What is xxx six UGREEN USB 3.0 Switch Option 4 Port 2 Adapter for Computer Computer Printer Adapter Hub to grandpa?

USB xxx six 3.0 Switch Selector: UGREEN USB 3.0 switch allows up to 2 users to xxx six share 4 xxx six USB 3.0 peripheral devices, such as printer, scanner, mouse, xxx six keyboard, USB xxx six disk, etc. Without constantly xxx six swapping cables or setting up complicated network sharing software, xxx six It's a good xxx six choice if you have multiple PCs or Macs.I did a fair bit of research to find what I was looking for. xxx six Super easy to set up. USB 3.0 connections, not 2.0. Switches seamlessly xxx six between my 2 xxx six PC's. I use it to xxx six switch mouse and keyboard. Great price. Two xxx six complaints... I would have preferred metal casing. This one xxx six is poly-carbonate. Not a deal-breaker. xxx six I just xxx six prefer metal cases. xxx six And.. xxx six sadly made xxx six in xxx six China. I was looking xxx six for one from Taiwan or just about anywhere else. Would I buy xxx six again Yes.Multiple xxx six Device Sharing: The xxx six USB switcher allows you to share multiple devices xxx six such as printers, scanners, mouse, xxx six keyboard, card xxx six reader,u disk, xxx six and other USB devices xxx six between 2 computers.More Stable Connection: USB 3.0 switch with a xxx six separate micro USB xxx six female port for option power, which optimizes its compatibility with more xxx six devices, such as HDD, Digital Video xxx six Cameras, xxx six SSD, etc. Important Note: Please xxx six use xxx six Standard xxx six 5V xxx six Adapter(Not xxx six Included, sold separately) xxx six for powering. Any charger with higher voltage output is Not allowed and xxx six may xxx six affect the product performance.I've been using this xxx six switch box for over two years and I xxx six really xxx six liked it. I've only xxx six had 2 issues xxx six with it:1. If you're using a Mechanical xxx six Keyboard with RGB lighting, you'll need to give this switch power through its microUSB port. When I did xxx six this, the microUSB cable xxx six was incredibly xxx six noisy. My speakers were picking xxx six up interference. I repositioned xxx six the cable, so it was nowhere near the xxx six speaker wires and the xxx six problem went away.2. For some reason specific to xxx six Windows xxx six and Kensington Orbit Fusion xxx six trackball, I xxx six had issues with xxx six the trackball being jittery and dropping out xxx six at time. If xxx six I plugged the xxx six trackball directly into the laptop, then it xxx six worked xxx six fine.Other than those xxx six 2 minor issues, it's been great. xxx six I have it mounted under my desk with 2 Command strips xxx six and push the button xxx six as needed to xxx six switch between my xxx six work xxx six laptop and my home Mac.Setup: Windows PC, M1 Mac, 1 xxx six MonitorYes, this DOES work on the new M1 MacBook, but you xxx six cannot xxx six use just any xxx six cable (don't use xxx six a USB C cable). Take one xxx six of xxx six the USB-A to USB-A cables xxx six that come with xxx six the switch. Attach a USB A to USB xxx six C adapter to one end. Attach that end xxx six to the Mac. xxx six This is xxx six the only way to use xxx six this xxx six switch without buying an expensive dock or thunderbolt cable for some xxx six reason. I luckily had an old adapter lying around from a xxx six previous purchase. If you xxx six use the xxx six HDMI xxx six port xxx six on xxx six the right xxx six side like I xxx six do, you will buy a longer USB A to xxx six USB A cable xxx six to move the switches cable to the left.A micro USB power xxx six cable xxx six and wall charger might be needed to xxx six power the switch if you xxx six disconnect xxx six your pc (MacBook doesn't seem to be able to keep the switch powered on, only pc does). It has a simple xxx six and minimal size design which doesn't xxx six clutter your desk. It's very light so expect xxx six the cable weight xxx six to move it. xxx six I used double contact tape to keep it in place.I xxx six got this instead of xxx six a KVM xxx six switch xxx six because I kept finding xxx six reviews that stated USB cameras don't necessarily work well with xxx six KVMs.This USB Hub was plug xxx six and play and had no xxx six issue with it. Definitely recommend it.One-Botton Switch: Button xxx six and LED design, you can easily xxx six switch between systems via push buttons with LED indicating the active computer within one second.I have xxx six my keyboard, xxx six macropad, microphone, and webcam all routed through xxx six this xxx six KVM to xxx six simplify my work xxx six from xxx six home setup. I was worried that since it xxx six did xxx six not xxx six come with xxx six a xxx six power adapter that I'd have to come up with one myself, but thankfully everything is working xxx six without a power source. Regarding that, the USB xxx six power input is xxx six micro-USB which is annoying... USB xxx six C came out xxx six like 8 years ago, come on!Otherwise, with the push of a button xxx six I can swap xxx six all of my peripherals between my work machine and gaming PC. xxx six The only issue I've noticed is that keyboard/mouse xxx six movements no longer wake up my machines, xxx six but xxx six that's not a huge deal.I have only been xxx six using xxx six this switch for xxx six two weeks, but so far, it xxx six has xxx six worked out very well. xxx six I was about to buy another ergonomic keyboard for xxx six my two separate xxx six computers, but when I came across xxx six the idea of using a switch to share the xxx six mouse and keyboard with two computers, it was the perfect xxx six solution. xxx six Switching from one xxx six computer to xxx six the other xxx six is quite simple...just click xxx six the button on the switch. There is a very small xxx six light showing what computer you are on, but that light is so xxx six hard to xxx six see, it's almost ridiculous that they even xxx six had xxx six it, since you can't see it. xxx six I don't rely on xxx six the xxx six light to know what computer I am on. I simply move the mouse and when I see the pointer, xxx six I know what computer I am on. xxx six That xxx six works out xxx six fine for me. There is maybe a second xxx six or two delay switching from xxx six one computer xxx six to xxx six the other, xxx six but xxx six otherwise I see xxx six no other issues. I hope xxx six the switch lasts. Too early to tell. I would absolutely recommend this.Update: xxx six 12/2/2021I xxx six have been using this switch for nearly 3 years, switching xxx six between xxx six personal and work computers every single weekday, sometimes xxx six multiple times a day in that time, as well as moving it to a xxx six new xxx six desk setup, and xxx six it has worked and continues to work xxx six flawlessly. xxx six I am very pleased with this device and cannot xxx six recommend it highly xxx six enough, even if it xxx six were xxx six to fail tomorrow.Original Review:I set up a docking station for my xxx six work xxx six laptop xxx six at my home office desk xxx six where I also use my xxx six personal computer. I quickly realized that xxx six swapping USB adapters for mouse and xxx six keyboard every time I wanted to switch between work and personal xxx six computers was a xxx six hassle and xxx six unnecessary wear and tear xxx six on the ports. xxx six Once I also realized that the xxx six built-in xxx six DAC in my work xxx six laptop was garbage when xxx six I xxx six was trying to listen to some music on Pandora while I worked, I decided to look for xxx six a xxx six USB switch and came xxx six across this one.I am happy to report that the xxx six UGREEN USB 3.0 switch works almost perfectly with my setup. I have it connected to my personal computer and my xxx six laptop xxx six dock. Plugged into the front, I have my mouse adapter, wired keyboard, xxx six and a standalone xxx six DAC. I even used the 4th xxx six USB port for another keyboard adapter xxx six so that I can use my wireless xxx six keyboard from my couch when I want to xxx six switch the computer display over to xxx six my TV, and this works great as well.Pressing the xxx six button on top of the UGREEN xxx six unit quickly switches control from one computer to xxx six another with xxx six no delay. A small, xxx six non-intrusive blue LED xxx six indicates which computer xxx six is active. Mouse, keyboard, and the audio DAC all immediately work xxx six correctly on the selected computer. The only thing that I sometimes have issues with is if xxx six the xxx six computer xxx six I am switching to xxx six is asleep. In that case, moving the mouse xxx six or pushing a key on the keyboard does xxx six not wake up the computer like it normally would, and I have to xxx six press the power button on the computer to wake it up. I'm not sure why this happens but xxx six it seems like xxx six if the USB xxx six connection was not active when the xxx six computer was xxx six put to sleep, it does not make the xxx six connection xxx six until it is xxx six manually xxx six woken up. I have checked in my power settings to make xxx six sure that xxx six USB ports are not xxx six turned xxx six off when xxx six the computer is asleep, as this would be an xxx six obvious cause xxx six for xxx six the issue, xxx six but xxx six that is not the xxx six case. This is a xxx six minor inconvenience xxx six since my personal computer xxx six and dock power xxx six buttons are both easily xxx six accessible, but would be nice if it worked. The UGREEN unit is quite small and xxx six sits inconspicuously on my desk on top xxx six of my audio mixer. To xxx six keep the xxx six cables managed cleanly I do have to make xxx six a 180 degree xxx six bend xxx six with my two xxx six wired connections (keyboard and DAC) to route the cables back behind the switch. If xxx six I just had 4 xxx six USB adapters xxx six plugged in, that wouldn't be an issue. The only way to xxx six fix this xxx six would xxx six be to have all the ports xxx six on the back, and xxx six then the unit xxx six would have to be larger xxx six in size to accommodate 6 xxx six ports on one side instead of 4.The switch is very xxx six lightweight xxx six (which means stiff cords sometimes lift it so it doesn't sit flat) and has xxx six a cheap feeling plastic housing with no mounting provision if you wanted xxx six to attach xxx six it to xxx six something, but these xxx six are minor complaints as it works well enough. It appears you can xxx six power the switch with xxx six micro USB xxx six if your devices require a lot xxx six of power (if you were xxx six wanting to charge something via USB xxx six for example), but even with the backlit keyboard I xxx six am xxx six using, I do xxx six not have this switch xxx six connected to power, and it and xxx six my devices work just fine.Overall I am happy with the UGREEN USB xxx six 3.0 switch. If it were able xxx six to always make xxx six a connection xxx six with xxx six a computer that is asleep xxx six when xxx six switched to, xxx six I would be even happier, xxx six but that may not even be the xxx six fault xxx six of xxx six the xxx six switch. I definitely recommend this xxx six if you are xxx six looking xxx six to xxx six share inputs xxx six between two computers without having to plug and unplug xxx six cords, dongles and adapters.Increased xxx six Work xxx six Efficiency: The keyboard mouse switch xxx six supports ultra-fast USB 3.0 data xxx six transfer rates of up to 5Gb/s (10 times xxx six faster xxx six than xxx six USB 2.0), to work flawlessly with high-bandwidth USB 3.0 devices, such as xxx six external hard xxx six disks, xxx six high-resolution webcams, camcorders, video xxx six surveillance cameras, digital video cameras, multi-channel xxx six audio and xxx six more, and is xxx six backward xxx six compatible with USB xxx six 2.0 xxx six and USB xxx six 1.1 devices.

Buyer's experience:
