What is obermeyer kids Canon imageCLASS MF236n Monochrome (Black & White) Laser All-in-One Printer Choice of different styles?

Prints up to 24 pages per minute (ppm) in obermeyer kids mono.I was browsing color printers with wireless LAN and thought that was what I ordered. If I'd ordered a black and white printer then I would obermeyer kids be ok, but I obermeyer kids am obermeyer kids not.As a black and white printer, it is okay. obermeyer kids It doesn't hold obermeyer kids much paper. The paper slot isn't obermeyer kids exact so you have to play obermeyer kids with the paper when you insert it for the sensor to pick up on it. It is overpriced for what obermeyer kids it does.Great printer / copier / fax obermeyer kids / scannerSupports mobile, USB 2.0 and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connections for hassle-free printing.Scanner obermeyer kids resolution obermeyer kids of up to 600 x 600 dpi for obermeyer kids readable soft copies.Speed through high-volume print and copy tasks with this Canon imageCLASS monochrome all-in-one laser obermeyer kids printer. Support for obermeyer kids mobile, network and Ethernet connections facilitate obermeyer kids fast and reliable connectivity, while the tiltable LCD touchscreen obermeyer kids enables intuitive navigation. With a printing speed of up to 24 obermeyer kids ppm, this printer helps obermeyer kids enhance work productivity. obermeyer kids This Canon imageCLASS monochrome all-in-one laser printer features robust paper handling options to meet your obermeyer kids team's obermeyer kids various requirements.I got obermeyer kids close to obermeyer kids boxing it up and sending obermeyer kids it back. But I believe I managed to get the installation done.1. The manual obermeyer kids is obermeyer kids actually a obermeyer kids composite for obermeyer kids 3 different models which makes it tough obermeyer kids to follow obermeyer kids along. One of the 3 models obermeyer kids supports wireless lan but this printer does not so WHY obermeyer kids is obermeyer kids that crap obermeyer kids in the obermeyer kids manual at all2. Many people obermeyer kids complain because the printer doesn't come with a USB cable obermeyer kids nor an RJ45 network cable. I expected obermeyer kids that by reading reviews prior to ordering but since obermeyer kids I have an existing HP officejet obermeyer kids (that is what the Canon is obermeyer kids replacing) I thought I would obermeyer kids just obermeyer kids use obermeyer kids that cable. That obermeyer kids proved to be yet one more stumbling obermeyer kids block. Canon, WTF! stick obermeyer kids a GD cable in the box!Installation obermeyer kids with printer on LAN network: I actually obermeyer kids bought it to be a networked obermeyer kids printer obermeyer kids so obermeyer kids I first thing I connected it to my router with obermeyer kids RJ45 cable. I downloaded obermeyer kids the installation software (MF230SeriesMFDriverV520WPusEN.exe) rather obermeyer kids than trying to start with the CD in the box. The second obermeyer kids or obermeyer kids third time trying the install software and it found obermeyer kids the printer on the obermeyer kids network. It seems like chicken and egg problem obermeyer kids whether the obermeyer kids sofrware obermeyer kids is obermeyer kids installed before connecting the printer and obermeyer kids turning it on, but whatever, it took about 15 minutes and I obermeyer kids was beginning obermeyer kids to be hopeful. obermeyer kids Ok, I obermeyer kids could print to the obermeyer kids printer from my laptop. Seemed to easy. Then I obermeyer kids went obermeyer kids and got the scanner software (winmfscanutilityv11000.exe) and installed it obermeyer kids but it complained about not seeing the obermeyer kids printer. And obermeyer kids after far too much obermeyer kids fooling around trying to get scanner to work I decided that maybe the scanner software only obermeyer kids works obermeyer kids when obermeyer kids using the USB cable.Installation with printer obermeyer kids connected obermeyer kids by obermeyer kids USB to my laptop: Hours of frustration obermeyer kids trying to get obermeyer kids the sofrware obermeyer kids installed. obermeyer kids Went to obermeyer kids the canon forums and found postings talking about the issue obermeyer kids "Scan obermeyer kids Utility A Scanner obermeyer kids Driver Supporting This Software Is Not Installed". Long story short obermeyer kids - obermeyer kids at some obermeyer kids point just before obermeyer kids I boxed it up to send obermeyer kids it back obermeyer kids I thought maybe I should try obermeyer kids a different USB cable. It obermeyer kids was a working obermeyer kids cable but I dug into old obermeyer kids boxes obermeyer kids to see obermeyer kids if I obermeyer kids had another cable. So after switching USB cables, I uninstalled all obermeyer kids the printer obermeyer kids software, rebooted and then ran the obermeyer kids install. This obermeyer kids time it installed using obermeyer kids plug obermeyer kids and obermeyer kids play (which it obermeyer kids hadn't done before) obermeyer kids and obermeyer kids so the scanner software worked. obermeyer kids Again, Canon, obermeyer kids I hate you for not putting a obermeyer kids USB cable in the box. Grrrr.Other negative comments is that the obermeyer kids paper obermeyer kids bin has a strange cover obermeyer kids and even just getting paper loaded the first time obermeyer kids was unnecessarily awkward to obermeyer kids figure out and the manual was no obermeyer kids help obermeyer kids at all. There are obermeyer kids two yellow obermeyer kids plastic obermeyer kids things on the toner cartridge and obermeyer kids the manual shows removing only one of them. Both obermeyer kids must be removed so obermeyer kids again, the manual was misleading and not helpful.By the way, I am using NAPS2 scanner obermeyer kids utility which obermeyer kids is simpler to use than the obermeyer kids Canon scanner utility. It worked on they HP printer and I'm happy to find obermeyer kids it works on the obermeyer kids Canon. There were mixed reviews obermeyer kids regrading how noisy obermeyer kids the printer was. There obermeyer kids is obermeyer kids a button obermeyer kids on the printer console labeled "Quiet Mode". With quiet mode off the obermeyer kids printer obermeyer kids makes a sort of hi pitched obermeyer kids whine which obermeyer kids I think is too loud but the printer runs fastest that way. With quiet mode obermeyer kids on the printer is nicely quiet obermeyer kids and honestly I didn't perceive much of a slow down. I obermeyer kids bet the time difference obermeyer kids to print 100 obermeyer kids pages would be less than one additional minute. I can sure live with small delay to obermeyer kids enjoy the quiet obermeyer kids mode.Print obermeyer kids quality: Fine for BW obermeyer kids documents. The scanner obermeyer kids scans in color. obermeyer kids The printers gray scale conversion obermeyer kids of color pdf obermeyer kids files isn't to my liking yet. I'm experimenting with the obermeyer kids settings to darken the lightest parts but it obermeyer kids does do obermeyer kids a good enough job on the darker obermeyer kids colors.Up to 600 obermeyer kids x 600 dpi print and copy resolution for professional-quality obermeyer kids documents.I bought obermeyer kids this copier obermeyer kids for my home obermeyer kids office, to replace obermeyer kids our Canon ImageCLASS D761 obermeyer kids (2006) that died. I specifically obermeyer kids wanted a copier that could connect obermeyer kids to Windows XP (we still use that) as a laser obermeyer kids printer. The price obermeyer kids for the MF236n copier was more obermeyer kids than obermeyer kids reasonable... obermeyer kids we really obermeyer kids don't print that obermeyer kids much stuff these days, as most documents obermeyer kids are digital. So obermeyer kids far, my impressions are obermeyer kids as follows:1. obermeyer kids This obermeyer kids machine obermeyer kids REALLY obermeyer kids smells when obermeyer kids you first fire it obermeyer kids up. A obermeyer kids very noxious chemical odor. The smell obermeyer kids has diminished with time and repeated use.2. Our obermeyer kids previous Canon copiers were built like tanks... obermeyer kids heavy and durable. This one seems delicate, even a bit flimsy, by comparison. obermeyer kids Lots of thin obermeyer kids and very obermeyer kids light-weight plastic.3. This unit obermeyer kids is much smaller obermeyer kids than obermeyer kids our obermeyer kids D761, and does not copy legal obermeyer kids size documents. You can obermeyer kids print onto legal size paper, but not copy anything much larger than a letter size obermeyer kids document.4. The individual sheet feeder is funky and hard obermeyer kids to obermeyer kids use. I much more prefer the obermeyer kids tray sheet feeder that was on my old copier.5. My old D761 obermeyer kids was simple to use... press the green button and make a obermeyer kids copy. Adjust obermeyer kids contrast obermeyer kids and enlargement/reduction with obermeyer kids intuitive buttons. This new copier is obermeyer kids all obermeyer kids digital display with touch-screen input. Even after obermeyer kids reading obermeyer kids the manual, it's hard to obermeyer kids figure obermeyer kids out how to make it do obermeyer kids what obermeyer kids you want obermeyer kids it to do.Overall, a decent obermeyer kids and very affordable, compact (two-thirds the size of the old copier) photocopier/laser obermeyer kids printer for relatively obermeyer kids light duty obermeyer kids (home and home office) obermeyer kids use.[Our first obermeyer kids desktop obermeyer kids Canon copier, circa 1988, cost $ 2,500; the ImageCLASS D761 obermeyer kids (2006) obermeyer kids cost $ 400; obermeyer kids so $ 190 for this copier is more than reasonable]
