What is ellie renee Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset C DTS 7.1 Surround Sound C Pro-G Audio Drivers choose this one?

Windows 10, Windows 8.1, ellie renee or Windows ellie renee 7, Mac ellie renee OS X 10.11 or laterPros:1. ellie renee Great battery life2. Relatively neutral sound profile3. Decent wireless range4. Extendable flip-up mute micCons:1. The size adjustments don't lock very tightly2. There ellie renee is ellie renee no on-board ellie renee storage for ellie renee the ellie renee programmable button on the headset3. ellie renee The volume controls are very inaccurate4. Software ellie renee battery percentage ellie renee readings are unreliableThis ellie renee headset is a great option when you can find it on at least 50% discount, otherwise buy a ellie renee different wireless ellie renee headset because ellie renee this ellie renee headset is not worth ellie renee the MSRP. I originally ellie renee considered this solely because it was part of Logitech G peripherals, meaning I can just ellie renee install ellie renee a single piece ellie renee of software to configure my Logitech ellie renee G peripherals. Since I already had a mouse from Logitech ellie renee G, ellie renee I ellie renee chose this headset. Here I'll explain more about the ellie renee Pros:After well over 2 months ellie renee of ellie renee use, the battery life of this headset lasts me for about 1 and a ellie renee half days, ellie renee assuming I fully charge it properly (we'll get to that later), which is about 16+ hours in total.I've had no issues with the sound since day 1, only needed some ellie renee small EQ tuning ellie renee in ellie renee the Logitech G hub software ellie renee to suit my needs and ellie renee the ellie renee range ellie renee of the ellie renee receiver is able to cover ellie renee most of my living ellie renee space even with ellie renee the amount of clutter in the way. But I ellie renee would've liked ellie renee if Logitech included some ellie renee ability to extend the range of the receiver ellie renee by allowing users to ellie renee add ellie renee an external antenna. ellie renee I know that some phones with built-in ellie renee FM radio can use audio cables as an antenna, and ellie renee other Logitech wireless headset receivers do have an audio jack for a different purpose, but it ellie renee would be nice if the designers thought about ellie renee this. ellie renee By all means, it ellie renee is possible to add your ellie renee own ellie renee antenna, but that requires hardware modifications and some soldering ellie renee skills, not something anybody can do.The microphone is passable for a typical ellie renee headset marketed towards gamers and the headset allows for "Sidetone" where anything picked ellie renee up by the ellie renee microphone can be ellie renee heard ellie renee in ellie renee the headset, so you're ellie renee able to hear yourself speak. The microphone has a bit ellie renee of adjustment for how far it extends, a bit of flexibility to angle the mic, and ellie renee you can rotate ellie renee the ellie renee mic a ellie renee bit. However, ellie renee the minor mic adjustments you can make are extremely limited because the ellie renee mic ellie renee isn't entirely flexible, so angling the ellie renee mic and rotating it ellie renee is a bit ellie renee limited. Here ellie renee I'll explain ellie renee more about the Cons:The size adjustments for the headphones ellie renee are too flimsy in the locking ellie renee mechanism, the loose ellie renee locking ellie renee mechanic makes ellie renee it ellie renee really hard to do any fine size adjustments to the headset ellie renee itself. The bands slide in and out ellie renee too easily when the headset is not on a head, and there is too little tactile ellie renee feedback when extending the bands to know ellie renee how far ellie renee you want ellie renee to extend ellie renee them. I ellie renee heard in ellie renee a review somewhere ellie renee that ellie renee there ellie renee are 15 individual notches of adjustment, but ellie renee in reality, I couldn't even feel them because of how easily the adjustment slips. ellie renee Thankfully ellie renee for ellie renee me, my head is ellie renee big enough for the widest adjustment ellie renee (I don't really know what the ellie renee proper term ellie renee would be) so this ellie renee doesn't bother ellie renee me that much.Above ellie renee the volume roller ellie renee on the ellie renee headset is a button ellie renee that can be ellie renee reprogrammed using ellie renee the Logitech G hub software. However, whatever you ellie renee reprogram the button ellie renee to do in G Hub would only ellie renee work if the Logitech G hub software ellie renee is running otherwise, the ellie renee button ellie renee would just ellie renee mute the mic (don't know why Logitech decided to have ellie renee this ellie renee by default considering how flipping up the microphone does the same thing).Speaking ellie renee of the volume roller, ellie renee I completely hate the volume roller on this headset because ellie renee there isn't enough ellie renee tactile ellie renee feedback ellie renee or ellie renee resistance ellie renee when turning to know ellie renee how much you've turned in one direction. ellie renee The headset will play a tone ellie renee when ellie renee you touch the roller, but ellie renee that is ellie renee barely an indication on ellie renee how ellie renee much volume was increased or decreased. Since the roller is so loose without any tactile feedback, it ellie renee is impossible ellie renee to accurately ellie renee control the volume (as someone who is picky in ellie renee the volume percentage having to ellie renee be a ellie renee multiple of 2 ellie renee or 5) ellie renee as the small ellie renee tactile feedback doesn't even correspond to how much the volume changed.Back ellie renee to my earlier point ellie renee about battery life, ellie renee the battery ellie renee life ellie renee will only last for a decent ellie renee amount of time if the battery is charged ellie renee and discharged properly. ellie renee I don't know ellie renee if this issue is specific to my unit, or it is ellie renee like ellie renee this by design, but me saying that ellie renee the battery ellie renee percentage readings in Logitech G Hub ellie renee being unreliable ellie renee would just be an ellie renee understatement. ellie renee I ellie renee completely disregard what ellie renee percentage the battery is shown ellie renee in G Hub, and end ellie renee up ellie renee only charging my ellie renee headset ellie renee when ellie renee it plays a ellie renee tone indicating low battery. Otherwise, the battery would charge up to when ellie renee the software thinks it's ellie renee at 100%, but in reality, ellie renee the battery isn't charged anywhere near its ellie renee rated capacity ellie renee and I end ellie renee up with half ellie renee as much use ellie renee per charge.Pro grade wireless audio with advanced lossless digital audio transmission ellie renee gives you incredible high fidelity sound and connection strength with up ellie renee to 15 meters ellie renee range2-year Limited hardware ellie renee warrantyPatent ellie renee pending Pro G drivers and DTS Headphone: X ellie renee 7.1 Surround Sound accurately recreate the in game environmental effects and positional audio that ellie renee game ellie renee designers intended you to hearI love this headset. ellie renee Great ellie renee sound quality and light weight. The mic ellie renee folds up out of the way when ellie renee you don't ellie renee need it and automatically mutes. If you use the Logistics Hub you will get a small notification on ellie renee the ellie renee computer screen when the ellie renee battery is low. What I don't like, is ellie renee the size ellie renee adjustment. ellie renee The ratchet is lose so that it slips out of ellie renee adjustment every time I put them on or take ellie renee them off.I would return them, ellie renee but I ellie renee really need ellie renee a ellie renee headset so bad I can't ellie renee wait ellie renee through ellie renee the ellie renee return cycle. Will I replace it with another ellie renee LG ellie renee when ellie renee I ellie renee can afford it ellie renee I don't know.High performance PC ellie renee gaming headset made with the latest ellie renee materials and manufacturing techniques is designed to be a durable ellie renee yet lightweight headset you ellie renee can wear for hoursLogitech G gaming headset for ellie renee Windows 7 and ellie renee later delivers the advanced audio performance normally found ellie renee in high end ellie renee audiophile headphones, Custom Sound Profiles settings require Logitech Gaming SoftwareRechargeable, replaceable battery with 15 hour battery life provides extended power you can rely on for non- ellie renee stop gaming ellie renee sessionsThis is ellie renee my first wireless headset so I can't comment on it's ellie renee quality in that regard. But ellie renee compared to a 40$ wired set I own the Mic is absolute garbage and the audio ellie renee quality seems about the same. Minus the surround ellie renee sound feature which, while it does work, ellie renee muddies the audio quite a bit. That 40$ set, if You're interested, is the SOMiC ellie renee G941 which I've put up a review on as ellie renee well. It's biggest issues are a vibration feature that's ellie renee better left off, the cable failed as ellie renee is ellie renee seemingly ellie renee guaranteed to happen ellie renee with any ellie renee wired headphones, and its lackluster software but at least it doesn't have the issues this headset's software has.I was ellie renee looking pretty seriously at getting ellie renee the astro A-10s before seeing ellie renee that these were on sale. Those ellie renee are probably ellie renee worth ellie renee giving a look ellie renee over these as well unless you're absolutely dead set on wireless. The mic is unbearably quiet and only barely sounds acceptable ellie renee with ellie renee mic ellie renee volume ellie renee capped ellie renee out ellie renee both through windows device management and its own software. ellie renee Given that volume can be raised with software I don't even understand how this ellie renee is ellie renee an ellie renee issue at all aside form just pure negligence and lazines ellie renee on ellie renee the producer's ellie renee part. But if you ellie renee plan ellie renee to do any recording or streaming with it know that you'll ellie renee have to drop any ellie renee additional ellie renee audio's volume to ellie renee compensate or boost your ellie renee mic volume ellie renee through a 3rd party program. ellie renee The audio quality itself on it is just generally poor. The telescopic action ellie renee on the ellie renee mic is so stiff I feel better just leaving it out, and ellie renee you have ellie renee to bend the mic towards your mouth ellie renee to ellie renee mitigate it's volume issue, and bend ellie renee it back ellie renee to ellie renee flip it ellie renee back up which does not inspire confidence ellie renee of longevity and ads ellie renee an ellie renee extra ellie renee annoying step to muting. unless ellie renee you map mic ellie renee mute ellie renee to the custom button which is ellie renee what I did since I don't intend to ellie renee use ellie renee the surround sound much.Sometimes the volume knob just ellie renee decides it ellie renee doesn't wanna work, ellie renee and ellie renee when that ellie renee happens the ellie renee only fix I've found is rebooting your PC. this has occurred ellie renee for ellie renee me ellie renee simply by messing with the software in any way. Opening and closing games, ellie renee or turning the headset itself ellie renee off ellie renee to conserve battery when I'm not ellie renee using it. Any of ellie renee these actions can seemingly arbitrarily decide to break the functionality of the volume knob until you reboot ellie renee your pc. ellie renee Turning off ellie renee and back on ellie renee the headset, or unplugging ellie renee and ellie renee plugging back in ellie renee the ellie renee receiver have no effect.Turning the volume knob comes with this obnoxious beep that you can't turn off in G-hub (the "reccomended" ellie renee software. but you can through a ellie renee different ellie renee program. I'll ellie renee go ellie renee into that in a sec). ellie renee The beep ellie renee doesn't adjust its own volume so it's not ellie renee giving you any feedback on what the volume's set to. It just tells you if you've turned it up or down ellie renee based on the tone ellie renee it makes which... you can just hear happen if you're actively ellie renee listening ellie renee to something anyways. It's needlessly annoying. The ellie renee knob also ellie renee has indexing that the inclusion of makes ellie renee the knob less precise. ellie renee It never lands ellie renee on the same number consistently ellie renee and ellie renee jumps ellie renee 4-8 numbers ellie renee per notch. I find ellie renee myself ellie renee wanting to set ellie renee the knob in the middle of an indexing notch more often than not, ellie renee if ellie renee it ellie renee simply didn't index and ellie renee was just ellie renee a smooth ellie renee rotation it would be far better. ellie renee it "feels" ellie renee good, but functionally it's a pain.About the software. ellie renee There are two sepparate softwares ellie renee for logitech gear. G-Hub, the new shiny software logitech is ellie renee pushing ellie renee on all it's stuff, and the older "Logitech Gaming Software" or LGS for short. DO NOT install G-Hub. ellie renee With ellie renee G-hub installed, A ellie renee windows process that ellie renee controls audio (called "Windows audio device graph isolation") ellie renee will absolutely ellie renee eat your processing. I saw it jump upto as ellie renee high as 20% but it ellie renee liked to sit around 10-15 most of the time. An absolute nightmare ellie renee if you wanna do ellie renee anything cpu intensive. Additionally it's outright missing ellie renee some settings. One of these, ellie renee is the setting to disable the annoying volume ellie renee knob beep. When I went to their ellie renee sight to attempt to install LGS in ellie renee place ellie renee of G-hub after seeing many recomendations to do so when looking up issues I had with the set, the websight gave me the ellie renee wrong ellie renee version of ellie renee the program, telling me it was ellie renee the ellie renee recommended version for my operating system. but when attempting to install ellie renee it it ellie renee would ellie renee give me a pop up message that said something ellie renee to the affect ellie renee of ellie renee "this version is incompatible with your OS" ellie renee because ellie renee of this I thought LGS ellie renee had just been outmoded and I ellie renee had no choice but to use G-hub for ellie renee a while. Until ellie renee I ellie renee got fed up with the insane processing ellie renee usage and checked again only to notice the version ellie renee of LGS ellie renee it was ellie renee trying to give me had a "x86" at the end, and another version ellie renee of the program ellie renee in their downloads list had the same version number, but instead had "x64" the x64 ellie renee version of the program finally installed properly, after I uninstalled G-hub, I ellie renee haven't had processing issues since, and am no longer plagued ellie renee by the volume ellie renee beep after finding ellie renee that setting ellie renee in LGS. I should note Surround ellie renee sound in LGS doubles the CPU usage from ellie renee that ellie renee same program ellie renee G-hub has cpu ellie renee issues with. But I've never seen it ellie renee go ellie renee above 1%, opposed ellie renee to G-hub's ellie renee 10-20% usage ellie renee with ellie renee all enhancements disabled.Plugging it in to your computer does ellie renee not bypass the wireless connection and switch to a wired connection, and I ellie renee find this extremely disappointing. I feel like ellie renee some quality issues could be rectified ellie renee if ellie renee this was ellie renee simply an ellie renee option, and possibly extend ellie renee the life of the battery if you chose to use wired when possible. The ellie renee wireless receiver also gets concerningly hot. Especially considering it has ellie renee to ellie renee be plugged in close to my computer's main exhaust fan. I ellie renee saw someone's post on here ellie renee that theirs melted. Based on how hot mine gets, I ellie renee wouldn't be surprised if that's relatively easy to do ellie renee on ellie renee a computer that puts out much more heat than mine does and/or in a location that has much higher temperatures over extended use. After using it ellie renee for a fair amount ellie renee of time ellie renee I can comfortably say ellie renee I do love the wireless. and the better lasts plenty ellie renee long ellie renee enough for me to use ellie renee it nearly ellie renee all day without recharging. ellie renee at least ellie renee for ellie renee now. the Battery is replaceable which is pretty ellie renee nice. ellie renee Not something you see often enough these days.

How to use Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset C DTS 7.1 Surround Sound C Pro-G Audio Drivers ?

ellie renee Logitech G533 Wireless Gaming Headset C DTS 7.1 Surround Sound C Pro-G Audio Drivers choose this one

Buyer's experience:

1: Pros:1. Great battery life2. Relatively neutral sound profile3. Decent wireless range4. Extendable flip-up mute micCons:1. The size adjustments don't lock very tightly2. There is no on-board storage for the programmable button on the headset3. The volume controls are very inaccurate4. Software battery percentage readings are unreliableThis headset is a great option when you can find it on at least 50% discount, otherwise buy a different wireless headset because this headset is not worth the MSRP. I originally considered this solely because it was part of Logitech G peripherals, meaning I can just install a single piece of software to configure my Logitech G peripherals. Since I already had a mouse from Logitech G, I chose this headset. Here I'll explain more about the Pros:After well over 2 months of use, the battery life of this headset lasts me for about 1 and a half days, assuming I fully charge it properly (we'll get to that later), which is about 16+ hours in total.I've had no issues with the sound since day 1, only needed some small EQ tuning in the Logitech G hub software to suit my needs and the range of the receiver is able to cover most of my living space even with the amount of clutter in the way. But I would've liked if Logitech included some ability to extend the range of the receiver by allowing users to add an external antenna. I know that some phones with built-in FM radio can use audio cables as an antenna, and other Logitech wireless headset receivers do have an audio jack for a different purpose, but it would be nice if the designers thought about this. By all means, it is possible to add your own antenna, but that requires hardware modifications and some soldering skills, not something anybody can do.The microphone is passable for a typical headset marketed towards gamers and the headset allows for "Sidetone" where anything picked up by the microphone can be heard in the headset, so you're able to hear yourself speak. The microphone has a bit of adjustment for how far it extends, a bit of flexibility to angle the mic, and you can rotate the mic a bit. However, the minor mic adjustments you can make are extremely limited because the mic isn't entirely flexible, so angling the mic and rotating it is a bit limited. Here I'll explain more about the Cons:The size adjustments for the headphones are too flimsy in the locking mechanism, the loose locking mechanic makes it really hard to do any fine size adjustments to the headset itself. The bands slide in and out too easily when the headset is not on a head, and there is too little tactile feedback when extending the bands to know how far you want to extend them. I heard in a review somewhere that there are 15 individual notches of adjustment, but in reality, I couldn't even feel them because of how easily the adjustment slips. Thankfully for me, my head is big enough for the widest adjustment (I don't really know what the proper term would be) so this doesn't bother me that much.Above the volume roller on the headset is a button that can be reprogrammed using the Logitech G hub software. However, whatever you reprogram the button to do in G Hub would only work if the Logitech G hub software is running otherwise, the button would just mute the mic (don't know why Logitech decided to have this by default considering how flipping up the microphone does the same thing).Speaking of the volume roller, I completely hate the volume roller on this headset because there isn't enough tactile feedback or resistance when turning to know how much you've turned in one direction. The headset will play a tone when you touch the roller, but that is barely an indication on how much volume was increased or decreased. Since the roller is so loose without any tactile feedback, it is impossible to accurately control the volume (as someone who is picky in the volume percentage having to be a multiple of 2 or 5) as the small tactile feedback doesn't even correspond to how much the volume changed.Back to my earlier point about battery life, the battery life will only last for a decent amount of time if the battery is charged and discharged properly. I don't know if this issue is specific to my unit, or it is like this by design, but me saying that the battery percentage readings in Logitech G Hub being unreliable would just be an understatement. I completely disregard what percentage the battery is shown in G Hub, and end up only charging my headset when it plays a tone indicating low battery. Otherwise, the battery would charge up to when the software thinks it's at 100%, but in reality, the battery isn't charged anywhere near its rated capacity and I end up with half as much use per charge.

2: This is my first wireless headset so I can't comment on it's quality in that regard. But compared to a 40$ wired set I own the Mic is absolute garbage and the audio quality seems about the same. Minus the surround sound feature which, while it does work, muddies the audio quite a bit. That 40$ set, if You're interested, is the SOMiC G941 which I've put up a review on as well.
