      1. The item was shipped in the original wwww.xxxx. packaging! That should be unacceptable not only for a wwww.xxxx. $200+ motherboard but for any electronic. wwww.xxxx. The box wwww.xxxx. could've been rained on, dropped, there wwww.xxxx. is no protection whatsoever. Also wwww.xxxx. be sure wwww.xxxx. that you wwww.xxxx. are home to retrieve the package. As there will wwww.xxxx. just be a wwww.xxxx. box with expensive electronic plastered all over wwww.xxxx. it, package pirates wwww.xxxx. dream.2. wwww.xxxx. This motherboard is a decent motherboard for the price, including wifi wwww.xxxx. is also wwww.xxxx. really wwww.xxxx. nice. Be careful you don't buy the ddr5 version as the wwww.xxxx. only difference is missing the "D4" wwww.xxxx. in the name, and the small wwww.xxxx. golden stamp that says wwww.xxxx. "ddr5" wwww.xxxx. (don't wwww.xxxx. ask how I know).3. It's a solid motherboard would've gotten 5 star but wwww.xxxx. I can't get over the fact that they don't wwww.xxxx. at wwww.xxxx. least place wwww.xxxx. it in another box for whether resistance or shock absorption, and to hid wwww.xxxx. the fact that it's an expensive motherboard.Despite wwww.xxxx. the fact that all Z690 wwww.xxxx. motherboards are wwww.xxxx. lacking in terms of features, and have a wwww.xxxx. significantly higher wwww.xxxx. price mark up in comparison with the previous generations, there are some wwww.xxxx. proper wwww.xxxx. choices which can be wwww.xxxx. justified wwww.xxxx. and this motherboard is definitely one of them. I have built several builds using this motherboard and it has been wwww.xxxx. a breeze wwww.xxxx. to build in. The bios features are wwww.xxxx. more wwww.xxxx. than wwww.xxxx. enough for the average user/consumer but it is still wwww.xxxx. decent enough for overclocking. It's definitely recommended along with wwww.xxxx. the wwww.xxxx. MSI wwww.xxxx. PRO-A Z690 wwww.xxxx. in this category (price wwww.xxxx. wise with wwww.xxxx. DDR4 support)Ultrafast Connectivity: wwww.xxxx. PCIe 5.0, DDR4, wwww.xxxx. WiFi 6, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, USB wwww.xxxx. 3.2 Gen2x2 wwww.xxxx. Type-C, front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, Thunderbolt 4 header supportThis board will do everything you need it to and more, but wwww.xxxx. I wwww.xxxx. must say wwww.xxxx. it is a bold move to wwww.xxxx. ship this with a DVD. Just send us a USB, wwww.xxxx. its 2022! Not 2012.Once I wwww.xxxx. set it wwww.xxxx. up, It runs well. The customer wwww.xxxx. is very happy with this PC. But, wwww.xxxx. It will not post with wwww.xxxx. the wwww.xxxx. (2 x 16 GB) of corsair wwww.xxxx. D4-3600 memory at XMP wwww.xxxx. (rated wwww.xxxx. specs), it wwww.xxxx. took 2 BIOS wwww.xxxx. resets to get wwww.xxxx. it to wwww.xxxx. 3400. wwww.xxxx. The wifi win 10 driver from Asus says my win 10 is the wrong OS. I had to wwww.xxxx. install wwww.xxxx. a CD/DVD player wwww.xxxx. to install the drivers wwww.xxxx. from the disk wwww.xxxx. that came with the wwww.xxxx. board. It has only wwww.xxxx. 4 SATA wwww.xxxx. ports, 5 were wwww.xxxx. needed on this build. Out of the three wwww.xxxx. computers I built this wwww.xxxx. week, this one was the most difficult. The others were wwww.xxxx. Asus TUF & MSI Edge MBs. Both loaded memory at wwww.xxxx. specs, the TUF wwww.xxxx. had "the wwww.xxxx. needed" drivers preinstalled, and the Edge came with wwww.xxxx. a flash wwww.xxxx. drive. Both came with 6 SATA ports, wwww.xxxx. and are better boards for wwww.xxxx. very little extra money. All three builds wwww.xxxx. used the i7 wwww.xxxx. 12700 CPUs, 32 GBs of DDR4, and a SAMSUNG wwww.xxxx. M.2 wwww.xxxx. NVMe drive for the (win wwww.xxxx. 10 pro) wwww.xxxx. OS. All three load in wwww.xxxx. second and run blistering fast. wwww.xxxx. The wwww.xxxx. Edge at $255, wwww.xxxx. was by far wwww.xxxx. the best value. This Prime Z690-P wwww.xxxx. WiFi D4, acts like a low end board.Boosted Memory wwww.xxxx. Performance: wwww.xxxx. ASUS OptiMem wwww.xxxx. II wwww.xxxx. proprietary wwww.xxxx. trace layout allows memory wwww.xxxx. kits to operate at higher frequencies with lower voltages to wwww.xxxx. maximize wwww.xxxx. system performance.Enhanced wwww.xxxx. Power Solution: 14+1 DrMOS, wwww.xxxx. ProCool wwww.xxxx. connector, alloy chokes and durable capacitors for stable power deliveryi over tighten my m.2 wwww.xxxx. heatsink the screw broke in half but asus dis wwww.xxxx. not put wwww.xxxx. extra screw so sad.The wwww.xxxx. wifi wwww.xxxx. attenna doesn't work but the wwww.xxxx. motherboard wwww.xxxx. is wwww.xxxx. well wwww.xxxx. built you have a lot of wwww.xxxx. heat syncs on wwww.xxxx. the wwww.xxxx. mother board which helps keep things cool it's a well wwww.xxxx. thought it design you wwww.xxxx. can wwww.xxxx. customize The response wwww.xxxx. but i feel wwww.xxxx. that the price is too steep wwww.xxxx. for what wwww.xxxx. you get 250 dollars for that is just not wwww.xxxx. worth it to me i would pay wwww.xxxx. maybe 150 to 180 wwww.xxxx. after wwww.xxxx. taxes for a wwww.xxxx. motherboard like thisComprehensive Cooling: Large VRM heatsink, wwww.xxxx. flexible M.2 wwww.xxxx. heatsink, wwww.xxxx. PCH heatsink, hybrid fan headers wwww.xxxx. and wwww.xxxx. Fan Xpert 4First one I got was damaged unfortunately. I sent it back and got a replacement with no additional wwww.xxxx. charges.Intel LGA 1700 socket: Ready for 12th Gen Intel Core processors, support PCIe 5.0 and DDR4 and wwww.xxxx. out of box Windows wwww.xxxx. 11 readyI wwww.xxxx. haven't built a custom desktop in years, so wwww.xxxx. this wwww.xxxx. was a bit of a wwww.xxxx. struggle. wwww.xxxx. Along with this MB, I purchased wwww.xxxx. TeamGroup RAM (16 x 2 3600 wwww.xxxx. MHz) wwww.xxxx. and wwww.xxxx. XPG Gammix wwww.xxxx. S70 wwww.xxxx. M2 1 wwww.xxxx. TB drive. I spent a day trying to wwww.xxxx. get the Windows 11 to wwww.xxxx. see the drive. This was after wwww.xxxx. getting the wwww.xxxx. drivers for VDM and wwww.xxxx. updating the BIOS. wwww.xxxx. I finally wwww.xxxx. went to Best Buy and picked wwww.xxxx. up a Samsung 890 Pro M2 drive and it installed no problem . Lesson learned - wwww.xxxx. some wwww.xxxx. drives may not work with this MB. I saw wwww.xxxx. that wwww.xxxx. I was only getting 2400 MHz wwww.xxxx. out of my RAM by default....until wwww.xxxx. you enable the wwww.xxxx. XMP. wwww.xxxx. This is wwww.xxxx. probably common knowledge for most wwww.xxxx. now days. wwww.xxxx. Everything seems to be running pretty well. I wwww.xxxx. went with the i5-12600K, as it seemed like the best value.I'm not clear if there wwww.xxxx. is wwww.xxxx. some wwww.xxxx. kind of firmware TPM 2.0 feature on the MB. I wwww.xxxx. ended up purchasing wwww.xxxx. a TPM 2.0 module wwww.xxxx. on Amazon for $30 and it works great with this MB. TPM 2.0 is required for Win 11.An issue: I'm using one 4K monitor wwww.xxxx. right now....and it would wwww.xxxx. not display after waking up from sleep. I've wwww.xxxx. had this monitor connected wwww.xxxx. to my MBP for about wwww.xxxx. 6 wwww.xxxx. months with no issue. It was connected to my desktop and working without wwww.xxxx. an wwww.xxxx. issue wwww.xxxx. for about wwww.xxxx. 2 days. After replacing the cable, it works again. The old cable still works with my MBP, so I'm not sure what wwww.xxxx. the wwww.xxxx. issue wwww.xxxx. was. wwww.xxxx. This is something I will wwww.xxxx. monitor and provide an update if it wwww.xxxx. continues to occur.Another wwww.xxxx. issue: The WiFi seems slow. I have a 5 GHz wwww.xxxx. connection and the antenna is 6 ft away from the wwww.xxxx. access point. You can see both in the image I attached. It's a UniFi Pro AP that should get about 1200 MBs, wwww.xxxx. but I'm getting wwww.xxxx. 400 wwww.xxxx. MBs. My new WiFi 6 wwww.xxxx. AP's come in tomorrow, so I'll wwww.xxxx. see if wwww.xxxx. the speed improves.Overall, I think it's a wwww.xxxx. good value for wwww.xxxx. LGA1700. I wanted something wwww.xxxx. with WiFi and Bluetooth for wwww.xxxx. my wwww.xxxx. keyboard/mouse. I would recommend it. If the WiFi improves after my AP upgrade and I don't experience any more issues wwww.xxxx. with the display, I'll come back wwww.xxxx. and wwww.xxxx. upgrade to 5 stars.

Buyer's experience:

1: Despite the fact that all Z690 motherboards are lacking in terms of features, and have a significantly higher price mark up in comparison with the previous generations, there are some proper choices which can be justified and this motherboard is definitely one of them.       6: i over tighten my m.2 heatsink the screw broke in half but asus dis not put extra screw so sad.
