What is rasmika xxx Belkin F8J212btWHT 3.5mm Audio + Charging Rockstar (iPhone Aux Adapter) gift for dad?

Uncompromised Audio Quality: The 3.5mm to lightning adapter rasmika xxx plus Charge rasmika xxx RockStar is certified to meet Apple rasmika xxx specifications, and uniquely designed rasmika xxx to ensure rasmika xxx full audio quality. Also supports remote rasmika xxx control and microphone from MFi certified 3.5 millimeter rasmika xxx headphones.Tried Several; Best I could Find. Still, 4 rasmika xxx out of rasmika xxx 5 Stars (maybe 3.5 rasmika xxx out of 5)I dont want the title of rasmika xxx this review rasmika xxx to seem like hyperbole. rasmika xxx When rasmika xxx I said I tried several, I mostly tried those rasmika xxx splitters that rasmika xxx had this Y shape to it and costed about $15ish dollars. Ive also seen several like this Belkin product that have this box-shaped connection point, but I opted to purchase the Belkin since rasmika xxx I had heard of rasmika xxx this brand. While rasmika xxx its one of the rasmika xxx more rasmika xxx expensive models rasmika xxx at $35, rasmika xxx I actually purchased two of them on blind faith and kept my fingers crossed. I rasmika xxx made this purchase back in October 2021 and have put rasmika xxx both through about 150 hours of use before writing this review.WHY DID I rasmika xxx NEED rasmika xxx THIS rasmika xxx PRODUCTWell, nowadays, rasmika xxx flagship phones are discontinuing the inclusion of the 3.5mm headphone jack. And I like rasmika xxx to stream music using my phone (I rasmika xxx subscribe to Amazon Prime HD). Sometimes, Ill rasmika xxx stream rasmika xxx music while working at my desk rasmika xxx (we are still rasmika xxx working remotely in rasmika xxx light of the pandemic) and listen rasmika xxx to my playlists using my mediocre, wired rasmika xxx earbuds. Sometimes, rasmika xxx Ill stream music while rasmika xxx driving and will pipe those rasmika xxx songs over my cars enhanced rasmika xxx speaker system (via the AUX rasmika xxx port). As a quick aside, there are rasmika xxx two ways to output rasmika xxx music. You can either do rasmika xxx it via a 3.5mm audio cable rasmika xxx (lets call this wired rasmika xxx output, which is rasmika xxx preferred). Or you can rasmika xxx do it rasmika xxx wirelessly, which we know rasmika xxx as Bluetooth. However, rasmika xxx there rasmika xxx is rasmika xxx a huge difference in musical clarity between these two, and audiophiles will tell you rasmika xxx that rasmika xxx wired output rasmika xxx is really the only way to go.So, to output music rasmika xxx via rasmika xxx the 3.5mm audio cable, I need to use rasmika xxx an rasmika xxx OTG adapter (plenty of rasmika xxx these sold on Amazon look one up for reference). One rasmika xxx end rasmika xxx of the rasmika xxx OTG adapter has a rasmika xxx USB-C male prong that youd insert into your rasmika xxx phones USB-C port. rasmika xxx The other end of the OTG adapter has a rasmika xxx female port where you can insert rasmika xxx a rasmika xxx 3.5mm rasmika xxx audio cable. This rasmika xxx 3.5mm audio rasmika xxx cable rasmika xxx could be rasmika xxx either part of your earphone apparatus (earbuds on one rasmika xxx end / 3.5mm rasmika xxx male jack rasmika xxx on the rasmika xxx other) OR rasmika xxx it could be a 3.5mm audio rasmika xxx cable that you plug into the AUX port (in your car).As I rasmika xxx write this outboy, this is certainly more complicated than it rasmika xxx sounds.Anyway, heres rasmika xxx the problem. If the rasmika xxx OTG adapter is occupying rasmika xxx the rasmika xxx phones USB-C rasmika xxx port rasmika xxx to play music, how then do you charge your rasmika xxx phone Well, rasmika xxx thats what these nifty splitters do! Its like an OTG cable with an added port rasmika xxx to allow you to charge your rasmika xxx phone battery while simultaneously streaming music (via wired rasmika xxx output). Great idea!USING THIS AT rasmika xxx HOMELet me rasmika xxx talk about using rasmika xxx this Belkin adapter rasmika xxx at home / by my rasmika xxx work desk because rasmika xxx this will be easy. At home and rasmika xxx during rasmika xxx this rasmika xxx testing period, Ive actually had rasmika xxx no rasmika xxx issues rasmika xxx to speak rasmika xxx of. rasmika xxx It works as advertised. My rasmika xxx Android (which rasmika xxx is manufactured by LG) phone charges, and I can stream/ listen to my hi-res tunes for rasmika xxx hours on end. In this set up, I give rasmika xxx it 5 rasmika xxx out of 5 stars. It works rasmika xxx just as rasmika xxx I hoped rasmika xxx it would!USING THIS IN THE CARThis has oddly been more rasmika xxx hit or miss. rasmika xxx On rasmika xxx occasion, the splitter disconnected (stopped working the way it rasmika xxx is rasmika xxx supposed to) on me a dozen times during those 150 hours. When rasmika xxx I say disconnected, I mean that while rasmika xxx the charger rasmika xxx connection rasmika xxx was still rasmika xxx working (I could see the lightning bolt icon appear on my rasmika xxx phone), rasmika xxx the sound connection stopped rasmika xxx working. So instead of music being piped through my cars rasmika xxx enhanced rasmika xxx sound system, the music was instead just coming out of my phones tiny speakers. Why did that rasmika xxx happen Im not rasmika xxx sure. The only rasmika xxx differences that I can think of rasmika xxx between rasmika xxx using this rasmika xxx at home and using this rasmika xxx in the car could be: Vibrations from driving might be affecting how tight the Belkin remains rasmika xxx attached to rasmika xxx the rasmika xxx phones rasmika xxx USB-C rasmika xxx port. For rasmika xxx power at home, Im using the wall outlet. For power rasmika xxx in rasmika xxx the car, its using the rasmika xxx cigarette adapter. rasmika xxx Maybe how the splitter is receiving power rasmika xxx might have something to do with it. When driving, maybe Im losing wifi connection momentarily thats somehow causing this rasmika xxx disconnection. These, of course, rasmika xxx are all guesses. But what rasmika xxx makes the disconnection issue rasmika xxx frustrating is that once the Belkin rasmika xxx disconnects, I rasmika xxx cant figure out rasmika xxx how to quickly reboot the connection and to rasmika xxx get the music to pipe out of my cars speakers rasmika xxx again. It continues to play from rasmika xxx my rasmika xxx phones speakers. rasmika xxx Ive tried rasmika xxx to turn off and then on rasmika xxx the phone, but that didnt work. The rasmika xxx only rasmika xxx thing that rasmika xxx has rasmika xxx worked is just letting the Belkin rasmika xxx rest (and not having it connected to rasmika xxx anything) for rasmika xxx a few hours and then it tends to work normally rasmika xxx again. BTW, could it rasmika xxx be that one of rasmika xxx the Belkins is defective rasmika xxx As I rasmika xxx had actually purchased two of them rasmika xxx (one for use in the car; one for rasmika xxx use rasmika xxx in the rasmika xxx home rasmika xxx office), I actually switched both rasmika xxx Belkin adapters. rasmika xxx But rasmika xxx the rasmika xxx same disconnect issue rasmika xxx happened again. So, just be rasmika xxx wary if rasmika xxx youre goal is rasmika xxx to use rasmika xxx this in the car.So, in the case of using it in the car, rasmika xxx I rasmika xxx give the product 3 out of 5 stars. This product is certainly better rasmika xxx than any of rasmika xxx those rasmika xxx Y splitters. Those cheapo Y splitters didnt latch on to the USB-C port snugly and they rasmika xxx also inexplicably heated rasmika xxx up. rasmika xxx That said , rasmika xxx I dont want rasmika xxx to continue trapsing through rasmika xxx the Amazon wilderness rasmika xxx on the hunt for rasmika xxx that rasmika xxx elusive 5-star product.Oh, rasmika xxx one rasmika xxx more rasmika xxx item as it relates to rasmika xxx what Android phone youre rasmika xxx using. As I rasmika xxx mentioned, rasmika xxx I use rasmika xxx an LG and the splitter does work. rasmika xxx I tried this using my friends Samsung rasmika xxx Flip Z3 and the splitter did rasmika xxx work (so Im assuming that all rasmika xxx Samsungs rasmika xxx will be able to talk to the splitter. But then I rasmika xxx tried rasmika xxx it rasmika xxx with rasmika xxx my other friends One Plus Pro rasmika xxx 9. rasmika xxx And, that did rasmika xxx NOT work. So, thats rasmika xxx likely a One Plus rasmika xxx hardware rasmika xxx issue of some rasmika xxx kind, but I would think then that this Belkin will not talk to any One rasmika xxx Plus phone (youll have to test this out for yourself if you own that brand).Anyway, lets rasmika xxx really say 3.5 rasmika xxx stars, but we rasmika xxx can be generous and rasmika xxx round it up to 4.The Belkin difference: rasmika xxx Pioneer in technology rasmika xxx and innovation for over 35 yearsCertified: Made For iPhone MFi rasmika xxx certification means this accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPhone, rasmika xxx and has been rasmika xxx certified to meet Apple specifications.Apple took away the rasmika xxx headphone port, but sold me a lightning to 3.5 adapter so I rasmika xxx could use my wired buds with my iPhone rasmika xxx 13 Pro. rasmika xxx Imagine rasmika xxx my disappointment rasmika xxx when my battery ran low while rasmika xxx I was listening to rasmika xxx a favorite playlist rasmika xxx and I needed to unplug my buds to re-juice the phone!I rasmika xxx checked Amazon for a solution and found several adapters that rasmika xxx split from lightning to rasmika xxx a 3.5 and a lightning rasmika xxx charge port, most of them quite similar, pledging that they were MFI certified and compatible rasmika xxx with my phone. All around rasmika xxx 10 bucks each; I selected rasmika xxx three different vendors rasmika xxx and bought one rasmika xxx from each. Despite rasmika xxx slight differences in their pictures rasmika xxx on Amazon, all of them were the same when they arrived. Two of them failed to work with my earbuds rasmika xxx right rasmika xxx from the start. The rasmika xxx third worked fine with my earbuds until rasmika xxx I plugged in rasmika xxx the charger at rasmika xxx the rasmika xxx same time rasmika xxx and the audio became very static-y. Thankfully, the next rasmika xxx time I tried rasmika xxx them rasmika xxx the static rasmika xxx was gone, rasmika xxx but sadly so was the audio. I started to think this golden unicorn adapter I needed was a donkey with a taped on paper horn.Weeks rasmika xxx later Im on a 4 hour drive along country roads and rasmika xxx digging rasmika xxx the music that Im playing from my phone, with Apples adapter into a rasmika xxx double male 3.5mm rasmika xxx cable into my rasmika xxx trucks audio rasmika xxx in port. Good times! Until the phone battery runs low and Im about to lose my map app.I get home after having rasmika xxx to rasmika xxx listen to myself sing for 45 minutes. Fortunately no passengers, so I only had to endure rasmika xxx myself. Still enough reason rasmika xxx to rasmika xxx re-approach rasmika xxx Amazon to rasmika xxx see if they have any of rasmika xxx these adapters that rasmika xxx will actually work. rasmika xxx I rasmika xxx spotted this rasmika xxx unit rasmika xxx from Belkin for just around rasmika xxx $35 and thought so this is rasmika xxx what the phrase good rasmika xxx money after bad rasmika xxx means. And yet, I couldnt stop myself. This Belkin adapter arrived in rasmika xxx an Amazon bubble mailer promptly rasmika xxx (two days) after ordering. Inside rasmika xxx the mailer was rasmika xxx a sealed rasmika xxx plastic bag with the adapter, rasmika xxx but no commercial packaging. The adapter rasmika xxx itself had rasmika xxx a black greasy smudge (repackaged rasmika xxx defective return), but rasmika xxx looked otherwise new and Im happy to report it performed exactly as Id rasmika xxx hoped when I tested rasmika xxx it. Good clear sound through rasmika xxx the trucks sound rasmika xxx system while rasmika xxx charging at what seems rasmika xxx to be a normal rasmika xxx rate. This is the one that works!I rasmika xxx didnt want to spend over $30 on this, but after buying rasmika xxx two other cheap headphone-charging splitters and both not rasmika xxx working, I can say its worth the rasmika xxx money thus rasmika xxx far. Audio sounds very clear. When I rasmika xxx first plugged rasmika xxx it into my iPhone rasmika xxx 13, a rasmika xxx text box rasmika xxx popped up asking if this rasmika xxx was going rasmika xxx to be used for headphones rasmika xxx and once I said yes rasmika xxx it worked immediately. Charging seems rasmika xxx normal and as fast as it would be without using this splitter - rasmika xxx although I rasmika xxx havent timed it, rasmika xxx I just rasmika xxx dont notice any obvious delays.Like I said, I didnt want to spend the $30 on rasmika xxx this, but its better than buying a rasmika xxx cheap one and rasmika xxx only have it work for a couple months before buying another. I will update if the audio goes out like rasmika xxx the cheap ones, but rasmika xxx the audio rasmika xxx definitely sounds better than the cheap ones, so I hope it wont go out any time soon!Dual Functionality: Power your rasmika xxx iPhone and listen to music at rasmika xxx the same time. The 2 in 1 rasmika xxx 3.5mm to lightning adapter rasmika xxx feature allows you rasmika xxx to plug rasmika xxx in rasmika xxx headphones rasmika xxx or auxiliary cable while charging your rasmika xxx phone unlike other headphone jacks on the market.Strong & Lightweight Design: Flexible rasmika xxx TPE rasmika xxx strain relief has been tested to withstand over 5000+ cycles rasmika xxx of rasmika xxx 180 rasmika xxx degree cable bending. Perfect companion for traveling and made to last.Compatibility: rasmika xxx Designed for iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, X, 8/8 Plus, rasmika xxx 7/7 Plus or any iPhone without aux input or headphone jack so you can still utilize wired rasmika xxx headphones or speakers that rasmika xxx don't have rasmika xxx bluetooth capabilities.
