What is pronstar AOC CQ27G2 27" Super Curved Frameless Gaming Monitor QHD 2K, 1500R Curved VA, 1ms, 144Hz, FreeSync, Height Adjustable, 3-Yr Zero Dead Pixel gift to girlfriend?

I like this pronstar monitor a lot since pronstar I jumped from 60hz to 144hz. Overall if you are looking for something that is pronstar overall good pronstar but not pronstar the best monitor and pronstar trying to save a bit pronstar of money. Then this is the monitor to go. The 2 issues I have with this monitor pronstar is the dead pronstar pixel I have on the pronstar bottom left of the monitor. pronstar Even though it is small and unnoticeable, you can not unsee it. I am currently working pronstar to get a replacement for the monitor because I really pronstar like pronstar it a lot and want to game with it more. Another issue I have with the monitor is pronstar that pronstar it pronstar looks hella washed out, so pronstar please do play pronstar with the settings pronstar on it because pronstar there pronstar is no pronstar other way. Also for people experiencing ghosting on the monitor pronstar the pronstar settings, pronstar I say to change is to set pronstar your [gamma to pronstar 2] [shadow control to 60] and [overdrive to medium], pronstar and to avoid the pronstar washed-out weird color pronstar contrast I put the color temp pronstar to normal. I really hope pronstar this pronstar helps people who are experiencing ghosting with their monitorsI will update pronstar on how the process pronstar will go on pronstar getting the new pronstar monitor pronstar (:Brilliant colors producing pronstar over 120% area coverage for pronstar sRGB color pronstar gamutI took a real chance on this thing. It pronstar was made by a company I've never heard of, it was the cheapest monitor in its pronstar class by far, and I pronstar was getting it "open pronstar box" condition. But I gotta say, I'm glad pronstar I took the plunge!Usually when you get something that pronstar costs so pronstar much less than its competitors, there's a reason for it. It may still be a good product, but pronstar compromises had to pronstar be pronstar made pronstar somewhere. But in this case, I can't find pronstar them. It's pronstar very well built, works flawlessly and doesn't have any weird compatibility issues like my old Acer monitor. pronstar Looking at other reviews of this monitor, the pronstar general consensus seems to pronstar be that the only downsides are some minor color inaccuracies and that it doesn't get very pronstar bright. Well, I can't pronstar speak for color inaccuracies because I couldn't care less, but this thing was almost painfully bright when I first turned it pronstar on. pronstar Now maybe that's just because I'm coming from a monitor pronstar that was..adequate, to pronstar be polite about it, but I really pronstar can't imagine someone needing something pronstar brighter than pronstar this. The only complaint I have is that pronstar the buttons along the bottom need to be marked more pronstar clearly. They're just slightly raised pronstar icons just barely darker than the rest pronstar of pronstar bezel; impossible pronstar to see without extra light. pronstar But that's pronstar par pronstar for the course when it comes to monitors. I've seen ones that cost 3x more than this one that still have pronstar the same problem.Overall, a pronstar fantastic monitor even without factoring in the pronstar price. But when you pronstar can snag it for $200 pronstar That would be a good pronstar deal pronstar even pronstar for a 1080p monitor pronstar in the 144hz pronstar class, let alone 1440p.The monitor has some issues pronstar with ghosting or visible pronstar artifacts when pronstar overdrive is on pronstar in some scenarios and games (Very noticeable in minecraft pronstar caves) it also isn't pronstar super bright and that pronstar ends up having it seem pronstar less sharp. Overall, it pronstar is a good buy for the price and pronstar a worthwhile upgrade from a pronstar 27" 1080p monitorI'm pronstar always a little pronstar concerned buying displays online pronstar because I pronstar hate pronstar getting pronstar one with dead pixels, and the return pronstar process if often pronstar so much pronstar hassle I'm willing pronstar to live with one pronstar or two bad pixels in a corner or something pronstar like pronstar that. pronstar I wasn't worried getting this one though, given how smooth, quick, and easy pronstar Amazon's return/exchange process is! That pronstar said, I'm very happy to say that pronstar this monitor pronstar arrived with no bad pixels at all, perfect! The box pronstar was damaged in shipping, but pronstar everything inside was packed so pronstar well there was no pronstar damage, other than to the box. Great! The pronstar image pronstar quality out of the pronstar box is a little washed out, and almost underwhelming. I expected this, having watched and read several reviews all around the internet before deciding to purchase this specific pronstar model. After some adjustments recommended by some pronstar of those pronstar reviews, and my own pronstar personal tweaks, this is one of pronstar the pronstar best looking monitors pronstar I've had yet! pronstar Plenty bright enough, great rich colors, and deep blacks, really pronstar deep. The pronstar 144Hz is great pronstar for smoothing out motion on screen (when your hardware can pronstar keep up) and it works perfect with nVidia G-Sync. pronstar (I have a pronstar Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce OC) With G-Sync pronstar enabled, I do see some flickering pronstar on pronstar the monitor when the refresh rate falls down pretty low, but as long as pronstar the frame rate stays up close pronstar to 90+ it's pronstar perfect. This is a known issue with some "older" pronstar GTX cards, pronstar which I suspect this wouldn't be an issue with a newer pronstar GPU than mine. pronstar Some of pronstar the reviews I pronstar read pronstar did mention this, pronstar and said it was pronstar corrected when using pronstar a pronstar higher pronstar end pronstar GPU.My previous pronstar monitor that pronstar stopped working, and resulted in my buying this one, pronstar was pronstar wall pronstar mounted over my desk so pronstar I had more range of adjustment. pronstar I was going to do the same with this monitor, but the included stand pronstar is so nice I pronstar used it and took the wall mount pronstar down. You get pronstar enough tilt, rotation side to side, and height adjustment pronstar to do anything I want with it, and easily pronstar align pronstar it so it sits perfect next to my second monitor on the pronstar side. pronstar The bezels on pronstar this monitor are pronstar much pronstar smaller than pronstar on my old one too, pronstar which pronstar makes mounting next to a second monitor that much nicer. The curve pronstar is pretty nice pronstar too! It's pronstar noticeable at first, coming from pronstar all flat monitors in pronstar the pronstar past, but you pronstar quickly get pronstar used to it, and miss it when sitting down pronstar in front pronstar of a flat pronstar monitor pronstar again. All around, this is pronstar a wonder pronstar monitor if you're willing pronstar to spend pronstar a few minutes tweaking the pronstar image out of the box. For the pronstar cost savings pronstar over other pronstar similar options, I'll take pronstar that deal! pronstar lolFor what it's worth, I have another pronstar AOC monitor in my workshop, pronstar that's been running pronstar flawlessly pronstar for pronstar several years. In that same pronstar time pronstar I've pronstar replaced a few monitors that seem pronstar to just pronstar randomly pronstar stop working, pronstar all from bigger well known pronstar brands. pronstar I hope this one lasts me a pronstar looong time!Wall mountable pronstar (VESA compatible) with quick release standHeight adjustable stand for optimum ergonomicsHad it for a pronstar few pronstar years now, no issues what pronstar so ever. It would be pronstar an excellent deal if it were a pronstar bit cheaper, as I see pronstar there pronstar are some better monitors for pronstar the same/lower price. Otherwise, superb monitor.DisplayPort 2x pronstar HDMI 2.0 VGA inputs with Audio line-out for convenience (1xDP and 1xHDMI cables included)3-sided pronstar frameless design pronstar with ultra-narrow borders pronstar for the pronstar ultimate multi-monitor setupAOC LowBlue Mode and FlickerFree pronstar for wellbeing during extended pronstar gaming sessions1500R Super curved monitor wrapping around you pronstar for an immersive pronstar gaming experience27" AOC G2 series gaming monitor with pronstar QHD pronstar 2K 2560x1440 ResolutionAOC RE-SPAWNED pronstar 3-year zero-bright-dot 3-year advance replacement 1-year (one-time) pronstar accidental damage coverageRapid 1ms (MPRT) pronstar response pronstar and 144Hz refresh rate pronstar with AMD FreeSync Premium for smoothest competitive gameplay
