I was xxxfranais a little skeptical of going with this xxxfranais refurbished xxxfranais unit after xxxfranais reading a couple bad xxxfranais reviews for it, but after a 45 minute call with suddenlink support I am connected xxxfranais to the internet. xxxfranais They did say it took a little longer than usual to activate it on my account due to xxxfranais the modem xxxfranais being xxxfranais previously xxxfranais used by someone else but xxxfranais I xxxfranais think the extra wait time was worth the savings. I will update this review if xxxfranais I xxxfranais have xxxfranais any issues but so far everything is working as normal.3 xxxfranais products xxxfranais in 1: xxxfranais DOCSIS 3 1 Cable Modem, AC2350 xxxfranais Dual band Wi-Fi, 4 port Gigabit Router (cable xxxfranais digital xxxfranais voice xxxfranais service not supported)The Arris xxxfranais SBG8300 Router-Modem did xxxfranais everything I xxxfranais hoped it would, speed, easy xxxfranais to install and great signal. UPDATE: I had to return xxxfranais the modem/router because the power would not come on. It's a shame cause this router/modem was fast xxxfranais and connected very well. It xxxfranais is a xxxfranais good router/modem xxxfranais but maybe one xxxfranais should xxxfranais buy new just to be xxxfranais on xxxfranais the safe xxxfranais side. I wanted to be honest, it's a good, fast router/modem.Compatible with xxxfranais major xxxfranais U S Cable Internet Providers including Cox, Spectrum, Xfinity & others Cable xxxfranais internet service required Not compatible with ATT, Verizon, CenturyLink or other DSL or Fiber xxxfranais internet xxxfranais providersWave 2 AC2350 dual-band concurrent xxxfranais Wi-Fi xxxfranais Router with 4 Gigabit Ethernet portsIf you are planning on buying this to use with your Xfinity service xxxfranais save yourself xxxfranais the xxxfranais hassle and get the Netgear Nighthawk CM1100 instead, its the same price. xxxfranais Xfinity can not activate this modem with the MAC ID on the ARRIS its a known issue xxxfranais apparently.32 downstream x 8 upstream DOCSIS channels, 2 downstream x 2 upstream xxxfranais DOCSIS 3 1 xxxfranais OFDM xxxfranais channels Best for xxxfranais cable internet speed plans xxxfranais up xxxfranais to 4 xxxfranais Gbps. xxxfranais Cable internet xxxfranais service requiredSetup xxxfranais and xxxfranais manage your network with the SURFboard xxxfranais Manager xxxfranais app Add SURFboard skills to your xxxfranais Alexa network for voice management of your Wi-Fi settingsARRIS xxxfranais REFURBISHED only SBG8300-RB with part number 1000926-RBI purchased this to replace my Motorola cable modem when I was upgrading to Gig+ xxxfranais service for my cable provider.I like this one because it has a 2.5G port for the WAN connection. It xxxfranais also has a second port that is only GigE. Something I could no longer get on the Motorola. The modem was a breeze xxxfranais to get working and has performed well. xxxfranais Speeds are better xxxfranais than xxxfranais promised xxxfranais and I xxxfranais am xxxfranais quite happy with my purchase. So, it's easy to install xxxfranais and get going. The bootup process takes xxxfranais about 80 seconds. The xxxfranais only real xxxfranais issue I had xxxfranais is that xxxfranais the first xxxfranais one I got had some intermittent connectivity issue where, while it was connected to the internet, it would not always provide xxxfranais an IP address to a xxxfranais router I xxxfranais plugged xxxfranais in. It was xxxfranais inconsistent. It would be xxxfranais working fine, and xxxfranais then I'd xxxfranais have xxxfranais to xxxfranais reboot xxxfranais for something, and then for the life of xxxfranais me, I couldn't xxxfranais get it to give my router an IP. Super frustrating. It took a xxxfranais while for me to xxxfranais be relatively sure it xxxfranais was the modem xxxfranais and not the xxxfranais router. But, once it started doing it xxxfranais also on an older xxxfranais router I had which I knew xxxfranais to be rock xxxfranais solid, xxxfranais I xxxfranais called up Amazon via the support xxxfranais number xxxfranais they provided, xxxfranais and they quickly shipped xxxfranais me an xxxfranais additional refurbished xxxfranais unit. This new device worked immediately and seemed very robust xxxfranais to unplugging and xxxfranais reconnecting the ethernet or powering off and powering xxxfranais back on and still putting out IP addresses. I'm very happy. Glad it came with a xxxfranais 90 day xxxfranais warranty.I used xxxfranais this xxxfranais router to xxxfranais replace an ASUS router that xxxfranais claimed to have xxxfranais outstanding features to support parental control xxxfranais xxxfranais except that none of the features actually existed. This Arris xxxfranais router didn't make such xxxfranais claims, but even the xxxfranais ones it made xxxfranais are terrible to xxxfranais implement. The signal xxxfranais is strong throughout the house on both xxxfranais floors.I can see xxxfranais the devices that are connected, xxxfranais but the Surfboard xxxfranais isn't very good at identifying which type of device is xxxfranais connected. xxxfranais Unless you know the MAC address of the device, xxxfranais odds are you xxxfranais won't xxxfranais be able to identify it. And when you do identify it, xxxfranais you can't assign a xxxfranais label xxxfranais to it xxxfranais to help xxxfranais you remember/identify it xxxfranais again next time. If you want xxxfranais to shut down a device from xxxfranais 10PM - 7AM every xxxfranais day, that's xxxfranais impossible xxxfranais to do. You can only define a single time xxxfranais range for xxxfranais each date. You can either shut it down xxxfranais for 10-midnight or midnight-7, but not both. But even then, it doesn't work. xxxfranais I've turn xxxfranais off access from xxxfranais midnight-7, and at some other xxxfranais time during the day, xxxfranais the access xxxfranais is blocked. And after trying to xxxfranais select xxxfranais different time ranges, xxxfranais the xxxfranais only way to provide access was to completely turn off the xxxfranais filter. I thought xxxfranais maybe xxxfranais the device wanted xxxfranais me to xxxfranais convert to GMT, but that xxxfranais didn't work xxxfranais either. So that was disappointing, as it was the xxxfranais most important feature that xxxfranais I wanted from the router. But as far as I xxxfranais can tell, no router really xxxfranais implements xxxfranais parental xxxfranais control very well.Faster xxxfranais than xxxfranais all get out!!! Was xxxfranais shipped fast to!First, let me say that I was replacing a Netgear C3700 that only had 8 downstream channels, and was starting to give out after about 6 years of use. xxxfranais This refurbished xxxfranais ARRIS SB-8200 arrived in a solid box with all cables, xxxfranais and looked like new. The only issue I had xxxfranais was getting the xxxfranais modem to get through xxxfranais setup. The first xxxfranais few times I xxxfranais plugged it in, it wouldn't xxxfranais boot xxxfranais up to where all the lights xxxfranais were illuminated and showed ready. Eventually, maybe xxxfranais 4th time I plugged it in, xxxfranais it booted up successfully and haven't had any xxxfranais issues.I'm subscribed to the 300mbps plan with my xxxfranais ISP, and even xxxfranais when hardwired to my old xxxfranais modem/router, I xxxfranais was only getting mbps in the 90s. With the ARRIS, xxxfranais I'm showing xxxfranais between 340 - 350mbps consistently, and that's xxxfranais on my xxxfranais Wi-Fi! Now remember that this xxxfranais is just a modem, and you xxxfranais will need xxxfranais a router. I sprung for a mesh system, which is probably why I'm showing such xxxfranais a great xxxfranais signal on Wi-Fi, but it's xxxfranais clear xxxfranais that xxxfranais the modem is pushing what it's supposed to be pushing and capable of so much more. xxxfranais I won't have to upgrade the xxxfranais router if we choose to upgrade our speeds. Definitely xxxfranais recommend. For xxxfranais $100, you're not gonna xxxfranais beat it.

Buyer's experience:

1: First, let me say that I was replacing a Netgear C3700 that only had 8 downstream channels, and was starting to give out after about 6 years of use. This refurbished ARRIS SB-8200 arrived in a solid box with all cables, and looked like new. The only issue I had was getting the modem to get through setup.
