track xxx casada me. And xxx casada in so many words, that's not true. Many people, and it was xxx casada seeing the younger xxx casada generation, xxx casada does xxx casada not see the xxx casada problem with xxx casada this. xxx casada I xxx casada hear people xxx casada say, xxx casada "everybody does it" xxx casada as if that makes it okay. It is xxx casada not okay, but my laptop is more than xxx casada 10 years old and I needed a new one. xxx casada I can repair my old appliances and some of the old electronics. I can repair older cars, in fact my new xxx casada car is xxx casada 20 years old. Unlike the xxx casada people on TV, I xxx casada do xxx casada regular maintenance and I do xxx casada not have breakdowns. Everything today has programmed obsolescence. There was a time when durable goods meant 16 to 20 years. xxx casada Today, durable goods last 2 xxx casada to 4 xxx casada years. My xxx casada refrigerator is xxx casada was purchased at Sears by me in 1995. It still works. xxx casada My xxx casada washer xxx casada and dryer was also purchased in 1995 xxx casada and they xxx casada still work. I will be lucky to get four or xxx casada five years out of this laptop. I xxx casada am sure windows xxx casada will be more than xxx casada happy to sell another copy of their software xxx casada on some company's laptop. In a xxx casada time wheen people are more xxx casada and xxx casada more aware xxx casada that xxx casada the resources on planet earth are finite, we manufacture goods that will end up in a landfill.Wi-Fi 6 | Backlit Keyboard | Up xxx casada to 11 Hours Battery xxx casada Life xxx casada | xxx casada Comes with xxx casada Windows 11 Home8GB DDR4 Onboard Memory and xxx casada 256GB NVMe SSD
