What is office xxx NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub; Office Ethernet Splitter; Plug-and-Play; Silent Operation Desktop or Wall Mount to grandma?
Supports desktop or wall mount placementVery simple to office xxx use, this office xxx model requires no configuration, office xxx just plug and play. No issues or complaints whatsoever, office xxx this is a heck of office xxx a deal for an 8 office xxx port office xxx switch for office xxx under $20!!! Just buy it if you need a a simple 8 office xxx port switch.Simple plug-and-play setup with no software to install or configuration needed8 Gigabit Ethernet portsSilent operation ideal office xxx for noise sensitive environment Jumbo office xxx frame support 9,720 bytesIndustry-leading office xxx 3-year limited office xxx hardware warrantyThis is my office xxx second unit and I am office xxx happy with both. They are well office xxx built and office xxx they office xxx are office xxx quite reliable. I office xxx purchased my office xxx first office xxx one about two office xxx years ago office xxx and it office xxx never office xxx failed me, office xxx so office xxx when my needs evolved, I bought a second office xxx one. The only thing I do not like is the fact office xxx that the office xxx ports (with their corresponding lights) face office xxx forward. This feature makes it convenient to connect the network cables, but they do not office xxx look neat office xxx if the unit is office xxx placed on office xxx a shelf since the cables office xxx need to be office xxx bent office xxx and run over the unit office xxx towards office xxx the back if you office xxx do not want them to hang from the front. Other models have the ports on office xxx the back and the lights office xxx on the front, but they are more expensive, so I office xxx chose office xxx this one office xxx instead.I had office xxx a linksys office xxx switch for a while got the office xxx job done for a while office xxx but then each time I try to do anything intense office xxx it would slow to much I office xxx did office xxx a speed test it was 89 now with the new one office xxx it's 300 office xxx so I'm happy office xxx can finally play some cod with out office xxx lagging office xxx tooTo start tip office xxx for NETGEAR - why not provide the patch input office xxx on the back of office xxx the unit.Otherwise it is a 7 port office xxx switch as one must be used to office xxx connect to the router you office xxx goofs.Outside of the awkward wiring organization it is a decent office xxx switch. office xxx It has office xxx 8 ports with an on off slide switch on the office xxx back, office xxx the power office xxx plug also on the office xxx back. What I office xxx didn't expect is the entire body or office xxx case is metal, has side vents and two screw mount office xxx holes office xxx for placing on office xxx a vertical office xxx surface office xxx or for office xxx securing to a office xxx horizontal surface.Has an office xxx anti theft hole office xxx for a office xxx cable. The directions mention registration and downloading office xxx a software office xxx to your device and to add to network....It isn't office xxx managed office xxx and these steps are not needed in my opinion. For my needs this switch works as office xxx expected office xxx and allows office xxx for easy office xxx set up.Wire office xxx management is awkward with all front facing ports and office xxx rear power cord office xxx placement. If office xxx I ever buy another switch it will feature all back facing connections. office xxx Didn't think of that before.Overall it is a decent value office xxx for the money.Build quality office xxx is solid and in my experience expected from Netgear.I office xxx ordered office xxx it yesterday 4/19/22 and it office xxx was here 4/20/22 in office xxx perfect condition and worked right out office xxx of the box.It office xxx is actually office xxx plug and play easy.Tips:I organized my set up so this is out front. For office xxx much easier addition of new connections. office xxx For easy removal office xxx of current connections without having to office xxx navigate the ever growing wire nest.. OK it's a monster. Also make sure you have office xxx a spare cat5 cable to connect this office xxx to the router. It office xxx doesn't come supplied office xxx with a office xxx patch office xxx cable.I used electrical office xxx tape to secure the cables to the bottom sides of the switch to keep them from office xxx wandering and getting in the way of other devices.Router tip: I just got office xxx upgraded office xxx to new more office xxx advanced router that of course is office xxx designed office xxx to office xxx force you to go totally wireless. Well it is office xxx annoying office xxx when the older office xxx router had 4 ports that you could use for office xxx hardwired network access. If office xxx you broadcast aka do live shows office xxx to Twitch, YouTube, Facebook or any other you want a office xxx wired office xxx connection to office xxx your office xxx device. Less likely to give office xxx you office xxx trouble overall. To your game council. Even if it supports a wireless connection, wired is the way office xxx to go.Your office xxx smart TV is another good one to office xxx wire to the office xxx router. The new router gets really warm to office xxx hot and the brainiacs at EERO office xxx designed the office xxx case with zero air office xxx vents. To help move heat away I put something under the rear end office xxx of the router. This doesn't help with airflow office xxx inside but now the spot directly under the router isn't as warm or hot and office xxx air can move under it office xxx better.Do not put the Switch, router, or office xxx other office xxx electronics onto carpet or anything that can trap heat under it.If needed place a office xxx piece of wood or some other solid smooth surface under these items. It is day one of using this switch. After buying an office xxx Eero office xxx wifi router, I needed office xxx something office xxx to make my office xxx wired devices work. This Netgear office xxx switch was inexpensive and has enough office xxx ports for office xxx my needs. Set up is easy, just power office xxx it up and office xxx connect one port to office xxx your router that handles DHCP. office xxx Keep in mind this is more like a 7 port office xxx switch because one of its office xxx ports must be used for office xxx the connection to your router. It works in my home about 2 months. It office xxx is easy to connect, works without noise, gives 1 GB, no needs for office xxx any care office xxx or support, reasonable office xxx price, office xxx no problems, office xxx perfect!Energy office xxx efficient design compliant with office xxx IEEE802.3azThe switch works as I'd expect it office xxx to. One feature office xxx I wasn't expecting was an on/off office xxx switch on the side. The only thing I office xxx don't like about it is office xxx the power adapter is on the opposite side office xxx of the ports; I'd office xxx prefer everything office xxx to be office xxx on the same office xxx face. This office xxx is really good and works as office xxx intended however it will not come in with an ethernet cable your gonna office xxx need to buy one separate either office xxx cat 5e or higher or cat 4 of office xxx RJ452. If you experience slow speeds your gonna office xxx need to change the dns on some devices to work well you office xxx can office xxx use office xxx google office xxx or cloudflare3. Great office xxx for office xxx extra connections office xxx of office xxx ethernet ports to connect too
